AdaNri1: any one can get hold of these details very easily. I didn't give my number to some people but they've managed to contact me via whatsapp. I also have classmates from way back in secondary school who sent me BBM request. Once you use an android or iPhone your BBM details can be gotten by anyone who has your number. By the way I'm not defending anybody here I'm just saying its a biased viewed so in the interest of fairness I give a different view. I am in no way referring to those who got your pin or what's app number from a source other than you. This is precisely directed to those ladies who would willingly give you their contact, sometimes they are the ones who asks you if you are on any of these platforms and would like to add you up. Unfortunately, when they eventually become a contact, they become dormant, inactive, defunct, cold and a liability even when you are the one who always initiates a conversation. I have seen this hogwash a little too often. Hence, the OP is entirely correct. He said nothing but the undiluted truth. |

flickers72: Man you're spot on,I have been chatting with a girl from Nigeria over 3 years now.Is damn boring and the abbreviations are out of control, most times I hardly get what she's all about, even though I'm a Nigerian but has left Nigeria for long. Most times I write how was your day the next thing is kk,I'm like what's that? She'll reply I'm fine and that's it like 10 minutes she'll write me back asking ARE YOU STILL THERE?I'm like yea, she'll reply kk .It came to the point I got fed up and asked her don't you know how to communicate, her reply,I having nothing to say. After couple of months she wrote me,hello sweetie,I was like what's happening she's calling me sweetie,I replied and she sarted asking, how I'm I and all that I said I'm good and I was like good job you've changed, guess what happened after couple of chats, my phone is bad that was why I couldn't chat, can you send me any phone even if is galaxy S5,I was like oh yeah.Deleted her Most often than not, once you notice them sounding nice and sweet all of a sudden...please scream "INCOMING" and duck, because a request is in the offing. |

There were known NL monikers |

AdaNri1: this is an objective view and I'd say you already knew the Kenyan girl hence the address by name and the apology for not keeping in touch. However you hardly know the Nigerian and she seems cautious to tell you about herself not out of rudeness but she doesn't want to encourage you, would you blame her? If she's friendly she's called a gold digging slut, If tomorrow she ends up dead or scammed you'll call her a fool. The American girl is just being polite because she knows you'll be tracked down if you were in America in the case of any crime. Stop giving Nigerian girls a bad name, it's called survival of species, they don't want to chat with an absolute stranger because they don't trust them. They don't want to chat with an absolute stranger but why did they give out their BBM pin or What's app number? I would ask....you see that your defense is either weak or doesn't hold water altogether. |

profmallory: Ah you see what I have always told my brother. Any serious government must be aware of what ever is going on social media, whole governments in northern Africa and middle east were over thrown by revolutions that started innocently from social media. Peopla have to watch what ever they say, and should not just talk anyhow because there is a sense of I cannot be seen. The government is listening, and I can assure you everyone can be traced and Identified, moreso that this is a social media on internet. Be warned! I especially endorse 1 and 7...the rest are very much applicable no doubt. Sadly, some guys are too desperate that they eventually humiliate themselves and unwittingly degrade the dignity of prospective suitors. |

Politics › Re: United States Disappointed With Buhari’s Visit by Jascon4: 12:34pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
The United States promise of support to Buhari vis á vis Nigeria pales into insignificance in contrast with the enthusiastic pledge the same country has made to Kenya. One of Obama's many quotes in Kenya says, "The United States will stand with you shoulder to shoulder in this fight against extremists for as long as it lasts". There are many more of similar intense pledges embedded within his many speeches in Kenya.
The U.S president passionate support of Kenya makes mockery of the shallow promises he made to our president.
Before you say it is because Obama has Kenyan heritage, Obama said unequivocally that Kenya has demonstrated a clear cut drive at development and uplifting its citizen out of poverty. Besides, it is not Obama who is offering the support, but the United States because he visited Kenya as the President of the United Sates of America. |

Kazrem: A drained brain is not difficult to be identified. It always finds faults in everything. But to your question, among other things that he achieved was having a session with the investors and sharing the business prospects in the country. So next time use your brain to follow happenings and not your ass. What is the achievement in having a session with prospective investors? Any visiting head of state can have a session with investors, but the achievement, however, is when the prospective investors have actually come to invest. Until that happens, the much touted achievement is certainly nonexistent. |
