Politics / Catch And Kill Story Of Chinenye Ezewuzie by jara: 2:01am On Apr 02, 2023
There was a drug mule story of Chinenye Ezewuzie probably still detained in Asia. The link was with a prominent Newspaper.

During the Election, the link disappeared. The irony is that the link and story of Tinubu bargain to avoid jail or conviction remains.

Guess who are the people using it against him, Peter Obi who Chinenye Ezewuzie accused.

How could we have been so unlucky or purposely support Tinubu, Obi and Atiku?

We always blame our leaders.
Politics / If The Yoruba Do Not Know Where They Are Going by jara: 9:35pm On Apr 01, 2023
Yoruba have a history like most people but unlike most people, they have a strong and proud background of where they are coming.

It hurts their present and future generations to be mired in this present situation because of the curse of oil money.
Politics / The Most Peaceful Way To Assert Rights And Ownership by jara: 12:27am On Mar 25, 2023
The ugly scenes of xenophobia in South Africa against other Africans still leaves a bitter taste. The closer Africans are to one another, especially along the borders, the fiercer the attacks.

The killing in the Northern Nigeria in the 60s resulted in the massacre of innocent average people. There are better ways than violence on a wide scale to achieve your points.

The Yoruba of Western Nigeria fought one of the worst ethnic (tribal) wars against one another. Luckily, they learned from the bitterness. They reoriented themselves as Omoluabi and Afenifere.

In the face of provocation by outsiders, they have demonstrated their resolve. So, they repelled their own son Banjo fighting for Biafra against his fatherland and put a curse on him. Banjo ran back to Biafra where his senders actualized the curse placed on him by labelling him a traitor deserving the firing squad.

History will vindicate the civilized ways of Yoruba of putting usurpers of their ancient civilization, Rights and land ownerships in check without bloodshed; compared to South Africa and Northern Nigeria.

Must be proud to be descendants of this ancient civilization.
Politics / Re: An Apology To The Igbo People Of Nigeria by jara: 2:43pm On Mar 21, 2023
It is a pity that a very young man like Seun has not learned from history.

Igbo have now elevated him beyond his dreams. When Awolowo gave Igbo 20 pounds, there were fierce accusations that he was trying to buy Igbo votes for the next election.

Why give only Igbo 20 pounds when other Nigerians were also victims. From Midwest to Rivers. 20 pounds at that time was more than what School Cert or HSC holders made in a month.

You could rent a room for 5 pounds in good locations and two pounds ten in Surulere or less in Mushin. New arrivals in Lagos only come with a shirt on their back before their relatives and friends told them to get out and find a job the following day.

Today, 20 pounds has been turned into a curse of 20 naira. Awo, see your life?

Seun, next time keep quiet!

Politics / Election Took Place In 36 States Not Just LAGOS by jara: 2:23pm On Mar 21, 2023
The way people are talking about Election in Lagos, outsiders would think Lagos is a country. No, Lagos has been turned to the biggest Prize to capture.

Lagos people of Nigeria gave the fairest votes in Presidential and Gubernatorial elections, yet some People of Nigeria want the Election to go their way only. Otherwise, Lagosians are not fair, tribalistic, racist etc.

Ask the same people how they voted in their own states.

Until we STOP projecting our worst characters on others, everyone must go back home.

Ask the American Indians if they have to do it all over, if they will rescue Columbus from the sea.

If you want to get along with others, show it and demonstrate it in your character.

Politics / Re: Abuja Is A No Man’s Land by jara: 3:05pm On Mar 20, 2023
This article in support of Gbagyi, the owner of Abuja, was published years ago when El Rufai was in charge of Abuja.

The early settlers were the Gbagyi, Bassa, Gade, Gwadara, Koro, Ganagana, Beriberi and others. Before the ambulance chasers or lawyers start running around taking briefs as in Lagos land cases in court, one would think that our Government would anticipate trouble down the road and pre-empt any claim of injustice. Our attitude has always been to cross the river when we get there. Land is very important, not only in Nigeria but every where.

