zed7: How? People should stop making statements just to score political points.
Obi is my man but let's be real. Can you control a stubborn or drunk driver? These BRT bus drivers drive like they own the road. Same applies to container carrier drivers and all those lorry drivers. They just want to oppress and intimidate others with smaller vehicles.
There is a limit to what the government can do, we as individuals should learn to do better. Who trains the drivers? If they are misbehaving can't they be changed? |

Goodlady:
Nairalanders I need your help. Am Having Serious Issues With My Fiance Because Of Our Political Differences. Pls advise.
I v been trying to explain to him logically why Obi lost to Tinubu. Since Saturday, he was angry cos someone told him he saw me voting Tinubu. He's supporting LP and he's from Delta. Shey na me be INEC chairman or Tinubu that defeated Obi ni? I told him that APC ll win cos APC prepared for the elections early, aligned with northern govs, north has higher active voters etc. I tried to tell him PDP are the ones causing hate, manipulations and slanderous publications that normally, Obi is a gentleman that PDP should v fielded. He said he ll win with or without PDP. Now that he has seen the result, he's angry cos I taunted him on Monday that APC ll win as I v guessed. I m a law graduate and student of political science that I read politics, art of war etc including foreign information so I can predict political maneuvers. He believes I m just partisan and he's begining to give me attitudes. He didn't call me throughout Tuesday and didn't visit me last night as he promised and hasn't called since that time. I m mad with him cos he's not seeing my points but I love him. What should I do? Maybe I should just avoid political discussions with him but he's the same person that said he loves ladies that are current o. I m confused cos I actually love him. Right now, we are like the pic described below. I need honest advise cos the past few months has been hectic! You be mumu Nan,he can't trust your sense of judgment again if you didn't see anything wrong in entrusting our lives to a thief and a drug Baron. I broke up with my gi Because of this too, enjoy your breakfast |

I knew she would write, as if u.s/u.k no dey aware say elections aren't transparent in Nigeria. We no see am for the herdsmen killings, boko killings, eastern killings, kidnappings and beheadings, naira crisis and scarcity, igboho house siege and the killings, cos those ones can't bring popularity like this This one is 🌽 fused. Politics › Re: The Unhappy Mood In The North After Tinubu Win by jasent(m): 9:53pm On Mar 01, 2023 |
VeryKindHearted: By my observation, the mood in the north among the masses is not that happy. I sense a kind of unhappiness among the people because Atiku did not win.
Let me take you down memory lane as follows:
APC almost denied Tinubu ticket because of the fear that Atiku Abubakar of PDP may likely win because the north will vote for Atiku if APC doesn't field a northerner.
They feared that APC could lose if Tinubu is the flag bearer.
Previous to this election, everywhere I went, I observed that the north was behind Atiku.
So let us say that the north has lost the election because PDP has lost.
The East has lost the election because LP has lost.
Why are the northerners blaming the east for their lost?
I sense a kind of anger from the northerners today. They said that the easterners only voted for LP.
I saw so many WhatsApp posts here in the north attacking Igbos. I hear some discussion bordering on the selfishness of easterners. They are not happy, I can confidently say.
I believe that the north thought that the east is so divided that it cannot come together to support a particular candidate.
I sincerely believed that they thought that PDP will win because somehow or other, the east would vote for PDP.
Although I never voted for APC(I am behind Obi). But I am happy because the north now knows that a candidate from the south can win even when the north is behind a northern candidate the way they were behind Atiku. The north now knows that if everyone is voting for his tribe, no one is sure of victory.
Previous to this election, Tinubu was unpopular and everywhere in the north was Atiku.
So I am happy that a southern has won in an election which also fielded a popular northerner. Bring out the 🌽 in your pocket. How can they blame Easterners for selection that was done by INEC? |

Politics › Re: 2023: Obi Should Let Go, Build LP For 2027 by jasent(m): 2:50pm On Mar 01, 2023 |
NaijaCowFarm: I am not happy that Peter Obi did not win. There are clear fundamental factors that were so herculean to overcome the very moment LP/NNPP alliance failed. Now that Atiku is seemingly out of the way, it is time to galvanise the opposition towards 2027. It is going to be a marathon, so let us start now. There is no point wasting resources on election tribunal. With the capacity shown by Obi, 2027 is possible, but we need to do the following:
1. Not waste time and resources on election tribunal, but need to let Nigerians know of the brazen robbery APC governors and Wike perpetrated. If the PDP wants to challenge the results, let them do so themselves, without involving LP
2. Get real political structure for Labour Party across Nigeria. One reason we loss was because we did not have strong roots in the North.
3. Galvanise all elected officials to form a formidable force to take on APC, which is already reduced in strength from 21 to 12 states.
4. Peter Obi and LP should focus on the March 11, 2023 governorship polls. Obi should begin touring states LP won to boost morale of LP supports in the 22 states win high voters. Not waste resources in states like Katsina, Yobe, Zamfara.
5. LP leadership should begin talks with NNPP, progressive still in PDP and form a formidable party with structure, just like what ACN/CPC did. We need to start now. And you think in 2027 they will let the election be free and fair? By the way you can see that the world leaders are not congratulating tinubu yet, they are not happy |

Hate him or not, PO is a whirlwind that blew the Nigerian political space and uprooted those ancient stump. Just imagine seeing PO on the ballot in 2027 and you'd already picked form from PDP in his stronghold 😂
PO would have won if he was in position of Atiku. Labour Party might be displacing PDP if the winners work well and PO comes out again in 2027.
No regrets supporting PO, let Tinubu do well. Congrats. And who told you they won't ring it again then? |

PassingShot: You guys are pathetic. The fact is that votes now count more than ever in Nigeria. In this same election which you lots are badmouthing, many sitting governors lost their bid for senatorial seat (Lalong, Ortom, Ikpeazu, etc.), the sitting president lost his state to an opposition party, same for Kaduna, Kano, Lagos and many others. Yet you hate-filled, unreasonable kids keep saying your preferred candidate was rigged!
If there was any rigging, it was largely carried out by LP/Igbos in SE and Lagos. You know you're fooling yourself,an you keep fooling yourself. Don't you have principles are all? |

Politics › Re: 13.1 Million People Voted Against APC And Tinubu by jasent(m): 6:58am On Mar 01, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: Here is a thought. 13.1 million people did not vote for APC, out of the 21 m who did vote.
If those 13.1 million people had voted for one party, APC would have been voted out. But because they voted for 3 different parties, the votes got divided, and APC won the election.
The truth is, APC lost this election. Most Nigerians did not vote for them, nor do they like them. But they won because Atiku and Peter Obi and Kwankwaso and Wike could not at the very least compromise with each other.
That is the sad cold truth. A disunited opposition loses the election.
Like I said, APC did not win this election, the opposition lost it. Is Inec a joke to you? Something they planned long time ago? If it was only PDP and APC on ballots that would've made it easier for them. But as it stands now evidence are everywhere for LP. Buhari is a disgrace shall |

Cletus77: The strategy is to dwarf the votes from concentrated Labour Party places and replace them with smaller margins against APC, while APC dominated areas like the SW will win with high margins against LP.
Edo state gave more votes than this to LP, same with Lagos, same with Rivers and Akwa ibom.
