After 15 years later, June 30th, 2010, I tell you today that my God is faithful. 15 years ago today, my mother had terminal stage four ovarian cancer. It was all over her ovaries.

She had four tumors around her heart that were asleep and one of them overlapped a nerve connected to her lung which shut down the entire diaphragm. My mom was breathing on one lung. But my mother being the determined and stubborn woman that she once was, she said that she had refused, if she was going to go and be with the Lord, that she refused to die with cancer.

And so she agreed to go and have a full hysterectomy where they take everything out. But no doctor here in San Diego, California, wanted to work on my mother because unfortunately when you lay down, you don't realize it, but we're breathing on two lungs. And so no doctor wanted to work on my mother because they knew immediately that she would die on the operating table.

Because unfortunately with a procedure like that for hysterectomy, you have to lay down. And so we came by faith, knowing that God was going to some way somehow make a way through. All God needs from you tonight is faith as tiny, tiny as a mustard seed because the Bible says that we can move mountains.

And luckily a doctor did step forward. There was a doctor who stepped forward and said, I'll do the surgery on you, but I need you to sign liability waivers because you will die on that operating table. And so my family signed waivers that my mother was going to die on the operating table.

And my, we were asking my mom, are you sure? Are you sure? Like, are you sure? Like you can live a little longer if you don't go on the operating table table. Like family members were asking my mom this. At the time I was only 13 years old and help me Lord get through this without crying.

We signed the liability waivers. The day of the surgery came, which was June 30th, 2010. And I remember laying in that hospital bed with my mom waiting, waiting for the time to come this, this peace of God just fell on us like this peace.

So heavenly peace. Like I can't even explain it. Like you would think we would be in that room crying, but we were laughing and we were talking about memories and we were laughing with my mom and it was just so peaceful.

We were just so full of joy when it was basically her last hours and she was dying. She was going to die on that operating table. We were being told that we already signed the paperwork, that we weren't going to sue the hospital, that we weren't going to, you know, so, you know, giving full liability away, like all that stuff.

And then we pray together. And it was such a peace to a point. Even my sister, my sister had just give her life to Jesus.

She had just got baptized, my older sister. And she literally said, mom, I'm going to go home with my baby, with her newborn baby. She's like, I'm just going to go home with my baby.

Mom, just call me when you get out because I know God's got you. And she went to go home and went to go to sleep. She was a new mom.

I pray that the Lord gives you such a peace tonight that even in the midst of storm, and even in the midst of being told that there is death around you, that you get to just have a peace that surpasses all understanding that you get to be how my older sister was, and that you get to just go home and just be like, just call me afterwards. I know you're going to make it. And we both sleep.

Before going to the operating room, I was with my mother. And my mom, they were getting her prepped. They're getting her ready.

The nurses and the doctor was there, the surgeon. And the surgeon was just saying, like, I, my condolences in advance. You're going to die.

Are you sure you want to do this? You're not going to make it. There was multiple specialists all throughout San Diego County of oncologists saying that my mother was going to die, that she wasn't going to make it. But obviously, we don't just listen to a doctor's report, but we listen to the ultimate report.

Man, I remember my mom started praying over the nurses and started praying over their hands. And this is again, this is before I knew Jesus. And during this time, I was very, very shy.

And so, which I know is hard to believe, but God will truly get you out of your shell if you're shy. All the shy people in this room. I remember sitting in that room and watching what was taking place.

And then I remember my mom told the surgeon right in front of me, she said, let me pray for you. And the surgeon rolled her eyes and said, I don't believe in a God. I believe in science.

And my mom said, let me just pray for you. And she kept rolling her eyes. She said, no, I don't believe in this God.

I don't believe in this. And my mom said, if this is truly, truly my last wishes, let me pray for your hands. Let this be my last wishes.

And so, the doctor literally, I was there. She rolled her eyes. She went, here.

And put her hands out. My mother grabbed those hands. And my mother prayed.

My mom said, Lord, show this doctor, the mighty doctor that I serve. Let your hands guide her. Let your hands.

And my mom went on full, full on prayer mode, right? She said, show this doctor. What a mighty God I serve. Show this doctor your signs and wonders.

Show this doctor. Like, my mom went full, full on prayer mode. That's just the mother that I had.

And I pray one day to be half of the woman of God that she was. I remember standing there, not even realizing what I was seeing taking place. And then we had walked my mom out to the surgery.

As far as I could go in that hallway, her hands slowly, you know, separated. And that's when I shouted. And I said, Mommy, even though I didn't have a full-on relationship with God yet.

But I said, Mommy, God is going to heal you. God is going to save you. I just know that I know God's going to save you.

And she shouted across the hallway. And she said, I can't wait to see you after. After my surgery.

I have difficulty having a logical discourse with Christians cos its like that ship sailed a long time ago for them

Secondly,no surgeon would offer condolences before a procedure, no matter how dire it is. So I don't even know what you're talking about
Yes,sometimes we can give a prognosis for a case which may be wrong,after all we are humans but we still go ahead to manage patients,just like this case. Sometimes we work and overturn our prognosis. The thing is we like being pessimistic, that way we dont give the patient too much hope.
And finally, why are you thanking your god,when the job was literally done by science? Your god had to wait for scientific breakthroughs, better medical equipment, more skillful surgeons to function. Also he has to work only if you have enough funds or insurance to handle the procedure. So if you dont have the wherewithal, the procedure wont be done,and your mom may d!e. Would you still praise your god?
Also I'm sure if the procedure has failed,you'll blame the doctors, not your god. But when it succeeds,its your god

From the pic below, logic doesn't necessarily have to be proven by science. For instance, love is logical but it cannot be explained by science. Same thing with spirituality. It's logical to believe in a creator because according to the Laws of Thermodynamics, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, so how did the universe come to be? It's perfectly logical (not scientific) to say it was created outside of time and space.
