Gurgle: Oh I saw the pear the last time I came back; they were in season then and there was a lot of it around
I have never ever seen that kind of pear in the UK that's why I was shocked when they brought it.
Over here when we say pear we mean a large green fruit that is related to the apple Ok, but that's the name that was given to that purple and cylinder shaped vege here in Naija. How's it over there |

Romance › Re: Double Piercing Without Boyfriends Consent by Jascon4: 3:04pm On Jul 21, 2015 |
mrsmith11: You and ladies above are saying he doesn't have right to be mad becos his just a bf
Tomorrow he marries her then ask her to remove the the double piercing becos he doesn't like it so you don't think there will be fight?
One of the things in a relationship is your partner having influence in your life whether husband or boyfriend so if you can't accept there influence then you are not ready or suppose to be relationship If he nurtured plans to marry her, then she would become his fiancé. He may have the right to be mad, but definitely doesn't have authority over her as her boyfriend. His input is restricted to advice, counsel, opinion, protest etc |
Romance › Re: Double Piercing Without Boyfriends Consent by Jascon4: 11:53am On Jul 21, 2015 |
Segbu1: have been dating my gf for over three years now. last we were talking when she told me she did a double piercing without my consent. when I asked why she said she just felt like doing it. I know we are not married yet but do have the right to be mad at her? I do not support the view that a girl has to secure the permission of her boyfriend before carrying out personal decision like double piercing. As long as she is still under the care of her parents, it is only pertinent that she seeks the permission of her parents or husband if she is married. She may choose to inform her boyfriend about her decision, but it is not within his purview to stop her except he is her bread winner or her husband. He may advice and give his opinion, but in a normal circumstance he definitely has no authority in that sphere as long as he is just a boyfriend. |

ehjiwummy: Asking a guy out is totally wrong,it limit your pride as a woman.our mothers didn't ask our fathers out during their time.let stop following white people steps.wait upon the lord and the right one will fall for u. The scene of the world is changing my dear, what our mothers never used to do our generation is now doing. We imitate, are imitating and always will imitate the western world, even you my dear are guilty in imitating them on something. Though it might appear unafrican, but it would surely become one of those weird acts that have come to stay and it will eventually be accepted as a norm. |

Youths derive pleasure in discussing frivolities. If it was an academic thread, it won't reach 5 pages.

Twaci:
what? Is it something new? Well, it is not only weird but awkward, considering that a date is intended for potential lovers to get to know themselves and strengthen their bond, not a time to take advantage to fill empty stomach and order for choice food and drinks. That should be done when he tells you he is taking you out, not when on a date. |

standd: lol..truth is there are a thousand cool places in cities to have a date that doesn't involve food at all. I know several places where you can take your gal to shoot pool in Ajah, you can go to swim, to window shop, to relax in a private beach or park, there is also a place where you can go for car-racing and very other interesting stuffs that brings about bonding in relationships. But so many people already equate dates with stuffing the face with food hence the issue of having unwanted quests intruding on your dates. I am delighted to realize that ladies like still walk the soil of naija. Majority of our girls see date not just as an opportunity to fill empty stomach, but to eat choice food and drinks sometimes alongside their friends. But you have highlighted the true meaning of dating and I adore you for that. We'll talk better later |

Romance › Re: A Girl Proposed To Her Boyfriend ! How Many Girls Can Do That ? by Jascon4: 1:03pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
firstEVA: if a lady loves a guy, all she should do is give him green light, show him signs that you like him, then he should take it up from there. A woman proposing is as unnatural as fagggotry. And if the guy honestly doesn't perceive the green light We live in a dynamic world. A lot of things have changed. Women are now taking on the role of men in many endeavors of life, woman now do the things that were hitherto not done in the past by the women folk. A woman proposing to a man though awkward and unafrican, is essentially part of the dynamic world we live in. Things have changed, are changing and will continue to change, hence I don't precisely see the sin in that act. I view it in a perspective. I see it as humble, bold and more, since women in their seemingly proud and subservient nature always wait for the man to make the first move. There are so many unnatural things that have been accepted as normal in the present world, that my dear will eventually become one of them in no distant future. |

It is a date and not a party, it is not even an outing. In a date, you are supposed to just talk and get to know yourselves, your goals etc. Unfortunately our Nigerian ladies usually mistake a date for an outing hence the reason they want to eat everything on display. |
Romance › Re: A Girl Proposed To Her Boyfriend ! How Many Girls Can Do That ? by Jascon4: 11:33am On Jul 20, 2015 |
firstEVA: Mad people, they are trying to reverse the natural order. The lady no get sense, the guy is an ode! There is nothing wrong in going for what you want or making an effort to satisfy your heart desire. In a bid to maintain the so called natural order some ladies have lost out on prospective marriage mates. I must commend this lady for her boldness in going for what she wants. Its a sign of humility. I profoundly admire such women, bold, assertive and dynamic. |
