streetwize:And, according to you, that 2+2=4 is . . . christianity? Why not islam or hinduism or judaism, or any other religious ideology? To a muslim, 2+2=5 would be christianity or hinduism or buddhism or taoism or judaism. In other words, all religious ideologies, no matter in what cloak they are wrapped in, are all 2+2=5. It all depends on from whose perspective is the equation viewed. Catch my drift? |

Liss:What sort of question is this? You want to tell me that you do not attribute the impending breakup of this two unfortunate couple to the venomous utterances of christians in here. Venomous trashtalks that are firmly based on the scriptures of their evil religion called christianity? You talk of hatred of christianity, after reading this thread, tell me if it is not justified to loathe a religion that turn people into intolerant, venomous, fanatical bigots who have just managed to destroy a relationship. If you dey for wonderland, me i still dey hia and know what is going on. |

Image123:Yes, that is exactly what i mean. Man's inner state of being creates his world in which he lives. Man's inner state of being has been quite "unsane" for the last 3 millenia atleast and look at what kind of world we have created. The new consciousness will help create a new world for us to live in. No need to laugh, image, you will understand sooner or later. |

Oh boy!Katakata don bust! See what damage intolerance, acute and blind religious prejudice can do to innocent people. My guy, abeg take am easy.Don't take any rash decisions just yet. Call your woman and sit her down to let her explain why she took this particular step before you make any decision about your future. Give her a chance to explain her feelings. CHRISTIANS!You folks are of the devil! You are THE SATAN'S SPAWNS! Honestly. Be who u r: |

Religion / Re: My Boyfriend Is An Atheist. I Love Him But My Family And Friends Hate Him. Help by jagunlabi(m): 10:13am On Apr 12, 2010 |
The funniest thing about the replies of most christians here is that, it is really not that the guy professed to not believing in God is the real problem, but the real issue is that he rejected the christian god. If the guy had said that he believes in some kind of concept of God that does not conform to the christians' concept(say, for ex, he is a pantheist), people will still be here calling him with the same names they are calling him now, so it is not about not believing in a God, but about he rejecting the CHRISTIAN IDEA OF WHAT GOD IS, hence rejecting christians themselves. This is nothing other than the imposition of the christian ideology on someone else who does not buy the ideology. This is nothing short of FANATICISM from the part of the christians. And for those seeing problems with the possible children from these two, the kids of the future are going to be more tolerant and less closeminded than you lot.So religious factors will not matter much to them when it comes to choosing life partners. It is already happening as i type. |

KAI!This thread na wa!Make una dey witness prejudice, intolerance and discrimination in the name of god and religion. It is just absolutely sickening and way too surreal for me. One day, this old ways of thinking that create all these illusions of separation amongst us will finally seize to exist. I can hardly wait for that day to come. |
Religion / Re: Jesus Is Coming Again by jagunlabi(m): 7:30am On Apr 12, 2010 |
Jesus is not coming again. What is coming is the christ consciousness, the total awakening and expansion or blossoming of humanity's consciousness out of the tiny boxes it has been imprisoned in for millenia, and it is already here and happening(perhaps slower in Nigeria due to the still very strong grip of religions and their doctrines on people's minds). The old consciousness of the last 3 or 4 millenia is leaving and a new one is already here to replace it. That is the christ consciousness, when all that is hidden shall be revealed, when the old ways things are structured on earth will be destroyed and replaced with a new and much more evolved version to enable peace, love, unity and tranquility to reign on earth once again. Anyone waiting for the white hippie to appear in the skies as their saviour returning, will be thoroughly disappointed. Not to be able to let go, to shed the old consciousness that has caused so much sufferings, mayhem, havoc, genocide, over the past millenia, and be able to embrace the new consciousness, the new way of being, the christ consciousness, is what is meant by being unprepared. Most religious folks fall into this category of the very spiritually unprepared because they are still immersed in religious doctrines that are totally founded on the old consciousness. That is why we still have violence, savagery and barbarisms happening worldwide in the name of our differences. The Jos massacre comes to mind. So this is the time to readjust, folks, 'cos the time is running out. Time to get rid of the old ways of thinking, of being, and embrace the new consciousness, the christ consciousness, or be left by the way side to your own selfcreated hell. This is not about what one believe in, but rather about what one's state of being is. So, folks, start updating your operating systems now before they become redundant and you all fall by the wayside and get left behind. Don't cling on to windows DOS when others will be running on windows 7 or better. A word is enough for the wise. |