Politics / Abuja Is A No Man’s Land by jara: 1:41am On Mar 20, 2023
Abuja Is A No Man’s Land

When Abuja was being planned, it was indicated that they were looking for a neutral place, unlike Lagos or Calabar that already belonged to ethnic groups. Every Nigerian would be welcomed and there would be no domination of one group by the other. Some were wondering if a virgin place still existed in Nigeria that can be called a no man’s land as we want. We did not know that they were going to displace some natives who would be glad to move from mud huts to Government reservations or slums.

Many Nigerians who have been paying attention to the allocation of land in Abuja heard about politicians making more than one allocation to one another in the Obasanjo era. We may have to wait and see what is being allocated in Yar’Adua’s time. Babangida was the first head of State to move to Abuja, so some of the allocation started before that time.

Buried in the allocation of land to the high and the mighty is the slum surrounding Abuja. Slowly but surely, we are going to hear more of it when it erupts in the face of politicians.

We have heard about squatters that are trying to deface Abuja and the swift action of the planners who destroy the eyesore near their beautiful properties. We can’t blame them, it will lower the value of their properties and brings hoodlums too close for comfort.

Has anyone heard about how much allocation were made to others, less prominent than late Senator Kuta son of mud hut settlers? If Nigeria has anything to learn from our past, it is that one day, the educated son and daughters will demand their share of the land owned by the forefathers. We all know that Abuja itself was created like Israel by cutting space out of existing states. But I am not sure that we are doing everything to make sure some of these prime land allocations are extended to many sons and daughters of its soil.

Anyone familiar with Ikoyi and Victoria Island in Lagos of those days compare to what they are now may sympathize with them. In those days Ikoyi was designated as special Government Reservation Area for colonial civil servants and some crony Africans. But for the guts of Adelabu Adegoke who disturb their peace with gongon drummers waking him up in the morning, no crony reminded colonial masters that they do not belong. The people of Lagos are now trying to reclaim Ikoyi since it is no more an eminent domain.

Most Nigerians could have thought that politicians sliced Abuja cake amongst themselves until El Rufai then came out with a bombshell that Igbo got more allocation than others. Yeah, sure, fool us again my brother. May be they split the size of a football field into hundred pieces. The fact is the politicians from North and South took care of themselves as the probe has revealed. Believe me, there are more allocations going on right now.

We have to be careful so that these politicians do not knock our heads together as usual. When the Gbagyi owners who are the majority in Abuja come knocking for more share of their land, who are they going to go after? They should go for the throats of the politicians who are having field moments allocating to relatives. We can not rely on those potatoes allocations to different ethnic groups when the real juicy and meaty allocations go to who and who all over Nigeria. Why they were trying to divert attention away from themselves to different ethnic groups could possibly be to evade the wrath of the owners when their anger reaches a boiling point as Gbagyi were also displaced for Shiroro Dam.

In fairness to the Government, some of us working at the Federal Secretariat in the 80s were offered flat allocations as incentive to move to Abuja. Some did and some never left Lagos. Looking at what Abuja has now become, on 20/20 insight, it may have been a mistake. However, a few of us still have not regretted it. Moreover, as you get older, you just want to stay put in a familiar place.

Today, Abuja has become one of the most expensive cities in the world. Without rental income, it would be unaffordable for poor original settlers to even think about living there. If there is anything to learn from Jos Plateau area, Niger Delta area, Ife area and now Ajah in Lagos, families do not disappear into the thin air, whatever their past claim to the land .We do not have to wait until feud raises its ugly head to get a fire fighter.

Of course we already have fire all over the place and our hands are full. One will think that with a population of 140 million, we can busily engage our too many idle politicians and civil servants. Oh, they are doing their best destroying slums springing up around Abuja. We understand why we have slums around major cities around the world. These slums and Nyanya labor camp should also be called service centers, without which the major cities may not survive. That is where all the cheap laborers come from.

