European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba Vs Torres. Who's The Best? by jalether(m): 4:33pm On Oct 08, 2009 |
The primary role of a striker is to score goals, I don't care abt other attributes here, I have also noticed a trend on here,
(hyping a player based on his reputation, past glory) Drogba was fantastic at marseille and in his best season at chelsea (2006/7),
and that was it, consistency should be the number one criteria for choosing the best striker IMHO, Drogba had one fantastic season 3 yrs ago
and so what, Kevin Phillips once had a fantastic season to for sunderland. |

Moreover my assessment was based on the current situation of both teams, so your argument of what has England one
doesn't hold any water, (2009 season) compare your shitty german squad with England's |

dayokanu: Are you Chris Rock in disguise? Pound for Pound why not Cedi for CFA?
Pound for pound, tell me the last time England played a final. Obama was in diapers the last time they played a final.
What quality players are in England? You mean those media hypes? Answer this simple question, In terms of quality of players (note quality players don't always leave up to expectations) was Greece the best team in euro 2004?. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Bayern Munich Fans by jalether(m): 3:49pm On Oct 08, 2009 |
Pound for pound, the English national team shits on German's,hands down, only two teams in terms of quality of players and squad depth
are on the three lions level, (Brazil, Spain). |

larimo: Though its an old post but I am SHOCKED that no one mentioned Julio Cesar of Inter FC. For me, he is the best! You took it right out of my mouth, Juio cesar shits on any goal keeper in the world right now, and has been for a while Dayo, talking abt bad defence, you need to go bk and watch brazil WC qualifiers n friendlies in the last two yrs b4 they
became a compact team recently, I can not count the number of games where cesar single handedly savaged points for Brazil, there defence and midfield was soo bad it makes real madrid's back four look soo damn good, guys who have been following south America WCQ will know what I'm talking abt |

bawomolo: see this kobe stans trying to hound me.
kobe is not up to vince or t-macs level when it comes to dunking.
t-macs dunk during the all-star game is one of the best ever. If you read my first post carefully, I voted vince as the best dunker ever, so what are you talking abt and as for T mac, he wouldn't get into anyone else's top 5, Irvin, Jordan, Vince, Kobe and dominique all shits on him and talking abt slam dunk contest, go and watch the 2000 slam dunk contest and get bk to me. |

list |

dayokanu: ^^ I knew some Chelsea fans on this forum as well as out of Nairaland who became Inter Fans when Mourinho left Chelsea.
Also some left Chelsea momentarily when Avram Grant and Scolari were coaches only to come back when Guus Hindick was coach .
Those are majority of your fans, fickle minded. Also see a thread about someone decamping to Man Utd from Arsenal.
Can you ever imagine someone decamping from Barca to Madrid? big deal, you owe allegiance only to your country of birth, A nigerian is allowed to support and switch foreign clubs with the speed of light Not everyone can smoke bayern's balls for so damn long the way you do, you know |

debosky: @ tayoccu
I don't mind keeping Silvestre on. . .it's better than some absolutely RIDICULOUS ideas being floated around that we should take Sol Campbell on loan because he wants to train with us to regain fitness.
At least Silvestre has played regular football for us and knows our system. No thanks to some washed up dude who lied to leave the club only to want back in when the Notts rubbish unraveled.
Oddest news I heard is that DD wants Carlo to sign PV4 on loan in January. That would probably be more annoying than him signing for Spurs as earlier mooted.
Absolute rubbish. Like kay pumpin rightly said, I would be at pains to list the catalogue of times Diaby would get the ball and insanely try to dribble 5 opposition players. Talk about taking too many touches on the ball, Diaby is the player most likely to be caught IN POSSESSION for taking too long to decide and release the ball.
Rarely does he run off the ball, except in a few cases like against Portsmouth. He wants to hog the ball and go on mazy runs and rarely if ever does that come off such as against Liege.
If he was such a good off the ball runner he'd be able to scamper back when we're under attack, but again, I can make a youtube compilation of his lazy strolling instead of bursting a lung to help out the defence.
Diaby should be a power player who can intercept and quickly release brainy teammates allowing them to create. He too often thinks he's as good as his other teammates in possession and makes a hash of it by dwelling too long. He will do well to quickly release passes and then move into a position on the edge of the box where he can fire in his powerful shots. In a situation where a player is ridiculously as shit as Diaby then you have to blame the manager for using him game after game that is why I trust managers like Fabio Capello if you are shit, you play your 90 mins on the bench until you come good, simple |

Dr J was great but M.J!! mehn who spends 8secs in the air? They didnt call him his royal Airness for nothing Vince was a monster sha i mean how do you dunk and stick your elbow in a rim
Other notable cats Jason Richardson Josh Smith Lebron James Krypto-Nate James White(if he can get his ass outta the D-League) U dey mind bawo, he started watching nba 2 years ago |

~Sauron~: I nearly broke ma TV screen.
The left back was out there injured prolly didnt want to come off and Siasia did nothing. That area of the pitch is vulnerable and smart wingers would exploit the advantage. It was a gaping hole for the Germans to exploit and they did. Fair play to them. I am begining to think sia sia is a fluke , that was just criminal |