DYnamis:Why should the death of jesus that happened two millenia ago be of any importance to people that live today? And why do you think that that should change the gospel singers' fortune? I do not follow your train of thought there. Two millenia ago is two millenia ago. Two millenia later is two millenia later. Two totally different eras running on totally different dynamics and programme. The peoples who live in both eras are totally different to each other in many areas, running on totally different programmes. So, what do you expect? |

bawomolo:Or maybe she just has a very tolerant nature towards all these worldly beliefs.Or maybe she does not take all these different beliefs too seriously like other folks do. Or maybe she has come to realise that it is not what religious beliefs one has that count, but what and how one is being every moment of one's life. Maybe she has come to realise that it is behaviour, who and what one is, that counts and not in which religion or sect or cult one belongs. Maybe. . . |

Two words of advice,"MARRY HIM" You are not going to see any better man to propose to you in any church, i swear. All you will see in churches are a bunch of scriptural hypocrites and bible thumbing bigots of men who use biblical scriptures to disrespect and belittle women. The socalled religious men have egos the size of mount Everest. If you let him out of your grasp because of peer pressure, my sister, ya own don finish as far as Mr. right is concerned.Your boyfriend(according to your description of him) is far more spiritual than any christian man you have and will ever know. It is your life and your happiness and not that of your parents and your church brethrens, so choose wisely. Sia Fuller: |

On the financial lucrativeness(or lack of it), even though the christian population is large enough to sustain gospel singers, the poor faithfuls have already invested and are still investing so much of their money in financing and sustaining their pastors lavish lifestyles with all them private jets, that they don't have much left to give to gospel singers.Talk of money badly spent. |
Religion / Re: Nigerian Secular Artists To Turn Gospel Artists by jagunlabi(m): 7:05am On Apr 10, 2010 |
DYnamis:Lol!Why should they leave a lucrative area and move into a niche one?Are you kidding or what?Gospel music is a niche music genre directed ONLY at a particular kind of audience called, CHRISTIANS.Why make music for a niche group when you can write songs for much wider and larger audience?Artists that move out of gospel music probably do so because they felt boxed up by all those ideological walls surruonding them and wanted to spread their creative wings without those walls to contend with, among other reasons. Gospel music was probably way too restrictive for them creatively. Okay, i am just as unhapppy as you about the very shallow lyrics of nigerian pop music artists, but a musician does not have make gospel music to make songs with meaningful and deep lyrics.I find most gospel tracks to be quite shallow and one dimensional as well. All they ever sing about is praising and glorifying their own religion and the god they worship. There is no depth in that. Whenever a gospel singer opens his or her mouth to sing, you just know what lyrics are coming out. They are just too predictable.Gospel music lack spiritual depth that goes beyond just praising and glorifying some gods somewhere in the sky.Gospel music is nothing but a propaganda music genre for propagating christian religious ideologies and most people know this deep down, so they reject it to a large extent. A good musician should always make songs with deep spiritual lyrics that are devoid of religious bias, and the type that the entire humanity can and should identify with and not just a niche group. . . as well as fun and lighthearted music. Gospel artists will do well to take note of that if they want to pull in wider audience. |

Religion / Re: Claims To Divinity - - - - Everywhere! by jagunlabi(m): 9:41pm On Apr 09, 2010 |
I guess the fraudulent early church fathers knew that in the distant future mankind will finally realise their divinity, so they put this event into the bible as a "prophecy" to warn unfortunate believers to resist just to buy the church time when that finally happens.Very smart and perceptive of them. |

Religion / Re: Did God Need Faith To Create The World? by jagunlabi(m): 5:08pm On Apr 09, 2010 |
Lol!A creator needs to have faith in HIM/HER/ITSELF and the possessed creative abilities to be able to create anything, and that includes GOD.This one is not rocket science. Coming to the level of us humans, any individual that possesses high creative capabilities but lacks any faith in himself or herself and is always looking for some external figure to do the creational acts for him or her is not going to do much creating of anything. Since GOD is the alpha and the omega - meaning that it is the only thing in existence, meaning that it is all alone - it is forced to have faith in itself to carry out the creational acts. |