The cost of reaching the affluent areas if the laborers have to move far away to their jobs will eat all their pay. These are not wealthy suburban driving to the cities or taking luxury buses or go-trains. Even the wealthy ones are now groaning under the cost of traveling or the amount of petrol to fill their cars and generators.

There is something more dangerous about Abuja though; the slums surrounding it are occupied not only by other Nigerians but by Gbagyi, Bassa, Gade, Gwadara, Ganagana, Koro and Beriberi owners of the center. The amount of money sunk into Abuja, the billions of naira and dollars flowing in the City of milk and honey have not spread to these slums. That is what Nigerians call suffer-head in the midst of plenty.

Here we are asking the Government to divert more additional oil money to rebuild Niger Delta, this bobo is preaching for dormant slum militants around Abuja. Chinekeme!

A fool and his money will part if he can’t walk and chew gum. How a man manages his family, business, and environment determines how money is used to manage a country. A man on government training all his life, who has stolen all his life, or sucked others dry, will not suddenly become a skilful manager. He will display deliberate indifference.

Sometimes you want a reasonable discussion with Igbo friends on subjects that are clear like night and day.

Their main rational are: willing to take fatal risks since others are cowards, jealousy, money, ordained by God to rule, doing well better than any Black overseas and "merit".

They can be great friends until you discover what their parents told them. If you already know their rational, why argue with them?
Politics / Bolanle Olukanni Are You Alright by jara: 5:30pm On Mar 19, 2023
This Bolanle Olukanni is so naive, she is still living in the Euphoria of when Yoruba parents schooled their children in providing and attending to strangers within them. Shine shine your eyes. Those days are gone.

Indeed your very existence is under threats from the North and your own South. It is even easier for the Igbo because Yoruba took them in as brothers and sisters while all the while their Igbo parents imbued suspicion in their children, never to trust Yoruba because Awolowo did not allow Zik to become Premier in the West.

Yet, all the honest Igbo old Millionaires and Billionaires made it from Yorubaland from Pa Ojukwu. All their old politicians like Zik, were mentored by Herbert Macaulay, a Yoruba.

It should not be surprising that out of this Euphoria like that of naive Bolanle Olukanni, the Yoruba Youths voted for Obi against Tinubu, a man of soiled character no honest Yoruba love. But are willing to tolerate out of fear of greater frienemy.

Igbo exploited these naive children with their "sophisticators, accommodatetors" and so called civilized ways of embracing them.

When Igbo wrestle and become existential threat, you better fight back. Igbo have no better benefactors outside Yorubaland in the whole wide world.

They will grab onto the likes of Bolanle Olukanni but these are uninformed children breeding house mice for bush rats.

Point to any place in the whole wide world that is more accommodating, toleranting and comfortable for any world citizen than EKO-ILE.

Go back home and ask your clannish people that only voted their own when the rest of Nigeria voted for all parties.

If they don't vote for you, others are racist. Even within you, you hate one another. Ask Anambra civil servants that were thrown out by Gov. Peter Obi.

Bianca Ojukwu was rejected for office because she didn't belong. Mrs Akeredolu, Igbo woman rejected at home because she married Yoruba.

Onyeka Owenu rejected as candidate for office in her home town because she married Yoruba.

The most clannish people on Earth foraging other places to dominate as a god given right.

This is a country where Africans are afraid to come out in the day because they lack legal papers.

One guy from Cameroon was asked if it was worth it. He said war is ravaging his country. Pitiful.

Yet, some rogue is posting pictures to lure other Africans there. He will soon open office as agent for slave traders.

Politics / Congratulate Kwankwaso & Obi For Returning Power To The South by jara: 4:28pm On Mar 05, 2023
CONGRATULATE KWANKWASO Kwankwaso & OBI FOR RETURNING POWER TO THE SOUTH

What is clear in this Election is the utmost impunity of the selfish interest groups claiming to be acting as the representatives or leader of the people they have failed woefully! Presidency is back to the South. This writer predicted that by hook or crook, Atiku would be installed as President by the Oligarchy that had always chosen the leaders. If Atiku had won, hell would then break out making it easier to split the country into Regions.

