While that is true, a lot of patient come to the hospital saying that they have malaria and typhoid or craw craw, not knowing that based on their symptoms, it is worse than that. Just because the doctor has a poker face doesn't mean he is not suspect a more insidious diagnosis based on your "typhoid and malaria" symptoms

From personal experience, one thing I google is drug dosages, especially for children, the amount of antibiotics syrup I will give to a newborn is different from what I will give to a one year old and a 3 year old. Although I can calculate a lot of figures from my head, I prefer a calculator for accuracy, besides another reason to Google is if a certain drug is safe for certain populations of people. I can never be caught dead giving, most hypertensive drugs, tetracycline or ciprofloxacin to a pregnant or nursing mother.

Another instance where one needs to google is skin diseases, because they look different in black people than white people you see in medical textbooks.

I have diagnosed many cases of Tuberculosis and HIV and 2 cases of leprosy, one patau syndrome and many more so far in my practice. Just by googling pictures.

Sometimes I Google side effects and drug drug interactions. Many docs don't pay attention to those

Medical school is still largely reputable in Nigeria. Take it to the bank.

When I was in med school, we had these same things back then but those involved were minute. I'm not sure it's much different today.

Even if u sort, if u more write well, the lecturer can be unable to pass u cos, like in most instances, 5 lecturers can mark just one script( 5 lecturers can contribute 7 questions in one particular department). So the bulk still lies on the medical student to write well, cos as they are marking, other lecturers can scrutinize other answers.


Again, during Viva exam( oral exam) trust me: IF SORTED AND PASSED THE WRITTEN EXAM AND U CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS WHEN ASKED IN FRONT OF LET'S SAY, 5 CONSULTANTS, THEY WILL BRING OUT UR SCRIPT AND SCRUTINIZE IT AND FAIL U THERE!



Many consultants even fear to pass any lazy medical students ( in fact the moment u fail and are eligible for a resit exam eh, they already see u as a failure).

Again, take note that even those that sort most times do so, not because they cannot pass.... But because there are limited slots to move to the next level. Every medical school has a quota. Some can only graduate 30 doctors per session, some more,.

At the end of the day u may find out that even those that sort may be even better doctors.

Cos everybody dey read like say tomorrow no dey for medical school.


Now after medical school, ur hands play a huge role in how good u are.

Lev. 24:44-46 says you can purchase foreign slaves and their children, and treat them as your property, and pass them to your children as an inheritance.

Exodus 21:20-21 says a Hebrew can beat a slave as much as he wants, as long as they survive for at least two days, "for the slave is his property".

Exodus 21:7-11 says a daughter who is sold into slavery is not to be set free, but the master can sell her if she doesn't please him.

In the New Testament, Paul says "Slaves, obey your masters with respect and fear" (Eph. 6:5)

Slaves must accept their position with humility (Eph. 6:5-

Slaves must please their master "in everything" (Titus 2:9, Colossians 3:22)

If your master is a Christian, you should work even harder to serve him so that you show respect to God. (1 Tim. 6:1-2)

No where does the Bible explicitly speak out against slavery. No where does the Bible say "Thou shalt not own another person as property."

To say that other cultures practiced slavery so God allowed it is to argue for moral and cultural relativism. God gave the Hebrews moral and cultural laws to seperate them from other nations. Any person separated from his family and sold on the auction block probably wished God had clearly condemned it.

Rape:
Deut 22:28-29 lays out the means by which a man may rape a virgin, pay off her father, and marry her. Nothing says that she has the right to say no.
