Let me explain how it works. Bottle of water in Nigeria goes for 150 Naira retail price.. wholesale may be lesser. The same bottle of water in Ghana goes for 3Gh, which is over 300naira in equivalent. Tekmosor soap in Nigeria is 250 to 300 naira retail price. Here in Ghana it's 12Gh, almost 1300 naira. You can not bring car from Nigeria or Togo to Ghana and re-register it. You can only come in with Nigerian number and stay for few weeks or months, depending on the time they give you. When the time expires you have to go and renew the staying licence. But you'll have to also pay in Benin republic, Togo before entering Ghana. As a car coming in for the first time you may need to spend up to 600k for paper to pass through these countries. Good luck

Breaking: Gov Otti Set to Join APC

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti of Labour Party (LP) has concluded plans to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).


A close associate of Otti who is also a member of the National Working Committee of the APC made the revelation on Monday adding that preparations are underway to ensure that the party accommodates Otti and all his supporters.

In March 2023, Otti was declared winner of the governorship election in Abia after he polled 175,466 votes to defeat Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 88,529 votes.

His victory was however challenged by the candidate of the PDP, Chief Okey Ahiwe, and his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Ikechi Emenike, who came third separately.


In January , Supreme Court dismissed the appeals against Otti and upheld his election as the Governor of Abia State.

An undisclosed source in Abia State Government House who confirmed the planned defection said the need for the state to align with the government in centre necessitated the defection

According to the source, “ the governor is passionate about Abia and has the intention to increase the infrastructural status of the state.

“To achieve this feat and achieve his dreams for Abia, he needs a strong partnership with several national and international institutions. He is not leaving the Labour Party to despise anyone but he is doing it for the greater development of Abia state”


It will be recalled that the National Chairman of the APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje recently disclosed decision of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration to pursue the political liberation of the South East Geopolitical zone using the instrumentality of the party.

According to Ganduje, “ The President has approved the political emancipation, he has approved the political de-marginalisation of the South-east.“