Even the few members of the Northern Oligarchy that were using Fulani grassroots to buttress their bases have been rejected. They intentionally created unrest, chaos, terrors and religious intolerance to advance their greedy, voracious and selfish interests. But for Kwankwaso mobilization of the Talikawa in the North to reject the impunity of the Oligarchy whose nod is enough to dictate who leads Nigeria, Atiku could have cruised to victory
.

Peter Obi clannish supporters were the icing on the cake. The fact is, all the stars lined up in favor of Tinubu despite his rejection by those who know him best in Osun and Lagos. No Southern leader would rock the boat and table restructuring to satisfy the yearnings in the South. Tinubu became a bystander watching Kwankwaso, Atiku and Obi go at one another. They took his base away from him in Lagos and Osun States. After tearing up one another's guts, Tinubu walked unscathed with enough votes from the North and South of the country.

It was their people and my people that begged them to run for office or leadership. My and their people from the village that know them best have spoken. The mighty and the famous that turned the richest country in Africa into the poverty capital of the world have fallen. Think and study how their people from home that know them best have expressed their votes of no confidence in their leaders.

If they are not trusted at home, how can you trust them outside? Starting from the Head: President Buhari could not deliver his home State to his Party. The President Elect could not deliver his adopted State and State of origin to his Party. There is something wrong here that we are not taking advantage of. Create a better country or break it up if we are all tired of it, except of course, the Unity Beggars.

We see how easy it was to become Unity Beggars. Promise, prospect of getting part of the National Cake or becoming President is all it takes. Those shouting that they would die for Nigeria have been silent lately because they are no longer in power. The ones in power are so old, they want to die there in one political capacity or another.

Does it mean that the country will remain one since Power has returned to the South? The Unity Beggars from the South will go on demanding their nations just as most Nigerians want to go their separate ways. Even those who cannot live without Nigeria refuse to go back home and make their states more economically viable to settle into in order to attract Africans to their homes. They would rather than Go West Young Man Go West.

But give the devil his dues. Ganduje and Tinubu exposed the fault line between the Talikawa and the Oligarchy. No matter our reservation or disdain for one of the worst crooks of all time in Nigeria, we must learn how to discourage tolerance for flawed and revolting characters.

The problem of Tinubu as a flawed character started even before he became a Senator. He later convinced Pa Dawudo and Adeniran Ogunsanya that Funso Williams was not a member of NADECO in order to replace him as AD gubernatorial candidate in Lagos. When Funso tried to contest under another Party, he smelt defeat and eliminated Funso Williams.

Such a shady personality that would drive a hot shift through his mother's ass should never have been Yoruba leader. He will throw a stone from Aso Rock like Obasanjo into the Market that would hit the members of his “families”. Yoruba say "won ni kima to s'ala" was told not to pee in the corridor. He did without consequences. He is going to mess up the living room. Ask his childhood friends from his state of origin in Osun like Aregbesola. Yoruba must be warned because a flawed battery would not make the distance.

People speculating on why the Youths voted against Tinubu in Lagos forgot the massacre at ENDSARS Protest. A judicial panel of inquiry was set up by the Lagos State government that found out Soldiers invaded the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020 shot, injured and killed unarmed protesters, without provocation or justification. Yet, Lagos State under the firm grip of Bola Tinubu insisted that no lives were lost. It is one of the ways the Youths paid back, with their united votes in Lagos 2023 Presidential Election.

The silver lining in Tinubu's victory is that his base in Osun, his adopted home State in Lagos and most Yoruba know about his unsavory character. But given the choice between their son and other leading Presidential candidates that sought equity with unclean hands, they prefer their own. After all, you fight fire with fire. They would not accept his character at home. As long as his competitors are far away in Abuja, they could sort out themselves outside Eko-Ile.

We have a country where the morals we grew up with have gone under the drain. Each of the soiled three leading Presidential candidates comes from our individual families, not from space. There used to be a time when our greatest fear was anyone reporting us at home. Well, no more. Since parents do not know or care about what their sons and daughters do for a living. As long as they bring money home. If you report them to their parents, one of them would ask: sey nah your money he steal?

