akinalabi: Oga, you must really think highly of me that I will be so hardworking to personally handle every aspect of NairaBET. I have no idea who has been banned or not. We have quite a few staff manning different aspects of the company. I DO NOT MODERATE THE FORUM.

But as you can guess, the forum is heavily moderated. Those in charge have been instructed that the slightest hint of advertising should be deleted and the poster banned.

Posting of picks is allowed and that is why the segment was created. People still post picks there till tomorrow.

And I can tell you that the rate of a customer's winning or losing does not determine who gets banned or not. We cant even know who is who just from the forum.

Thanks.
datz understandable

montelik: Orell is a funny dude. You cut Ygritte loose sentencing her to an ugly death, from which she is narrowly saved. Then after her miraculous survival you start toasting her, no apology. You didn't even wait for enough time pass for her to forget. Wow. How romantic.
Hate that Orell, he really looks like a wildling, but annoying and stewpid. Toasting Jon snow's girl. tsk tsk tsk. wrong move

Hey! just saw this thread now! I watch VD just for 2 reasons (Elijah & Damon). 2 of the coolest guys on CBS Tv Network/ CW Tv Ever!! Cant wait to see Marcel and all those his fake a55 vampires dead and dry like stock fish. See his small black head, challenging the shadow of death itself (Klaus) and the cleanest vampire (Elijah). Did you see how he(Elijah) took out those 2 Marcel's guys in the backyard? CLASSIC!!!

nyere84: AGE IS NOT A BARRIER..!!!

Why cant we be happy for her and wish her well??

@op, Go Girl..!!! Am solidly behind you.
Age can be a barrier of many sorts. The age is not the problem. The Mind and the society is. If she's determined to love the guy no matter what turns up 2moro. And she sees the reality of what she's going into, the better for her. We cannot come and wish her well, it's not yet too late. Maybe if she was already married, we would just wish her well. But now we got to tell her the bitter truth, so that she knows what she's going into

Amelian: Ok, it goes like this.. Am in my early 30s , good looking, building my career to a nice level, the kind of guys am attracted 2 are cute tall chubby guys.. I don't settle for less undecided... I guess that's y am still single...ok , fast forward.. I was at a BUSSTOP waiting for a bus, when a car slowly drove close to me and this handsome dude, lowered his head in his car to say hi, and if he should give me ride... I looked at him, was skeptical abit, but I noticed his baby face and the way he beckoned on me softly, I sighed and I hopped in.. He introduced himself, but he looks kind of young..especially his face which I secretly liked.

We got talking, he was like he is in town to assist his dad in their family company.. I was like,,oh ok..that's cool. smiley..... We started dating, thenafter few months , he dropped d bombshell that he has a confession to make...And we have to meet, I was like what's wrong.. He says he is actually working for his dad , part time, though but he is in his Finals in the university and he is about to go his NYSC Programme. And he is posted to Yobe state! shocked... I was like wat! Why didnt u tell me , yur a student!.. I felt so bad, that he could conveniently omit that info , of being a student! The question , I was dreading to ask him, now came up... I shook my head and asked how old are you? He looked down and says he is 26 yrs..oh my God! sad... I somehow knew he was younger, but not that young...and at then, I was 31. I felt so bad , I just told him , to go and leave me alone.. I felt so hurt, I felt so alone... Cause av gotten to love him so much... I never imagined, I won't see him for a whole yr! sad

He tried calling , texting... I ignored him... I just want to get over everything and move on.....did i eventually move on, yea but i was not satisfied with two other relationships, i had...He eventually travelled to the north..and I moved on... After two failed relationships again with guys my age bracket and older too... I just decided to forget abt guys and focus more in my career .

After a yr, I received a text message from my once Prince Charming, he is back to town, and wants to meet with me...
Then he called my line, I felt so soft listening to his voice... And we agreed to meet... He asked , how far av gone with work... I told him, av just bought a car a month ago smiley.. So we are now car owners,, not only him ... smiley he laughed and said that's cool, what brand ... I told him..

Now , av forgiven him, we started dating again.. But my friends are like he is younger, he's just done from his youth service ..why do I want to be serious with him?. They don't know his prospects and I can't keep on explaining that he has potentials. One of my frnd a guy even said, he hopes, my bf is not back because I have a car! sad sad...
Can u imagine? And that I shud be careful and he is after my money...I was like, listen to yourself, becos am living well, does not mean I shud be wary of guys and see them as opportunists?

