stanluiz:lmao @indigenous industrial hub. ibos and their question for foolish titles. you mean there are more indigenous industries in aanambra than Lagos or even ogun state? keep lying to yourself. at the end of the day the same Anambra is shamelessly hiding it's IGR ![]() |
LZAA:ignoramus what happened when ngozi was the finance minister and emefiele was the CBN governor? was that not when we were borrowing to pay salary? they are afonja abi? ![]() you mean ibos like dangote, otedola, alakija? keep fooling yourself |
Omeokachie:he's saying the raw truth about the old politicians!!! which definitely includes the saraki dynasty. take it back!!! |
LZAA:yes we will when Jonathan was there your people supported him blindly and he never thought of dredging the river for you? how about akpabio that budgeted for ibaka deep sea port over 5yrs and embezzled the money? ![]() keep looking for outsiders to blame. your eye go soon clear. for your info the FG is not contributing 1naira to LEKKI seaport keep wailing!!! |
DabuIIIT:yes the government contributed mostly but the people and traditional rulers giving support to the militants should learn from tompolo and asaruli dokubo. these militants end up enriching themselves instead of bettering the lives of their people like they claim to do. while the foot soldiers later go into town and still rob the poor citizens and kill them. the situation of the ND is very complicated. the FG needs to develop the region to justify the crude we've gotten from them and Pacify the people. but massive reorientation is needed to end militancy cos even if they get good roads and hospitals they'll still want free money for the boys. |
LZAA:yes they have complained but the southwest can build as much 10 ports. there is one planned for badagry and the one for epe is already under construction. Ondo state has a coast line that can take at least two deep sea ports, ogun can build one or two too. don't address the security challenges in your region and be complaining Lagos and south west is taking everything when badagry and epe are completed and they start getting good traffic see if apapa won't be decongested your wailing has just started ![]() modified sooner or later ijebu waterside in ogun will also get a sea port have you seen the kind of development going on in ogun state already? you will come here in 15-20yrs and tell us it's because ogun produced a president and a VP that the state is developed ![]() |

LZAA:stop making a fool of yourself. we've all seen pictures of Lagos on the 40s and 50s here on nairaland long before it became the capital of Nigeria. Lagos was not the only capital before independence. why is calabar, asaba (and even Ibadan and lokoja where lord luggard stayed and officiated from) not as developed as Lagos? after almost 30yrs why is abuja still struggling to catch up with Lagos? why does Abuja still have less than 1/4 of the population of Lagos? Lagos is what it is today primarily because of the commercial activities which started decades before amalgamation!!! the Portuguese traded in Lagos and people came from far and wide to trade with them to buy guns and other items. Lagos is also what it is today because of the effort of tinubu and successive governments. we all know how Lagos was left to rot by the country and how obj our own brother tried to starve the state of funds. Lagos is also what it is today because of security of lives and goods to a good extent and the warm nature of south westerners. are you blind? can't you see this part of the write up? But, according to the Managing Director of Oktopo Logistics Limited, Mr. Samuel Elem, the facilities at river port in the city were wasting due to lack of patronageand this According to him, “nobody would want to risk transporting his consignments where they would not be delivered safely. Everybody knows what has been happening in the Niger Delta areas. The means of conveying the cargoes to the port can be hijacked by thieves.”you encourage millitants to blow up pipelines and fight the government but the same millitants also rob your business men and kill them. yet you expect them not to run to a safer region for business? secure your region and stop making excuses for the development Lagos is enjoying. if you secure your region your business men will use your ports and Lagos can have breathing space. don't even tell me I don't know what i'm saying cos I'm in the pharmaceutical industry. I stayed in cross River and akwa ibom state 2014 to late 2015. I left because I was robbed, shot on the right side of my chest and left to die. I barely escaped with my life and I had to run back home in the southwest immediately I recovered. Armed robbery is a daily activity in those two states and I can attest to it. tell your brothers to stop killing businesses with militancy and robbery and your region will get investors. will dangote not have preferred to put his refinery in delta, rivers or akwa ibom if he's sure his investment will be safe? but he moved it down here cos the region is not secure. some south south and south east youths are still blaming Lagos for their lack of development when they've refused to address the issue of militancy and robberies. before you say I'm lying attached is the picture of the scar on the right side of my chest from the robbery attack. even though I made good money there it's a warning to never venture to that side of the country for business again cos life is more precious.