Then, they got into politics and you expect them to be clean, come on! Most of them believe the government's money is Nobody's money but theirs. Only God knows how long it will take to clean up the immorality of the previous American President, emulated as a hero by authoritarian rulers around the world.

Stop scaring us with the Abuja bandwagon effect in Lagos. How many Nigerian Presidents have done anything of benefit for their people or a country that went from the richest in Africa to the Poverty Capital of the world? There are three Gubernatorial candidates in Lagos. Decide on one without blemish. Show me your company and admirers. I will show you who you are and your next steps

The hate sadly, was and is being passed from parents that have benefited from Yoruba generosity, kindness and liberal attitude to new comers into Yoruba land in those days.

What is surprising is that the new generation that have encountered the vicious hate Igbo parents would not dare display, for fear of losing survival outside home, are the generation persuaded to vote for Igbo.

Well, Lagos is within their reach as they believe.

The bloody character of Tinubu has not helped. Yoruba lost their moral compass in the process.

Culture / African Men Are The Victims Of Monogamy by jara: 1:30pm On Feb 06, 2023
Along the way, something changed. Before many relationships with different women called serial monogamy from foreign land gained ground, African traditional marriage expected that younger women would take care of men as they got older. It gave the older wife a break as she got older too as they were taken care of by their older children. No matter what, children have always been closer to their mother though most men may not accept the fact.

This whole idea of polygamy or polyandry depends on the ratio of men and women in the society. Most jealous people want a man or a woman for themselves but that is not reality, even in the society where polygamy or monogamy is legal. So jealousy, grudge and payback are consequences that cannot be ruled out against one another when one has the upper hand. Using past transgressions to get back at an opportune time is not an excuse.

Again, I do not see any disagreement here.

Of course, in our society, sons are the main care takers. The fact that daughters also care about the plight of the fathers indicates that the situation is dire.

KanwuliaExtra:

Please, stop making it a case for husbands and fathers vs daughters. Husband and fathers also have sons too. Why can't the sons take care of their fathers? Who is taking care of the wives and daughters? I know many women who are living alone without the helps of any man or child.

I was going to quote a paragraph from the writer until I read what you wrote until the end. I must have missed it at first glance.

I see no difference between your points and that of the writer.

But let us thank God that some daughters are championing the rescue of unfortunate fathers and husbands.

KanwuliaExtra:

Is this fact or pure fiction?
Why daughters only and not children in general? undecided

FYI. . . .No trying father or husband is villified by his wife and children unless he was/is a MUNGO PARK!
If you neglect your family when you think you have all the aces in a relationship and treat them without love and respect, what is to be expected?

I have a family friend whose wife abandoned him with their young children and he cared for them till they were grown. The son was 7 years and the daughter was ONLY EIGHT MONTHS OLD. The children still went to live with their mom after he did all he could for them. Reason. . . they did not like their dad's highly disciplined approach to life. He is Nigerian and his wife is Black American. Their mother allowed them a more free hand and they could do drugs with her as 'buddies'.

The man has re-married and adopted a baby girl with his new Nigerian wife(his FOURTH MARRIAGE!). . . . He has tried everything to love and care for his children, but they are selfish and only come around when they want money. He has built a block of 6 flats in Nigeria and has a very healthy retirement portfolio here in the US after working over 35 years at his job. . . and is still working! He has less than 5 years to retirement.

The matter is not as simple as you make it to be.

But I agree. . . . Men should make sure they put aside some retirement benefits to fall back on. However, they would still need a designated family member to take charge of such affair when estranged from their own families for various reasons.

Young guys need to set aside something for their old age. Could be just to buy a plot of land or more and keep for 30yrs.

Then sell off when you are retired.

