Troubles and turbulent times are bound to come in life, in fact they have been proven to be instrumental to our success and breakthrough in life. The reason most people never achieve their dreams in life is because they simply give up. Just as Confucius once said; “Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall". Life was never meant to be easy. Life itself is a constant struggle, with extreme low and extreme high moments. In the words of Thomas Edison, he said; “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Don't give up on LIFE yet!! There is no doubt that things could get really hard and life might get a little complex, messed up, frustrating and complicated at times, but that is not an enough reason for you to give up on life. Before you think of giving up on life always remember that your situation is far better than that of somebody somewhere and some people were once in the exact situation you are in right now, yet they scaled through it. Always remember that there is a reason why you were created and you were created to make a positive impact in life. If indeed you are created to make a positive impact in life, why then would you want to give up on life? You are born with a definite mandate to register your footprint in the sands of time. Go for it, you are the best of your kind. Don't give up on that CAREER-PATH yet!! Have you ever wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, journalist or an engineer? And as time progresses you begin to wonder why you choose that career-path or if that dream could really be actualized? As humans, sometimes this discouraging thought comes but one thing you ought to know is that; a winner is someone who gets up one more time than he is knocked down. Yes! that career-path might look hard and tedious to accomplish but with little persistence and hard work nothing is impossible. Never give up on what you really want to be in life, because the person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts in the world. Don't give up on that RELATIONSHIP yet!! Yes that relationship could be troubling and turbulent right now. Everything in the relationship might seem to be the opposite of what you anticipated and dreamt of, but why don't you give it a little chance and a little time before giving up. The truth is that we don't develop our relationships by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity. Nothing in life is perfect not even our relationships. A little patience and understanding could give you that near perfection you seek. Don't give up on that TALENT yet!! There are many of us who are immensely talented in either dancing, singer, writing, drawing etc, who are at the verge of giving up on that God given talent of ours. We might in one way or the other got dejected and frustrated probably due to ridicules from friends and family or probably because our talent (s) has not started to pay off as we planned. But before you think of giving up, why not exercise a little patience. In life it does not matter how slow your progress comes just do not stop striving to move forward because difficult things in life might take a long time and impossible things a little longer. Just as it is often said; "it is the last key in the bunch that opens the lock". Keep striving, don’t give up yet. There is no limit to what you can accomplish. Just as Dale Carnegie once said; “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” Never give up!! Winners never quit, and quitters never win. Written By: Divinelove Udorji http://divineloveudorji..in/2016/12/before-you-think-of-giving-up-please.html |

•President Aruna Kadiri Reiterates Position On NANS Awards, Says Will Be Issued Once In A Year By: Divinelove Udorji The President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Aruna Kadiri has reiterated his position on NANS awards, as the award which is issued by the apex student body to only well deserving individuals who have made tremendous impacts on youths, students and the society at large had in the past years lost it salt. Comrade Kadiri who decried the way and manner at which the awards had been politicized in the past and issued to undeserving individuals gave the assurance of bringing back the sanity and prestige of NANS award. Findings had revealed that NANS award which was once an award held in the highest esteem and issued to only well deserving individuals in the society but unfortunately in previous years it was allowed to erode as NANS awards became politicized. In fact, some leadership of the association in the past had even resulted to exchanging the award for money and gifts, thereby denigrating the prestigious award to the bin. However while speaking to this reporter, Comrade Kadiri revealed that NANS award under his administration would take a totally new dimension. “NANS under me have stopped giving awards in bits. We are arranging it in a way that it will have the value and recognition that it deserves. We will pencil down their names and prior to the day it will be aired and will be on national dailies,” he said. “It will be once in a year where it will be nationally done. The question now is what has been his/her contribution to the development of NANS, youths and students,” Kadiri added. President Kadiri who has distinguished himself as NANS redeemer and who is poised at restoring the association' lost glory and integrity as the association is meant to serve as the voice of the voiceless on campus, regional and national matters and devoid of external control, further added that; “it's not all about the money, integrity matters more to me”. •Divinelove Udorji, is a Mass Communication student of Nasarawa State University, Keffi