ikdaddy01:the way you illiterates just jump into conclusion is baffling same way you naive tribal bigots said Enugu airport will take most of the traffic from MMIA. 5yrs down the line and your Enugu airport is struggling to get 10% of the traffic Lagos is getting. who told you the ports in the ss are not functional? are you blind? see this part of the write up But, according to the Managing Director of Oktopo Logistics Limited, Mr. Samuel Elem, the facilities at river port in the city were wasting due to lack of patronagehow about this part Also, Managing Director of Sceptre Consult, Mr Ayodele Jayeola, who said the port was strategic to Warri, Rivers and Onne ports, explained that importers were reluctant to move their cargo through the port because the river was not deep enoughand this part However, he explained that insecurity along the river creeks and estuaries may have created fear in the minds of shippers.for a start pls stop blaming yorubas. we are tired of taking the blame even when you get hit by a parked car. leave us alone. talk to your youths to stop hijacking containers and steal from the ports. then encourage your business men to use the ports. stop blaming us!!! we are tired of your infantile rants!!! thank you!!! |
blessingsonflee:you are the foolish one for not understanding that good people sometimes have children that turn out wayward no matter how hard they try. you lack common sense |
CyynthiaKiss:lol actually buhari has killed more than 783,000 Christians. the correct figure is 783,000,000 illiterate ![]() |
three:illiterate!!! dasuki used arms money for election not security vote. that doesn't mean using security vote for election is right anyway. but the 2.1b dollars was arms money!!! |
Edu3Again:lol delusion of grandeur. |
blessingsonflee:keep exhibiting your foolishness |
blessingsonflee:so what will he do his fool grown daughter? even pastors end up having one or two wayward children sometimes. I guess you are so dumb to know the concept of free will? meaning you can only show your kids the right way and the conveniences of taking the wrong turn, you can't force them to be good especially when they've attained independence. what do you expect gbaja to do to this is daughter who is obviously an adult and probably independent? flog her? illiterate |
CodeTemplar:does CU currently have the same number of hostels and other buildings to maintain as unilag? maintaining buildings for 57k people will definitely cost more than maintenance for 15k people. use your brain!!! |
CodeTemplar:btw how many old hostels and classrooms does CU have to maintain with lesser student population? in unilag alone there is mariere hostel, Amina, Jaja, scholars hostel, newest hall, moremi, el kanemi, kofo, sodeinde, etc in akoka and OPH, block 1-4 and nursing students hostel in college of medicine. start by telling me the number of hostels CU has and tell me cost of maintenance will be the same. then do the same for classrooms. cos classrooms also get renovated from time to time. now go ahead and do the same for staff quarters (note that new blocks were built for staffs beside health center with TETFUND). there is High rise block A,B,C and several duplexes and hundreds of flats for staffs both within school and outside school (yes unilag operates off campus staff quarters for its staffs under agreement with landlords of big buildings). I stayed in one of such off-campus staff quarters around ekore bus stop in Oworonshoki for years. the compound had 16 flats and it belonged to the popular Woman that owns majork oil and milk and magnet savings and loans. unilag took control of the building for over ten years to house it's staffs since there was shortage of buildings for staffs within the compound. where do you think money for maintenance of all these facilities come from? from that big 2b ![]() |
CodeTemplar:wururu 2b was an estimate I did from info I got from a member of senate committee first hand and higherED has confirmed that's about what the uni gets for infrastructure yearly. the question is do you know the 2b will also include the cost of maintenance of the old structures? CU caters for 15k students like I said earlier. unilag caters for 57k (almost 4x). but you want to enjoy the same quality facilities in unilag with larger population? you think the cost of maintaining class rooms and other infrastructure for 57k students and 15k students will be the same? the 2b might be enough for CU but it's too small for unilag!!! what you are saying is similar to saying since Anambra survives on 4b monthly without owing salaries then Lagos should be able to survive on 4b monthly too with 4x the pop of Anambra. does that make sense to you? |
CodeTemplar:cc higherED this is where I quoted him and told him unilag has never been fortunate to have more than 2b for infrastructure in a single year for both main campus and college of medicine. |
Jaideyone:cc higherED |
CodeTemplar:were you blind where I stated in my post that the money goes into salary? unilag gets less than 2b yearly for infrastructure!!! which includes new buildings and renovation of old ones. he even put the figure lower to 1b. so how's that different from what I said? you ignorantly inferred that unilag should have several billions to spend on infrastructures out of the 11b which a big lie as salaries alone will take more than half of 11b. you are the one with comprehension issues!!! |
HigherEd:read detailed explanation of what I said!!! I said unilag gets max of 2b for capital projects. now you even justified my claims and brought the 2b I said would be the maximum that can be spared for capital projects down to 1b. he was talking as if the whole 11b will go into capital projects. that was the origin of the argument. |
MusicSots:people queue up and he gives each person 5cups of rice and 200/500naira ![]() that's his achievement. just 2broads and a fly over in 4yrs!!! and he's owing 8months salary |
HIGHESTPOPORI:were you in coma when pictures were flying around online? how about pictures of the gbogan flyover from the link I gave you? you can't see that one too? may God heal you |
HIGHESTPOPORI:are you kidding me? have been under a rock? http://thenationonlineng.net/aregbesola-no-govt-built-five-bridges-like-us/ https://www.nairaland.com/4271551/governor-aregbesola-inspects-bisi-akande/ |
blessingsonflee:stop making a fool of yourself. gbaja is one of the top 10 reps in terms of performance right now. he's currently pushing for a bill that will criminalise estimated billing and stop the discos from stealing your money and this is the foolish opinion you can utter just because he has a wayward daughter? every family has black sheep. grow up!!! |
HIGHESTPOPORI:aregbe has commissioned projects fayose can only dream of including several flyovers. how's that for comparison? ![]() |
HIGHESTPOPORI:when ajimobi commissioned a bridge like this wailers like you labelled it a foot bridge cos it's just two lanes on each side. when amosun commissioned 8 standard bridges you were in coma right? what of the ones arrive commissioned in gbogan and other parts of pain state? how about the ones ambidextrous commissioned in Lagos? are those PDP governors? ![]() |
Laka2bor:all those projects I mentioned on the first and second page that fayemi commissioned, are they lies? tell us what fayose has done in four years or shove your lie lie APC card up your as$ ![]() |
CodeTemplar:read this your post, look in a mirror and ask yourself if it makes sense ![]() |
CodeTemplar:you are the fool for still disputing figures that came from the official university website under a document titled "University of Lagos pocket statistics". you want to believe the VCs round figure of 40k but you call me a fool for believing something that seems more like an accurate census figure that said there are 45k undergrads and 12k PG students from the OFFICIAL WEBSITE!!! You must think we all have room temperature IQ like you . knock yourself out i'm leaving the thread for you |
