God is the ultimate judge. But, Nkechi could have ran
out after hitting him with the hammer. She shot him
while he was helpless, no longer a threatening figure.
Just like shooting to kill someone who is fleeing. Or
shooting someone at the back. Or shooting someone
who is tied hands and feet. . . Now, if you had said:
'he fell off, stood up in shock and then rushed at her
with fury, she quickly picked up the gun and fired' ,
Ehen! I would hail her and fight anyone who says she
didn't try. I know he's evil and we think he needs to
die, but at least let Nkechi's own soul be intact
because i don't think it's easy to live after taking a
life. Nightmares and loss of meaning in life, etc. So,
never be killed when you could have defended
yourself. But if there's a way out, run instead!
Again, no court will convict her of murder.

You do not know what it is like to be in fear. In an alarmed state, your mind is not as rational as it normally is.

It is easy to be righteous when there is no pressure on you.

Question01:
Seriously, i do not expect any meaningful contribution from those countries when all they they could do during the Palestinian plight was to curse US or Isreal.
Besides, do they even have an army? Six of them banded against Isreal in 1948 and lost.
Jack, do you expect oppressors like Saudi, Kuwait, Iran or Pakistan government or Mullahs to liberate the oppressed in another domain? You mean Saudi and Kuwait that indoctrinate those fanatics and turn a blind eye to private donors to Islamist insurgencies, Iran that just hanged a 26 years old for possibly defending herself against a rapist or Pakistan that is about to hang a Mother after 3 years of incarceration for alledged blasphemy?
ISIS cannot be compared with some rebel groups in the West, easily wiped out by the government. ISIS is the product of the quest for a sharia state, an ideology that when you look beyond the battlefield, appeal to a vast fraction of mainstream muslims.
Good point.

Where were these countries during the plight of Palestine?

Some people here are really dull

Which court will convict her of murder? huh

There was a threat and she defended herself.

Once someone points a gun at you and tries to ra.pe you, it is already assumed that you are in an alarmed state of mind.

Killing the assailant to make sure he is dead is not a crime. It is only a crime if she tortured the guy by sodomizing him with the gun or something before killing him

In their theology, it's believe that water is life and must be respected while taking shower by covering your private. That's correct as far as I am concern.

JackBizzle, what is really being conveyed with respect to 'Akudaya' is that when someone dies, he is dead. Period. The idea that people see such person in another city etc, is that Jinn, most of them are bad, take the form. They are capable of taking form of your long dead grandfather and speaking to you. And you would recognize he's your grandfather. That is the illusion mentioned in above essay. The reality is the man talking to you is not your grandfather. He's Jinn. I learn that this thing is common in Hinduism as well. You just have to watch out.

Hinduism talks about reincarnation
Akudaya is a ressurected person
Jinn is a mischevious spirit

The fact that you guys keep forcing Arabic/Islamic theology into Yoruba beliefs and now, hinduism.

Islam and jinns have nothing to do with reincarnation. Period.

Akudaya is reincarnation. So your Jinn theory is out of the way.

I've been following for a while now and I'll like to say thank you to everyone that has contributed one way or the other.

There are many issues that the Bible isn't very clear about and I think this should be one of them. The problem usually with issues like this is that we would keep debating about them because we already have deep-seated ideologies formed by cultural upbringing and childhood training.

It's only natural because the Bible is written in words and letters, we could interprete and apply these words a thousand ways to agree with our individual opinions. BUT we aren't ambassadors of the letter because the "letter kills"!.

I think the issue of ornaments in general should be a personal doctrine. The questions that we must ask ourselves as we pursue body beautification are as follows. Is this really necessary? Does this edify my spirit? Does this glorify God? Am I doing this in accordance to the dictations of my flesh?

Christianity shouldn't be legalistic, it should be a relationship with the Holy Spirit. I know a lot of good Christians that have tattoos (eg Lecrae) but then it's between their spirit and the Holy Spirit.

Finally, I WILL not use tattoos because God is yet to lead me to see how a tattoo has glorified God in Nigeria (I'm not saying it doesn't happen).People naturally abhor it over here. So, there.....we could argue forever, we'll just keep going in circles.
GOD BLESS.

First of all, the person is dead. There is no reincarnation.

However, there are creatures known as Jinn, that can create an illusion of life, for people. By taking the form or the voice.
I know what a Jinn is.

Question01:
The only group worth considering is the Army of Mujahidin(AM), formed primarily to resist ISIS but even then, it remain to be known if AM oppose ISIS out of disapproval of ISIS methodology and teachings or out of suspicion that ISIS is a secret wing of Asaad wrestling back regions already liberated from Asaad 's grip.