I agree. But do not sell off the land. Cash has no value in time. Build anything, even boys quarters on it and rent it out or live there when your family home becomes intolerable.
Family / Dear Trying Fathers & Husbands by jara: 12:55am On Feb 05, 2023
DEAR TRYING FATHERS & HUSBANDS

When did it come to this? Women have always been the backbone of the families for being the better managers. Before getting into the sack, they size up their men to make sure he has prospects to discharge his part of the responsibility of taking care of the family. In a polygamous family, which is the typical marriage in most parts of the world. Whatever the case, women remain the better organizers in most societies.

There used to be a time when children that have grown into adulthood thanked their father for being a disciplinarian. It has now changed to abuse. But for the stern discipline of our fathers, many of us could have fallen by the wayside. Most of us remember when the children of the poor with high moral character used to work harder and succeed more in life while the children of the rich, without discipline turned into spoiled brats.

Some daughters, looking at the dire situation of their poor fathers in their old age, are coming out to warn men to save some of their savings for their old age instead of spending everything on families that would ignore them in time of need. The irony of the advice is that the same advice was given to women in those days. Just in case mothers lose their husbands to some unforeseen circumstances!

The spite against fathers and husbands, if not addressed as some daughters are doing, would break whatever remains of the African culture most of us still cherish. There was a time when mothers said they tolerated some slights from their husbands only because they wanted their children to grow up with a man at home. Well, the children are grown now and the mothers are free to fly off like birds, stay or pay their husbands back in kind.

Monogamy creates the problem of expecting children that have always been closer to the mother to also take care of the father instead of the younger wife; according to traditional marriage. Where children also have the responsibility of taking care of their own families, it becomes a daunting task without government social services. Many of the children cannot physically or financially provide the support both parents need, so they naturally concentrate more on their immediate family and mothers.

Other grown children that have the means to take care of both parents may resent the divided attention their father had given to their siblings, his job, other women or other interests while their mothers concentrated on family. This may be misunderstood or even misinterpreted as indifference on the part of their father but certainly not deliberate indifference some make it to be as justification for the neglect of their fathers or husbands today.

Most fathers are trying to be good providers working very hard to provide for their families. But we all know that whoever you are, your best is never enough for some, just as you cannot possibly please everyone. There are children and mothers out there who wished they could get the care provided by your father. It might be the case of a new graduate who held a grudge because his father gave him a beetle Volks after graduation while some friends got Mercedes-Benz cars!

There is hardly a reason to neglect your father in his old age after spending the time and money he could afford on you. Sibling jealousy, discipline and grudge are no excuse. We cannot blame the possessive nature of some mothers to keep their children to themselves, it is up to older children to understand and be even-handed. Most children understand what their parents went through as they get older and start their own families.

Fathers used to work in the mines and got days off once a month or so, which prevented their daily presence at home. We do not resent them for that. The fear we had for fathers whether they were home or not, helped our mothers contain wayward behaviors. The house without a father figure, even as a relative, produced rascals. This was the reason mothers always threaten children with their fathers. It is difficult for a parent to raise, even one child alone.

There is something wrong in the Western world when white women that would hardly dare call the Police for their white husbands encourage others to do so. The same is true with Asian men and women. Yet, there are worse abuses going on in Europe and Asia. However, Black women outside Africa are quick to call the Police on Black men for anything that could have been settled between them or by extended families in Africa.

Old Asian men in the Diaspora are reacting violently after their wives and children neglected them into isolation. No ethics group can take as much abuse as Africans. Despite the label of being violent, they remain the most peaceful group outside Africa. In the age and trend of global village, even African men that were comfortable in Africa, have lost some cultural leadership men all over the world still have in their continent.

Africans or Blackmen hardly get respect, benefit of doubt or credibility outside Africa. Social workers and Police can easily throw them out of their homes on the report of their partners. Indeed, African women brought by African men into Europe and America bragged before leaving home of what they could do when they landed in America: could easily take away his house bought before she got there, if he disrespected her.

Only if he is not smart though!

Politics / Foreign Miseducation Into Another Form Of Glorified Slavery by jara: 2:23pm On Jan 20, 2023
*COPIED*

*Japan Syndrome*

1. Good morning Nigerians.

I had a discussion with one of the 'relocatoree' to UK yesterday & I want to bring out more discomfiting analyses from what is happening.

