Shut up, you're not Yoruba. Not with the IPOB-esque nonsense you've written above. Yes, I don't agree with the OP about not giving state government jobs to Igbos in Yorubaland, and I also don't deceive myself that Yorubaland is "developed." But comparing it to other regions, Yorubaland is fairing well. I wonder why it's the other ethnic groups trooping out to Yorubaland in droves and not the other way round. Moreover, where were you when Abia State sacked non-indigenes (mostly fellow Igbos from Imo State) from its civil service?
I can see you are a man of low IQ. So anyone who speaks against the OP is seen as an IPOB abi? No wahala. I can see you are pained but it is allowed. Pele. But just swallow the bitter pill I just gave and by God's special grace you will be okay las las.

.... If you say there isn't then what then will the process of distillation and filtration be for in wine production, well Weda it is called non alcoholic, alcohol free or dealcoholized wine we will leave for that for who cares to do more research. Bye
But he is right. The term "non-alcoholic" is only used to distract the general public from the fact that alcohol resides inside the so called "non-alcoholic "beverages. A simple analogy would be yoghurt. Yoghurt is generally thought of an a "non-alcoholic "substance to the general public, but to the biochemist/hemist /chemical engineer, it is a drink with very low alcoholic content.

[/s] You are just embittered. Apart from Lagos, mention just one yoruba state that has proper development. And secondly, me na yoruba man; I do not go about impersonating and claiming to be what I am not. I am just the type who sees a spade and calls it spade. And the truth is this : Lagos is the only developed section of Yoruba land. The rest are just hamlets dependent on what the center feeds them. This is sad but it is the truth. And why do I criticize this? I criticize this so that our Yoruba brothers out there will seek to develop their own parts of the country. Period

You're just affirming what I said earlier.
And to address the other part of your assertions, I talk not from a point of privilege, but I also happened to have studied medicine in this same Nigeria. You studied here doesn't mean you have to practice here, which I stated in my first post. However, studying here gives you a fairly good medical education (excluding the strikes), and you can always write you at a very affordable cost qualifications as an international medical graduate in US, UK, Canada, Australia
Studying here is hogwash. How?

You have an outdated curriculum.

Outdated facilities.

The lack of exposure here will also hinder you elsewhere. So why not get a good foundation by going out there and studying out there.

fucking liar. Who gave them forex to get dollars ?oil major manufacturers are responsible for 50% , oil major marketers and farmers for 30% while the remaining 20% goes to petty importers like car spare parts. And for ur in formation, it's the fed govt in charge off import duty levies not state. ... Notice, if percentage of Igbos stop to import, other tribes we take up the space...
[/s] I can see your basic problem is denial. So let me start asking you a series of questions
1.So how then does the state generate so much revenue? And do not say Lekki Toll.

2. The oil companies you mentioned, are they not a part of the means of generating revenue of Lagos?

3.Does any Yoruba state generate what Lagos state alone generates?

4. The 20% you mentioned amounts to 1/5th of the total amount generate (not bad for a single tribe abi? grin), right? So what then do the Yorubas contribute to the generation of revenue to the state (that's apart from Yahoo-yahoo and ówambé gatherings)?

GogetterMD:
I don't doubt that you schooled in Russia. My point is that it is going to be difficult for him to switch to medicine from his biotechnology course. He's going to need to reapply or complete that course first, before applying to study for medicine.
And no, you're wrong. Medicine in Nigeria has everything to offer. All the successful Nigerian medical practitioners abroad had their primary medical degree/qualification in Nigeria. You always have the option of switching allegiance to another country by writing the necessary exams after your medical training in Nigeria
Who is telling you that? Of course you can switch professions. I even have a classmate who studied chemical engineering (which has a branch under biotech engineering) and later chose to switch to medicine after we had graduated.

Then secondly, the delusion you have of medicine in Nigeria being grand is pure hogwash. As it stands now, Nigeria has a failed medical system ;so what can a failed medical system offer you as an aspiring doctor? Or do you forget there are no equipments, no incentives and most our resident doctors here keep looking for greener pastures elsewhere? And what about the strikes the Nigerian Medical Association(NMA) keeps singing on a yearly basis ? Are their strikes not on unpaid allowances? Let me leave that as a rhetorical question.

Then, have you even considered the ASSU strikes involved? ASSU is not just destroying destinies, but also destroying the future of Nigerians. Now will you want your son or daughter studying in Nigeria under these circumstances?

Who is telling you that? Who is feeding you that lie? Look if not for corruption, Lagos will have nothing. You keep forgetting that Lagos was once capital of Nigeria, and that the seaport there influence so many things. Let another major seaport be created in the south-south(like Portharcourt for instance) and see if Lagos popularity will not crumble like a house of cards!

[/s] Olodo, I was born and bred in Lagos and I spent most of my years schooling in Ondo (Idoani to be precise). I have even stayed in Ibadan (Iwo road) and I can confidently say this: only Lagos is developed ;the rest of those states (Osun, Ogun, Ondo and co) are nothing less than hamlets.

Even the internal generated revenue of Lagos comes from the seaport...which is the backbone for the development of Lagos. But can the same be said of other yoruba states? No! It is only underdevelopment and dodo with éwa goin that can be found in other yoruba states.

P. S I am yoruba from Ekiti

You can't just "switch over" to medicine in Russia.
@OP, the choice is yours to make. While medicine still remains a top choice for course applications (you can always still travel abroad after writing qualification exams for IMG post-medical school), you still have 6-7 years to study medicine (+/- strikes).
Biotechnology is a very nice course to study as well. How grounded the course is in Russia, and possibility of you getting a job in Russia afterwards (Russians are not very kind in foreigners working in fields of pure science), I am not so sure of. But going by the rule of "a bird in hand is worth more than 2 in the Bush", it might be worth a shot
I schooled in Russia oga. The only issues he will experience there is racism with groups called Skinheads . And that is everywhere. But the most important point I will like to stress on here is the exposure. Medicine in Nigeria has nothing to offer anyone. All those who support it are living in the past glories of the profession, not the financial backing of the profession

The Yorubas are not even liked in igboland, they deny us job and houses but cry tribalism when such are done here.. enough is enough
