Trump claims Iran ‘LOSING BIG’ in new social media post
The US president has taken to social media to address the conflict with Iran, even as his top negotiators – including Vice President JD Vance – are in Pakistan for peace talks with Iranian officials.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump pushed back on what he described as a media narrative portraying Iran as gaining the upper hand.

“In fact, everyone knows that they are LOSING, and LOSING BIG!” Trump wrote, claiming Iran no longer has a navy, air force or anti-aircraft apparatus.

“Most importantly, their longtime ‘Leaders’ are no longer with us,” said Trump, before adding “praise be to Allah!” in an apparently sarcastic post.

Three Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces: one in a raid on the Arroub refugee camp, and a father and son were detained after being set upon by Israeli settlers in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, Wafa reports.

Israeli forces fired live ammunition and detonated sound bombs and deployed gas in the raid on Arroub camp, while settlers attacked the father and his son – both shepherds – who were then arrested by Israeli forces, according to the news agency.

Pope urges dialogue, coexistence before talks in Pakistan
Pope Leo XIV, in a string of posts on X today, commented on the situation in the Middle East as a delicate ceasefire has halted fighting in advance of talks.

“Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East,” he said.

“No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.

“Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs.”

Military action, he added, will not “create space for freedom or times of peace” and he called for dialogue and coexistence.
