Israeli air attacks kill 10 in southern Lebanon Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reports that an Israeli air attack on the town of Kfar Sir in the Nabatieh district has killed four people, including a paramedic, and injured four. Another Israeli attack on the town of Zefta, also in the Nabatieh district, killed three people, including a member of the Lebanese Civil Defence, and wounded two. A third Israeli attack on the town of Toul, also in Nabatieh, killed three people and injured three. |
Israeli forces continued campaign of raids across the occupied West Bank overnight Israeli troops closed the checkpoint in the town of az-Zawiya west of Salfit city late on Friday, hampering the movement of local people, and searched several homes, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reports. Other incidents involving Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank included: A 21-year-old Palestinian man was shot and injured by rubber bullets fired by Israeli forces in the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah. Three Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces: one in a raid on the Arroub refugee camp, and a father and son were detained after being set upon by Israeli settlers in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, Wafa reports. Israeli forces fired live ammunition and detonated sound bombs and deployed gas in the raid on Arroub camp, while settlers attacked the father and his son – both shepherds – who were then arrested by Israeli forces, according to the news agency. The settlers also carried out several attacks on Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta, according to the report, including destroying crops and releasing livestock, under the protection of Israeli armed forces in the area. |
