ASUU, fight for your rights. Even the drop outs insulting you know that govt is owing you earned allowance for years, and they get to drop a little only when you go on strike. Pending the payment of all your owed earned allowance, limit the size of your classes and contact periods to what your regulation stipulate. Govt set you up to go on strike and ignored you for months while on strike. Pending the release of your full with held salaries, suspend all work relating to that session.

Now students will understand why ASUU has been fighting for their academics. Reduced school fees, enhanced study environment and good renumerations has been the major reasons that ASUU has been fighting for. Now this devilish APC government has told ASUU that the only way for them to give academic staff good renumerations and enhanced education is by increasing the school fees. With the collapse of the last strike, it's going to be terrible for students. Your school fees are going to the moon now. The truth is that the directive is coming from minister of education approved by president Buhari. So the VCs are incapacitated hence must carry out the directives.
With the IPPIS issues, the university autonomy is gone. I will suggest that the students should take their anger to ministry of education and aso rock.

This is just the beginning and it will go round. But for ASUU, this would have happened a long time. Students teamed up with govt to ridicule their lecturers not knowing govt was testing their strength.

Does possession of 'papers' confer ownership and right to deal with a property? I don't think so. If you aren't listed as owner or co-owner, I doubt you will find it much useful. Same way, if you're listed on it but it isn't in your possession, you can still cause an action to determine what the possessor can do with it. Lawyers should pls correct me if I'm wrong.

With the appeal court ruling, the consensus among members is to resume without teaching and wait for proscription of the union. After that, a mass sack of all the members. And that is where the government reaches a dead end. Or do you fancy in your childish brain that you can hire about 30000 academics (with about a third of them professors) as you do political thugs? Well, let me point you to history. Gowon and Babangida tried exactly this and failed. I have decided not to talk about the well-advertised merits of ASUU’s struggle because you sound utterly ineducable, but let this resonate in your brain pan if it’s still of any use: ASUU is on a national assignment to save the tertiary education sector from an anti-intellectual president.

A government that refuses to succumb to pressures by strikes, refuses to obey the agreement they signed to, refuses to be pressured by election campaigns, that government will now be benevolent to ASUU members when ASUU members forcefully resume from the strike by obeying court order?

The Nigerian government is just making things more difficult for Nigeria and creating a generational intellectual gap.

Registering new academic unions won't work, it's just a tactic to pressure ASUU the more. You think this government is more tyrannical than Abacha's?

Many are in denial. They are either ignorant, or saboteurs or self serving. Any member of that association that came through the backdoor will forever live in shame. I travelled recently and I met two academics on board relocating. Aside pay review, which was last done over thirteen years ago, no other request will go to any lecturer's pocket. Do we not know that truly they have no tools to teach with? We deserve the government we have.

So those on the list, including education minister are all place holders. It's ok.

Money, Greed, Corruption seem to be in PDP's DNA. That's what will cause their defeat. If they had followed prior agreement and fielded Obi, they would have likely won. Obi presidency may have had more broad national support in PDP & APC return would have been tougher.

Challenges do come. See it as one to be overcome. With discipline and determination, you will overcome. For employees, strive to start a venture while still in employment, and work on yourself such that you can fit into more than one job type. No job is forever.

I'll pick only one item, earned allowance. Lecturers are owed the peanuts earned allowance for years. The only times they got paid some amount was when they went on strike. Now they went on strike and it took over three months before government agreed to talks. Now we are saying they should not be paid for the strike forced on them. Truly we deserve the government we have.

In my opinion, these people are not helping Obi's matter. Reminds me of when someone sponsored Buhari's obituary on a newspaper back then. And then the ridiculous Jibrin of Sudan story. See all the abusive videos going round from the same set of people. I hardly see abusive videos from the camp that is most targeted. Is it that they don't have people who are IT savvy and can create abusive videos? I don't think so. They appear to me more focused on their mission. Obedients should have a re-think and not scare away those who believe that an Obi presidency has great potentials to unite the country.

Stay strong dear and be determined to overcome it. There are several stories of survivors. The diagnosis isn't coming too late. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
