TravelRe: Being Black In Berlin/germany by James4bright(m): 9:49pm On May 13, 2020
Daniel please, I've got a question. Let's say, I run a very lucrative blog here in Nigeria, and I plan on migrating to Germany as a student. Does that mean I have to give up on the blog or continue my blogging activities to make extra cash as a student?

For some reason, my classmates liked me. I don’t know why. I still had my Nigerian madness and rudeness and I was not afraid to call a b!tch out. Now I’m calmer like a German hahaha.

They always wanted me to sit by them. Even when we had to do group projects, they wanted me in their group. I was not even that smart and I mostly didn’t do anything. When I stopped going to class, everyone noticed, including the professors. That was when it hit me that it’s not good to show yourself. It’s always better to stay low-key.

The cafeteria food was white rice, potatoes, French fries, ketchup, macaroni, potato pie, cake, and some other bland nonsense. The big cafeteria is like a buffet. You walk around and take what you want, then you go to the cashier and pay. They weigh the food and charge you accordingly. You’d usually find a lot of people in the big cafeteria, noise making, eating and taking pictures. There also some small coffee and cake shops.

Just like every University, you’ll find people just hanging around doing big boy and feeling fly. The libraries are quiet. You can log into the computer with your student ID and password given to you by the IT department. You can also check your courses online, register for a class and check your result online. If a class has been postponed, it will be shared online, all on the specific website.
This is the best thing I've read. I love your confidence bro.

Hahaha, it's a pain in the ass sometimes because it's a lot of work, but thank you grin
It's worth it then. Even if I had severe headache, I'd never shave my hair.

As for racism, it doesn't really freak me out, human's are natural assholes. I just don't wanna get shot by a racist, that aspect gives me the creeps.

Just don't allow any white mofo get to you. The black race would always be far better, if only we weren't so poor.

To be honest, I was kind of sceptic about this thread because I get irritated by threads that are not entirely honest about life as a black person in Germany. But honestly, this thread is amazing and in my opinion the most realistic one I've stumbled upon, so thanks janettee.

You can either choose to live in your bubble world and ignore the things said so far or be very realistic. I grew up in Germany and speak the language fluently, better than English and far better than Yoruba. There's nothing about the German culture that I do not understand or is entirely foreign to me, yet I still do experience racism. My youngest brother knows nothing other than Germany and still does experience racism. Black people born here do experience racism. 'Turkish people' who have been here for generations still experience racism.

It's not just integration, in fact assimilate and you will experience racism. You can try to ignore the minor ones, the micro aggressions etc, but what a lot of us experience is structural racism as well, racism in schools, universities, work places, when trying to get an apartment etc.

Therefore you can be that super nice black dude that is so much more different than other blacks, so responsible, never aggressive, doesn't think racism exist, and like Germans will say: 'He's so well integrated, these are the kind of foreigners we want! '. You can be that kind of foreigner, but duuuude, be rest assured you're not wanted here and let the Bundestagswahlen speak for itself, not that one white German, who's assuring you you're 'good enough '
I love your hair damn. Lol

I suck at trends. I had to Google those names just now. Tragic though. I knew of Kobe's death but didn't know what he looked like.

So do you look slightly similar to the late Gianna? That would be nice.

RomanceRe: Men Don't Hide Emotions Bc Of "Toxic Masculinity" They Hide Them Bc No One Cares by James4bright(m): 8:24am On May 10, 2020
I think men lately are getting to emotional. Not trying to make us look bad though. It's an estrogen era.

Our forefathers weren't going through the mental depression a good number of men go through now. They were strong, fierce and independent.

That's why an African American would always be able to deal with the shittiest moment better than this white folks.

Anxiety and depression is a mental illness that comes as a result of lack of serotonin and some times a decline in a man testosterone level. If these men eat healthy, work out often, focus on their careers and read good books then they won't be suicidal.

RomanceRe: Whats The Creepiest Thing You've Seen That You Haven't Shared Anywhere? by James4bright(m): 7:37pm On May 09, 2020
Mine was I was in a dark room with my senior brother, we were a whole lot younger then. And it was just the two of us at home.

So my uncle horned with his car because he needed someone to come out and open the gate for him.

My senior bro left me in the dark room all by myself lying on the bed. I wasn't really bothered, but immediately he left, I could feel someone's hand on the bed trying to touch me, I had to slide to the extreme with so much fright, I was praying asf. But the hand won't just stop hitting the bed. You know that moment when you are lying down, and someone hits the bed and you know someone did, because you could feel it and at the same time hear it.

Then my uncle car drove in and the car light shone through the passage, and the light reflected in my room, now I could see clearly but didn't see anything, I ran out with utmost speed. Though, my mom died early, so I felt maybe there was a connection.

I told my senior bro, he told me I should stop staying in a dark room, I should have left with him. Till date everyone in my family doesn't sleep without flashlight, but me I keep my phone close each time I sleep when there isn't electricity. Not because of that incident though, just an advise my dad always give, because of the experiences he has had, growing up in the east back then, "never sleep without a flashlight".

I've got more tales to tell sha, if you wanna know let me know. Lol

everyday one of your naija brothers open a thread regarding how awful naija women are
so im telling y'all to go for foreign women and leave us alone if we are that bad and stop with the irritating nagging
You think most Nigerian men would gladly choose a Nigerian woman over a foreign woman? Nah.

Just be smart and productive, we are damn tired of the dumb slow-witted Nigerian girls we see everyday, damn. That's why South Africans think our girls are cheap.

Hey, don't come attacking. Why do you think guys lately aren't bothered about getting married? It's most likely just for the sex.

Who really wants a whining unproductive Nigerian woman?

Please can you intricate more on this, especially canada. Can the said amount be enough for the whole process? Are both countries favourable for non graduates? Thanks.
The number of Nigerians who migrate to Canada lately is quite alarming, don't do it, you'd get denied.

Go to Vietnam and teach for the moment, just acquire some English related degrees, you mustn't be a graduate.

Then from Vietnam you could give Canada a shot. Find a country easier to get in for now.

If you try Canada with a Nigerian Visa there is a 70% chance you'd get denied.

My friend you're doing well

There are free agencies for Ireland application, UKEAS, studyacrossglobe. If you're asked to pay, RUN.

If you want to know my own,
They did a great job in counseling me to study my course, opening my eyes to the opportunity in Ireland, the way POF works, hint to pass my IELTS(I had 70%), they still keep in touch with me to know how theyll advise future applicants like theyre doing for others before me. In all, the service is excellent, compared to my previous one.
You took an IELTS exam before migrating to Ireland? Please answer.

What happens if someone doesn't write such an exam?

I'm also in Nigeria and for now my goal is to use the study route to leave the country. I can't give an absolute answer per se but I'm aware some countries give different options like offering you a PR if you're able to invest some certain amount of money in their country (countries like vanatu, and other carribean countries) check out travel blogs and websites they are really helpful. You can also confirm the information you get there on the country's corresponding immigration site to be sure of what you're getting into.
This is helpful.

what you just did is not quit different form what op is talking about.
you acted on your hunting instincts and minutes validation by hiting on her, you approched her watching for approval detail, smiles ,grins etc she showed interested give her phone contact.
she is hooked replay the scene in her mind and hoping to hear form you, only for you to ghost.
lesson:you were only interest in showing your presence and at these stage, the ball lies at your court, if to take the relationship up or not.
I lost interest because I didn't want to be going through things like that. A girl who keeps playing hard to get would eventually get you stressed as time goes on. I just wasn't ready for all that. She can find someone else to toil with, I'm not ready for all that.
