The woman coming from a man's rib thing could've been the bible's way of talking about genetic engineering, you know. The being (whoever he was) took some blood samples from the rib to geneticall engineer the woman. The bible is always very vague about it's stories. logicboy: |

Rubbish. Atheism is not a result of any high intellectualism. It is as a result of taking too much BS served by religions. debokaz: A very funny but serious thread.Atheism I believe is a result of high level intellectualism.I had been where Avicenna is when trying to solve an engineering problem et al.Thank God I was able to return safe with my Islam.Various events lead to finding out about God.My conclusion is God cannot be scientifically proven.I lost a friend who was studying philosophy to madness because of this. The best people do is to resort to logic.God is divine. |
Religion / Re: Is There Equality In Heaven? by jagunlabi(m): 12:21pm On Apr 16, 2012 |
Looks like the hierarchical structure in the religious heaven will be pyramidal like with the yahweh israeli children sitting higher up the pyramid than the jesus followers, christians. Men will sit higher up the pyramid than women, of course. We all know how daddy yahweh despise women, according to the bible. emöfine2: Are the roles of men and women according to religious constitution maintained on earth applicable in heaven? Or is there no recognition of gender in a celestial body/habitat? |

Religion / Re: Christianity And Miracles by jagunlabi(m): 12:53pm On Apr 13, 2012 |
Does the church and it's followers even know the message of your lord Jesus? Most of the message was erased from the bible pages in the early days leaving just remnants, you know. jmoore: The main function is to spread the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Religion / Re: Christianity has Contributed much positively To Mankind by jagunlabi(m): 12:49pm On Apr 13, 2012 |
It is a religion, dude. You may also consider it as some form of relationship with God, but you worship him as a god, don't you? That makes it a RELIGION, then. jmoore: |
Religion / Re: Jesus Christ Is Not A Christian by jagunlabi(m): 3:35pm On Apr 12, 2012 |
And what has all this got to do with the central theme of Jesus not being a christian? You christians just love to quote random verses that has nothing to do with anything. goshen360: @ Psoter, |

Religion / Re: The Fear Of God Has Been Lost In The Church And Nations by jagunlabi(m): 11:00am On Apr 10, 2012 |
No, they don't. They only think they do. That is "fake fear". If they truly fear the god they worship for what he will do to them if they do bad things, Nigeria should be a peaceful place to live in today, something which is not the case. Nigerians' fear of their god is complete FAKERY. HIPOCRISY. Callotti: |

So what's the point of making anyone believe in the existence of a GOD? That isn't going to make them RELIGIOUS anyway, should that be your aim. |
Religion / Re: Why Cant Our Religious Houses Help Our Youths by jagunlabi(m): 10:54am On Apr 10, 2012 |
Because they(the so-called MOG) are not in the business of helping anyone. Shine ya eyes and buy yourself some brain matter, dude. deandavid: now we have seen that our govt both federal, state and local govt are delivering, Nigeria being a very religious nation, and our religious leaders both muslim and christian have great influence on the people. With this status and said responsibility in guiding the people aright and seeing to their well being, why cant this religious leaders help create jobs for the youths in their domains.i was in a catholic church last week and the announcer was mentioning millions collected from last year's harvest,i was wondering what do they do with this money? Ok they give the money to the bishop, and the bishop uses it to help the poor,by giving them food materials etc. etc. But is that wise enough? I dnt think so, WHY CANT THEY USE THE MONEY TO BUILD INDUSTRIES IN NIGERIA TO EMPLOY THE YOUTHS IN THEIR CHURCHES. All they do is open private universities, that only the rich can attend, including my our dear catholic church, We recently heard of a bishop owning 4 jets and starting an airline business, that is good, but not good enough, how many members can that airline employ. Why not do something bigger to employ millions of youths in their church that both the rich and poor members can benefit. |

I totally agree with this post. You cannot LOVE what you FEAR. But most importantly, you cannot FEAR what you don't physically SEE. Callotti: You can never respect or love something or someone you fear. |
Religion / Re: Do Miracle Realy Exist? by jagunlabi(m): 4:38pm On May 06, 2010 |
^^^ Okay, i'll be serious. There are no miracles. What you refer to as miracles are nothing more and nothing less than "normal" things that we humans are capable of when we finally return to our full state of being. But right now, we are still in our fallen state because of our lack of belief in ourselves and our capabilities to do all these socalled miraculous acts. There is no healing act that any of those pastors are doing that all humans cannot do on their own. We all have that gift built in us, but turned off because we have been told that we don't have that capability. But we do have it. To buttress this view of mine, watch this video clips, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nKSq2tV1kE Watch all the 7 clips and get to know what we have not been told about us, and what is possible. Know thy self. |
Religion / Re: Do Miracle Realy Exist? by jagunlabi(m): 11:10am On May 06, 2010 |
Yes, there are miracles. One example is nigerians clingin on to all these, foreign imported, desert dogmas and still living their lives by them in the 21st century. Now, that is a miracle. |
Religion / Re: Love And Submission? by jagunlabi(m): 5:11pm On May 05, 2010 |
Deep Sight:Haha! It is like you read my mind because i just edited my post to add just that. |
Religion / Re: Love And Submission? by jagunlabi(m): 5:06pm On May 05, 2010 |
^^^^ IMO, when you truly love someone, you find it also easy to submit to that person. The two go together. Love causes submission. If the husband truly loves his wife, then he should submit to her in certain situations, and vice versa the wife in other situations. I don't need the bible giving me guidelines on that. This is just pure common sense. But we have to be very careful here what we are calling "submission". Different people interprete that word differently. Personally, i don't like that word being used in the context of marriage. To me, the word "submission" means to respect other people's feelings, and in this context, husband and wife should respect each other. |
Religion / Re: Love And Submission? by jagunlabi(m): 5:13am On May 05, 2010 |
^^^^ Well, all i can say is that, christian women deserve men like romeo here. Because only women with zero self pride will tolerate a lifelong partnership with a person who thinks like our romeo, and tragically, there are many of such cases out there. Christian romeo meets christian juliet for a christian marriage made in the christian heaven and powered by the christian bible. What more can be said? Happy married life to them all, especially to the christian women. |
Religion / Re: Do You Feel Guilty When You Offend Someone by jagunlabi(m): 4:49am On May 05, 2010 |

