odogwu9: 1966 Coup: “THE IGBOS NOW VINDICATED AND EXONERATED” Olusegun Obasanjo.
1. Azikiwe defeated Awolowo to become the first Nigerian Premier of Western Nigeria (present Southwest plus Edo and Delta States). Awolowo instead of forming Opposition, rather formed Egbe Omo Yoruba and used it to intimidate Yorubas that won election on NCNC platform to cross carpet and join him against Azikiwe. This was the first parliamentary coup in Nigeria. . Are you sure of this or you uncle told you, and you refuse to verify the veracity of this story?. How many seats were contested, and how many were won by NCNC?. I know you are slow, but answer my question first |

I already knew some moves like this would happen when igbo people were making noise up and down that Lagos is no man 's land. Yoruba surely know how to respond to things. this is permanent response which would make igbos shut up for life. I expect more strategic laws as this would be made. Throwback: Only a bastard does not know where he belongs.
Let the minority pass their own bill naa. Or has anyone stopped them if they have the number?
The day Enugu or Anambra will belong to all Igbos, only then can you be taken serious outside your own tribal enclave. When you have already achieved integration within Igboland, you can then begin to seek integration among people you hate.
Clansmen looking for integration. Why not embrace the culture of where you are refugees so you can be integrated?

I am ashamed for this Man. this is an educated man talking without facts. which election did zik contest with awo? How many seats did ncnc win out of the 80 seats contested? which party was leading before the controversial cross-carpeting? which party did those who cross carpeted come from, and to which party? please provide the names of those people who left ncnc for ag. Nonsense, I pity graduates who have passed through this man if he is a lecturer. IkpuMmadu: .
"Nigeria’s problem began many years ago after the late Nnamdi Azikiwe scored a fantastic victory in the Western House as a member of the House and his party was to form the government. But Awolowo, who brought federalism as a form of governance reverted to tribal politics when Azikiwe defeated him in the election. Awolowo felt, as the strongman of the Yoruba, Azikiwe should not have won the election in his place, and he could not countenance an Igbo man coming to be the premier or the first minister or prime minister of a predominantly Yoruba place. Night came, and when day broke, Zik discovered his majority had collapsed.
The Yoruba abandoned him and went to a strange person they did not know ideologically, that is Awolowo, on the basis of tribe. So, Zik was forced to rethink as an intelligent person, to relocate. He went back to his own part of the country to become the first Premier of Eastern Region. Some of us sprang up too, in going with Awolowo’s federalism, that the notion that there are only three tribes or sections in the country was so fundamentally defective that we called on the metropolitan power, Britain, to correct this before they would leave. So, we in the Middle Belt of Nigeria came together and decided that we would call ourselves ‘people in the middle’ and that we were not Hausa, we were not Fulani. At that time, we told Britain, Nigeria had over 250 tribes but that we could not dissect Nigeria into 250 nations

Are you serious at all? Omenani: There is a clear distinction on who owns the land. If your forefathers were on that land, even before the presence of oil was even known, then it should be declared your land. Oil is not everything. Each region needs to develop their own comparative advantage. One industry that needs to be focused on in Nigeria is our agricultural industry. Currently, 80% of Nigeria's GDP is derived from selling oil. Such an over reliance on oil is quite damaging. We have nothing to show for this reliance on oil either. |

Thanks avobati: Do I have chance at all for Accountant at all?
Gurus, abeg help me calculate o.
Going by your experience, would be best if you can make the required scores in PTE. Please try prepare well to score at least 79 on all bands. That would most likely take you to 70 points and then apply for state nomination (preferably NSW). Which will then give you total of 75 points.
The assessment of economics will not be necessary to get you up to 75 points (with state nomination)
Hope this helps |

Can experience garnered before BSc. be counted towards assessment. example below: AAT(ICAN) 2008 Started relevant accounting work in 2008 (Immediately after the cert.) Got BSc. in 2014 (Still working along) Got another BSc. 2016 (still working along) Becomes Chartered Accountant 2016 ( Still working).
I have worked in 3 different Industries with not less.
Would all these experiences before the BSc. qualify for assessment purpose?. Total years of experience in 9+.
Response would be appreciated.

Politics › Re: FG Directs Oil Companies To Relocate Headquarters To Niger-delta by jahrule: 11:47am On Mar 03, 2017 |
Oil companies are private ventures and as such the Owners site the head office where ever they feel is suitable for the purpose. Government has little or no power over this issue.
Another thing to consider in location choice of companies is funding, Oil companies would like to have their head office where they could easily contact Banks for funding projects.
Security situation in Niger-delta region is too volatile and no reasonable investors would site Its head office in such region.
Likely defence these companies would put up are the following: 1. Major Investments of these companies are in deep offshore which falls under federal government claims and no state can claim(Oil companies workers can throw more light to this) 2. Security situation would make them to maintain a skeletal offices in ND 3. Government has no right to tell them where to site their offices as non-governmental organizations.
But let`s see what happens. |

Sometimes I sit and think or should I say creating a scenario in my head... like I'm thinking of how the future would be or I'm recreating a past event that happened (to me) and you know turn it to how it should have been? sort of. Sometimes I'm curious about the littlest things it just makes wonder a lot. like there's just mysteries in this world, hell the universe like what if there's another planet like earth and there's another me somewhere out there in space?....

As a Yoruba guy, one reason why i like dating Igbo ladies is that. Yoruba ladies have this attitude of proving too difficult to get which somebody like me don`t like. I f igbo lady likes you, she won`t hide it, as soon as you approach her, things start working. This doesn`t make them to be cheap either.
I was dating one smart Igbo lady, this relationship was a promising one until this stupid, good for nothing Kanu started his hatred campaign recently, and her best friend is one strong Village-Igbo girl who always look at me with bad eye, normally wants her to participate in their Igbo things. That`s how our relationship turn sour because of one stupid guy poisoning minds of gullible followers, ever since then i don`t normally see my relationship with any Igbo girl as promising because i know at the end, it`s either her family oppose it or her close friends start discouraging her. To be honest.
Igbos are the most tribalists people in Nigeria, and i have also observe that on Nairaland, Yoruba are most of the tim on the defensive side who can`t help but get into mud fight with the Igbos on this forum. Even with this, i won`t still call all Igbos are bad people because i have very good number of Igbos as friends i can trust even than my fellow Yorubas. We hav good people everywhere just like bad people abound among all tribe but to say the truth, this Ndamdi Kanu`s campaign has planted the seeds that would eventually cause flows of blood in this country very soon, the painful part of it is that most of these things are lies to achieve his own purpose. |

If Biafra is granted independence. I think Nigeria should adopt another name, because the name is already synonymous to bad things like drug, 419 etc. So we could have new branded name, if not let's continue to bear the name because if you change it, it will make no difference. |