Today the Nigerian music scene is saturated by too many upcoming artistes, some of them with good and quality songs, yet they are still upcoming artistes and you are forced to wonder why they have remained up coming artistes. It is true that success comes from God alone, but the inevitable fact remains that sometimes the reason why our success or breakthrough is not forthcoming is as a result of our faults and could be attributed to our mistakes and inefficiencies. Here are eight ( reasons why most music artistes remain upcoming.1. Imaginary Record Labels:- This is one factor that can hamper the tendencies of an upcoming artiste to break into the larger music industry. Often times you see upcoming artistes flaunting record labels which in the real life do not exist. This goes along way in scaring potential record label owners and managers away from you, as they feel you already belong to a record label and might be binded by a contract, whereas you don't belong anywhere, the record label you are flaunting is only a name you coined so as to make yourself look like a professional artiste. 2.Vulgar Lyrics:- Not everyone has the luck of Lil Kesh, Olamide et al. Don't build your music on vulgar lyrics. Learn to start-up with lyrics that are meaningful and people can relate with. 3. No Definite Genre Of Music:- Today you are singing RnB, tomorrow its Hip Hop. Bros you are not a choir master, please pick one already. Yes we know that too many Nigerian A-List artistes don't have a particular genre, too many of them sing as the 'spirit' leads. But then as an upcoming artistes you need to define your kind of music cos that is how and what people would identify you with. 4. Show Off 'Invisible' Wealth:- Don't be busy showing off wealth when in real life you can't afford to shoot a standard music video, when you even have to borrow money for your studio sessions. With your excessive display of wealth potential record labels might find you difficult woo, as they already have the impression that you live in affluence and might be expensive for them to manage. We know showing off 'invisible' wealth is part of the 'profession' but as an upcoming artiste learn to minimise it, at least till that time when you don hammer small. 5 Pride:- Hmm! This is one word that is synonymous to entertainers. As an upcoming artistes learn to keep your head down. Respect whoever you come across for you don't know who would be instrumental in aiding your music career. 6. Turning Down Shows Indiscriminately:- For christ sake! At this stage in your musical career you need to perform at all the available shows, events and parties you can. You need to project yourself as much as you can regardless of how unimportant you think the show might be, if you can perform please do. As an upcoming artiste, you need adequate exposure and the best way to get it is by performing at shows. Listen to the testimonies of music stars and you would realise that in their upcoming days they had to perform at shows, sometimes for free. 7. High Performance Fee:- Yes it is nice to attach a price tag, but make it a reasonable one. Imagine where an upcoming artiste charges you an exorbitant price just to perform at your event! Haba! When you no be Wizkid! Learn to make your price reasonable and affordable. 8. Poor Music Promotion:- This is another factor that hampers the success of upcoming artistes. It an indisputable fact that you must use money to make more money. As an upcoming artiste you need to be ready to invest in promoting your song. Don't limit your song to your immediate environment alone. Strive to spread your song outside your immediate environment. If it means paying to promote your song, please do it, at the long run you will definitely reap the fruit of your labour. 9. Please add yours Written by: Divin3Luv of D.U.Blog |

A woman born with a rare condition which stopped her jawbones growing properly has had her life transformed by pioneering surgery. Ellie Jones from Wales was born with the facial deformity condition meaning her teeth were not aligned. When the Rhyl woman went to have her braces fitted to straighten her teeth, aged 14, consultant orthodontist Joy Hickman realized her jaw had not grown since she was eight-years-old. Over the next six years Miss Hickman worked with consultant maxillofacial surgeon Emma Woolley at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd to transform Ellie’s looks and her whole life’s outlook. She underwent her first operation at the age of 16 and Ellie, who is now 20, said: “It was really painful, but had to be done to sort the problem. “I was on a liquid diet for about a month, which was really hard, and I couldn’t talk properly – I had to use a notepad to communicate. “After a while I was able to mumble a few words, and had a lisp for a while due to how swollen my mouth was.” The surgery paid almost immediate dividends: “About six months after it was my Year 11 prom and it looked good.” Her jaws were cut horizontally and vertically, then a year later she endured more corrective surgery on her chin, which was also misshapen: “I’d always felt like my chin was too small, so the second procedure, which was optional, made another big difference. “I mostly just felt relieved – I finally felt like I could be myself.” http://divineloveudorji..in/2016/07/see-amazing-facial-surgery.html