I can only implore Nigerians to focus on our country and let all hands be on deck to build a great nation:

2. In just one university in Wales, (name withheld), a minimum of 600 Nigerians were newly offered admission for Masters Degree Programs.

The person I spoke to is between 45-50 years old. The cohort are in the range of 35-50, I understand. They are all paying £12,000 school fees per annum.

3. That is a whopping sum of £7,200,000.00 to one UK university drawn from Nigeria.

Imagine the number of other Nigerians in other UK universities.

Using a modest parallel market exchange rate of about N800 to the pound, Nigerians removed N5,760,000,000 (N5.7b) from our economy.

4. The N5.7b was dashed to just one UK University. That is just school fees.

Use the same measure for the living expenses they had to provide and you get a whopping N11.4b removed from our economy and taken to just one UK University.

5. I am sure you can do the calculation for up to 20 UK universities.

These Nigerians are the ones who say Nigeria is a failed nation, there is poverty in the land, abi?

Yet 600 of them were able to move over N10b out of the country. Just imagine if the CBN is being forced to provide FX at CBN rate to these ones?

6. These same ones will be grumbling that they can't access FX at bank rate.

I want you all to understand my point.

I reiterate that I am not opposed to young people migrating & I am also not really opposed to adult migration, I am just opposed to what I consider as ill-advised escapades into slavery.

7. These cohort of relocators are those who should be employers of labour given their ages.

Anyone who has N25m to relocate has money for gainful enterprising.

What then is wrong with our society?

Please do not say security or poverty or whatever excuse.

8. I know there is a problem of bad leadership especially in the states, but those leaving are the leader cohort. A lot of our problems come from the negative news that our media amplifies ALWAYS.

When you say daily that Nigeria is bad, it is insecure, you fix this nonsense in people's minds.

9. When the churches amplify this nonsense about Fulani hegemony, taking over, islamisation agenda etc, they fix these notion of oppression in the minds of people & the people internalise this to a point of feeling they are in danger.

10. I am sad this day because Nigeria does not deserve the atrocities that we, the citizens inflict on it daily.

It is in this same Nigeria that I have been born, 'breaded', buttered, 'sugared' and 'tead' and made a good living.

I have worked hard all through my 61 years, yes from birth.

11. This land has yielded good to me and my family, the same way it did to my genealogy.

My grandfather Late Said Tugbogbo Fawehinmi was a renowned Timber magnate right there in Ondo Town and exported timber through Brandler & Rake (Expatriate) who lived & made a fortune in Nigeria.

12. This thread today is to the citizens and not the authorities.

Search your hearts and see the damage you are doing as individuals to this nation.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Romance / If Ladies Ignore You Or Your Money Seek Advice by jara: 11:02pm On Jan 05, 2023
IF LADIES IGNORE YOU OR YOUR MONEY SEEK ADVICE

We hear a great deal about ladies chasing moneybags but not enough about those that are neither interested in you nor your money. If it is a choice between men and money, there are ladies out there that would rather have dignified brokeass men in their families than arrogant rich men. They never let most of their friends know they are the major provider for their family. These ladies are willing to spend their money to bring poor men to their taste and standard.

Before you run out looking for one, there is a catch though. The day you messed up eh, they would strip you naked; exposed to the world. Even worse, some of these ladies think they are saviors and may take abuse. But not for long before friends and families set them straight. Until then, they will bear with you. Their friends and family that had suspected you have very little, think they are crazy Mother Teresa.

Above all characters in men, most ladies look for agility. A friend of ours complained bitterly that he could not get the woman he liked. What the heck, if they do not like him, they should at least, like his money. He was resigned to patronizing prostitutes until a wife was found for him from the village. A very caring and devoted man. When ladies saw how he cared for his family, they wished for his devotion after they had ignored him for years.

Another lady was introduced to a well educated wealthy man she had wished for. They finally agreed to meet and had just one dinner together. It was the end of the relationship. This is a guy you would think many ladies would like to keep, not her. Despite all pleas from friends and others, she blocked him off. He was not agile and had no swagger.