There is need for you to group ISIS opposition in two.
A. Groups fighting ISIS as a means to an end.
B. Groups fighting ISIS as an end in itself.

The second group is what i seek. None of your examples so far falls here. They fall within the first group. Some of which like Al qaeda are just as vicious as ISIS and others like Kurds would undoubtly disarm once ISIS move out of their region.
Groups?

Why not countries?

Where are the Pakistani, Saudi, Kuwaiti, Iranian etc armies stomping the efforts of ISIS?

ISIS could be stopped in one day.

Just look at Europe as an example. Rebels are smashed by organised armies in a matter of hours. Can you ever imagine Russia listening to the babbling of anti-Russian rebels? The rebels will be bombed to kindgdom come.

The same way I don't believe that the tag 'extremist' is a compliment.Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) came to reform the people and he doesn't reform them by calling them extremists and venerating himself .
Question01(usermane) always find faults in everything muslims do and exempt himself as the only person doing the right thing.

Yes,he is trying to destroy his Islam with his ideologies.I know what I wrote,he is a deformist. For example,Islam says consuming pig is haram only for 'our reformer' to turn around and say only the meat is forbidden, the fat is halal(allowed).I don't know where the fat comes from if not from the flesh(Just the Jews that made halal what Allah(swt) made haram by twisting the name). Is this reforming right?

This is one among many of his and his folks twisted ideologies, clear facts from Qu'ran but trying to give it 'a modern meaning'.Just like Brother Empiree rightly said, you don't know what's on ground, you don't know usermane nor his folks but you are trying to be a gentleman who wants fairness. But you don't know who are defending,so dear brother just watch and don't jump into what you really don't know about.
Are you serious?

Question1 did not call you an extremist before you called him a deformist!

I do not need to know Question1's past to rightly discuss points on this thread. You and Empiree are behaving like bitter rivals that cant remove bias to talk about his point on reforming islam.

1) True. However it was too late by then. millions of slaves had already been transported by then. Britain turned on a better leaf towards its later stage but the rough treatment in its former colonies continued. Britain conquered the americas as well, destroying many Native tribes. by the time they left, the damage had already been done. Britain was the cause of a lot of damage in the world. and then made attempts to wash its hands off it. E.g., creation of israel, etc.

Look I am not denying African slavery by Arabs.

but if you compare the household treatment of Arab slaves to White slaves, you will know what I am talking about.

One of the only serious bad treatment of Arab slaves was the eunuch system and the horrible ordeals they had to go through to lose their manhood. but later on , they were most highly priced and owned by rich classes as harem guards. THey would normally rise to the highest positions of Governor, etc., since they were most trustworthy.

the other bad things was religious conversion, transportation conditions, etc. and slavery itself ofcourse.
When did you become an Arab history remixer/romanticist like Tbaba?

Arab/Islamic slavery of Africans was worse!

-Many of the slaves were killed. (how many slave descendants do you see in Arab lands?)
-Castration
-Walking across deserts to death
-Forced conversion
-Denial

The last one is the most painful...the Arabs never apologised and the Nigerian muslim keeps denying islamic involvement in slavery.

Islam › Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by JackBizzle: 6:15am On Oct 28, 2014
While every sensible person knows that ISIS is mostly a political issue with tribal warlords wanting to dominate and control a region in the Middle East, one cannot remove the religious component from its nature.

Reading about the evolution of ISIS, it is clear that ISIS is mostly a political power grab by tribal warlords and extremists. Here is a great article from a reputable middle east site exposing their origins http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/tr/security/2013/11/syria-islamic-state-iraq-sham-growth.html#

However, the religious component of ISIS is clear when it comes to recruiting new and young fighters- they promote their fighting as a religious duty. They portray the struggle as "we are fighting for the betterment of the Ummah. Come and join us as we fight against the infidels that oppressed us". As you can see, this is what brings some young muslim westerners who live comfortable lives in the West to go to war torn Iraq to fight for ISIS- they see themselves as helping an impoverished ummah fight against oppressors and return to their glory.

Yes, there is no doubt that there are also underlying issues of US and western foreign policy playing a part in causing ISIS. The war in Ira destabilized the country and created a power vacuum where those with guns and thugs could rise into power. Also, the anti-western sentiment from an "illegal war" is also a great tool for recruiting for ISIS.

Another religious issue with ISIS is the cleansing of religious minorities. ISIS also follows an extremist Sunni interpretation of islam and as such, sees other schools of thoughts in islam as heretical.