Religion / Re: Is There Anyone On Earth That Wants To Be Like Jesus Christ by jagunlabi(m): 4:57pm On May 04, 2010 |
johnomowa:-It is said that Jesus Christ died for our sin. - Who wan die for other people's sins? Is that not moronic? People are having their hands full dying slowly for themselves. -When he his alive, he does not have house, - No one ssstupiddd reach dat level in the new millenium. -but walk from one nation to another - Who wan dey waka about like a crazeman?Private jets are the in thing these days, and luxury hotels and villas, 2010 style -He suffered a lot on earth - Naija people no dey suffer enough as it is now? -He doesn't change his cloth while he was alive. - Are you okay at all? How is not changing one's cloth all one's life a virtue to emulate. -Now can anyone go through those pain?, TELL ME, - Can jesus go through the pain nigerians are going through now in their everyday life? The ones you've listed already are more than enough, abeg. Anymore added to the list will probably make me puke. And you are wondering why people don't want to be like your jesus. |
Religion / Re: Love And Submission? by jagunlabi(m): 4:34pm On May 04, 2010 |
Romeo4real:This has got to be the biggest crock that i have ever seen posted on this forum. It is true when they say that the way one interpretes the scriptures shows how that person is on the inside.Romeo must have an ego the size of mount everest. Men don't need love from their wives? Men prefer submission of their wives to their love? What the. . . Abeg, my man, speak for yourself and don't draw all men into your egotrip. With love comes respect. With respect comes deference. With deference comes submission, and this goes both ways. When a family faces a serious crisis who are the people who face this crisis head on? Only the husband or both partners? We are not living in the bronze age desert society, in case you have not noticed. The family dynamics are different these days, especially in 2010. |

Religion / Re: Do You Want To Find Out How God Speaks To You ? by jagunlabi(m): 7:45am On May 04, 2010 |
davidylan: davidylan:Oh yes, you all are. That is the very foundation your religion was built upon. That is why christianity(your religion) is a henotheistic religion. Look the word up in the dico. That is the very focal point of your intolerance of others' ways to their creator. Don't even try to deny that, davidylan. And besides, you don't have a clue of GOD'S words, so stop trying to quote them. All you know, have and do quote on NL are just words of men who seek to control the minds of fellow men with words. davidylan:We all are doing it's will, davidylan. You don't have to be affiliated to one particular religion, sect or cult to be doing that. We all are, automatically. We are all on "doing the creator's will" autopilot. Difficult to digest for people like you who are ruled totally by the ego, i know. |
Religion / Re: Do You Want To Find Out How God Speaks To You ? by jagunlabi(m): 7:26am On May 04, 2010 |
noetic17:Do not underestimate the devil, bro. You are not devil proof, especially knowing fully well the fact that, as a christian, the ego controls your mind totally. |
Religion / Re: Do You Want To Find Out How God Speaks To You ? by jagunlabi(m): 7:13am On May 04, 2010 |
noetic17:Noetic, we are ALL parts of GOD, or maybe i should say, we are ALL physical expressions of GOD, and we all serve it, whether we believe in it's existence or not. It really does not matter one bit. From the unicellular organism right up to sentient multicellular beings like us, we are all serving the true GOD via our existence in this reality and our experiences. So the creation question of yours is neither here nor there because it really is meaningless in this context. We should all just get on with the evolutionary journey(which is the true serving of GOD) that we are all here to undertake, theists and atheists of all kinds alike. noetic17:The proof? My existence here is the proof. My participation in experiencing this reality is the proof. My desire to be involved in the evolution of mankind on this plane of existence is the proof. There is no better proof than that in existence. As for your question about having sighted the creator before, that is a very meaningless question. It is neither here nor there. I do not need to sight it, i just need to get on with playing my part in the evolutionary journey of humanity. I play my part and let others play theirs, and all parts are valid or else they wouldn't be in existence to be played. My own view. |

^^^ That or some other evil looking character from the world of the warcraft game. Another character i conjure up is the evil Sauron, from the LOTR saga. |

After reading the profile of the bible god, this is the image that i always conjure up in my head in other to fit him, Yahweh on his throne.