Humans can be unpredictive. It is displayed when we turn others off or they turn us off without realizing what went wrong all of a sudden. It could be something we said or did. The surprising part is trying to understand what went wrong between a smooth rapport and a sudden change. The best way to find out is to retrace our actions just before the change in mood or ask her or him politely. Some folks may just be too polite or embarrassed to say!

But seriously, why would others arrange a wife for someone they know could not score? It has to do with continuity of line, culture, inheritance "blood" or reign. Sometimes an accident or war prevents a brother from fulfilling his obligation to the extended families. In those cases. A man cannot lie that he does not want to consummate the marriage until after the wedding. The last lady you want for that role, is a self made lady comfortable in her skin.

It may lead to abrupt disappointment and embarrassment beyond the neighborhood! We have seen traditional rulers acquire new young wives. You can count these ladies out of those marriages. They are not after money or fame. There are stories floating around that the traditional rulers have helpers in the palace servicing their young wives. But some surprised us by their agility and skill of Buga dance.

It turns out some of the traditional rulers might be old but also defy the law of gravity in bed. Those thinking that it is only pertinent to some African cultures are wrong. We have to remind them of the affair of the gardener with the Madam in Lady Chatterley's Lover, as the affair produced a child for the impotent man, proud to be a father. The one in the Holy Book is too controversial and beyond the scope of this article.

There is more to a relationship between a lady and a man than money. We have two famous old rich politicians that are well known. Many women with certain tastes would not touch either of them. Out of the ugly two, one is not even agile. The other invested in a gym in his house and is very agile with Buga dance skill. You can guess which of them has the most beautiful wife in the circle of politicians. So, we cannot condemn all ladies just as ladies cannot disparage all men.

These quiet ladies are right there hiding in plain sight but hardly draw attention to themselves. Their self confidence sometimes drives suitors away. After all they are not looking for any man to make them what they can make themselves. A good example are guys that will not date ladies taller than them. Little do they realize some ladies do not want two or three tall basketball players in the family.

So, how do you find these ladies? They also ask how to find the humble men. Despite signals from ladies to approach, some shy guys are just worried about reading that signal the wrong way. You may have to try anyway and risk misreading the signal to approach a willing partner. These signs are not written on our foreheads, so most of us miss good opportunities to proceed. We missed the ones we really wanted and settled for the second best. Those waiting for the best partners are still waiting into their old age.

It is a mistake to pay too much attention to loud mouths from both ladies and guys. It kills average men's motivation to seek relationships, especially shy parties. Since we cannot read every mind, try and error remains the social norm. We all have our purpose for choosing a partner. One has to wonder somehow, what attracts good ladies to men that abuse them. Most want to be seen with tall, dark and handsome men (fine boys). Others like the image of rugged and tough characters. So they compete with other ladies for the same caliber of men.

The same is true of shy men trying to attract the most beautiful girl in class when he knows he does not stand a chance. There are guys that could not ask girls for a dance in those days for fear of rejecting them. It used to be polite to ask the boyfriend first if you could dance with his girlfriend. One notable girl told a guy to go and dance with her boyfriend he asked. We could not laugh but were almost rolling on the floor!

Nevertheless, we cannot rule out ambitious men and women who overreach thinking they can get any woman or men outside their "class". We have seen the ugliest men that have been able to capture the prettiest lady around. They explain to us that they prefer integrity. Others say it is not about the big gun in your pocket but what you have in the bank. On the other hand, ladies get frustrated if you do not warm up to, or ignore their signals. They may even block you if you finally make a move towards them. It gets complicated.

Look, you may not like Obasanjo but he is consistent with his love for Idi-Igbo.

The first to bring out Igbo into powerful positions since the Civil war. The first to visit Nzeogwu's mother to pay his respect. If you remember, Igbo called him the most de-tribalized Nigerian when he was President.

After that nko? They kicked him in the face the way they called Fajuyi, Banjo and Soyinka traitors.