I know there r bad guys , also there are bad girls too..But pls don't judge him, he is with me.... Just for me and he has great dreams and strong potentials, which I know deep down , he will succeed....he is branching out from his dad's company, and has great plans he is working on...why shud I allow suspection to creep in? He has never asked me for money, cos he is ok.

Yea , we do av little issues like most couples do.... But we make up quickly and we understand ourselves better ...pple shud stop creating doubts in couples mind...

It's not good, it's not fair.... sad...stop judging the intentions of a seemingly good guy... Or what do u guys think?
Cos, I don't want doubts about him loving me truly to creep in... And he is so handsome : smiley and bubbly with life...
Have you ever really calmed down to consider that what all your friends are saying might actually be true and they are not just hating? (unless of course, you have terrible friends that don't wish you happiness). All I hear you talk of, is how you guys love each other and how much you are in cloud9 when you are around him. But this is Marriage we are talking about here, Love is a constant, but it's not all that is needed to foster a good marriage. there are other variables like Respect, Understanding, Peace e.t.c I think the major reason why people dread this kind of marriage is because of the variable "respect". When a man is younger than his wife, The man tends to demand more respect because he feels inferior(age-wise). you cant blame him if he does, he's 5 years younger than you. If and when he proposes, You should know that the success of your marriage lies in your ability to humble yourself and respect him, like he was your father (which is somfin you would not need to do if he was older). The truth is, people cant predict or estimate the success of any marriage. Only the couple can make their own destiny. If you think you can keep up with whatever comes out as a result of your decision, then Cool. Wish you Happiness tho smiley

biolabee: You have some points but i would like to know practically what a woman can do which is not the wrong way (bolded))
If I am to psychologically analyse Men and Women. I'll tell you that All male decisions are driven by 3 factors, Personal Intelligence, Ego/Pride, Libido. In other words, A man can be highly Intelligent but if he has a huge Ego and a high Libido his very likely to make a whole bunch of mistakes, same with an Unintelligent man with Little Ego and high Libido. or an Unintelligent Man with a Huge Ego and Low Libido. I hope by now you get the point. Once a man goes bad in one of this 3, he's likely to take the wrong turn. In the other Hand, A woman is driven by many many things, but the honorable mentions should be, personal Intelligence, Passion, self Esteem and general Emotions. An Intelligent woman with Low self Esteem, high passion and balanced Emotion. would eat alot of crap, because she has low self esteem. An Unintelligent woman, with no passion, High self esteem and mixed or alternate emotions would eat alot of crap too because she's not just smart enough or she's not sure what she's feeling. Like I say to alot of people that come searching on tips on how to have a happy relationship, Everybody is not the same. We are not all one mass produced action figure or toy that comes with a manual. What works for Mary can never work exactly the same way for Martha. That's why I believe all those books on success in a relationship are a total rip off. We all have to take our own initiative here. The only thing I can help to do is categorize it for you. If you got a partner, write my factors down in a sheet of paper and find out which group your partner falls into. Find out what drives the person. Maybe as a guy, if I notice my girlfriend has a low self esteem, I would never do anything to make her feel she's not good enough. Infact I'll make her feel I am not good enough for her, just to make her feel comfortable. And if I am a gal and my guy got Ego problems, Even if he's really bad in bed, I'll fake Orgazms and moans, just to make him feel He's the best I ever had. I'll let him feel like he's in charge, Even when I am fully in-charge. there's one wicked stunt my mum frequently pulled on my dad, she got an idea, but she knows he'll never go along with it, so she talks like she was reminding him of a bizarre idea he brought up some years back and she opposed it completely, She might say somfin like "can you imagine how silly you were then?" My dad in a bid to prove that the idea was not actually that stupid might begin to bring more points in support of the idea, and in the end He'll insist he must do it. My mum would smile and say somfin like "Whatever, you always have your way". My dad always did my mum's bidding, but never for one day did he directly agree with her on a point. she used the reverse psychology to get everytin she wanted. It's just the bit and pieces of many possibilities, that should be exploited by partners, but I hope by now you get my point?

redsun: There is nothing tribal about it.It just that all the horror stories i hear about 21st century witch hunting in nigeria seems to emanate from that region.

Terrible to know that people still fall victim of ignorant beliefs like that in this web and jet age.
Well, they believe it and no amount of web or Jet can change it. It's their culture and their tradition, maybe if you grew up in calabar, you'll understand. Spent some time there, about 15years or so. I know witches exist but I dont have the bloody time to think or worry about it. Every City has their tradition, I still see goat head with oil and biscuits in T-junctions in Lagos, I still see roasted human bodies in port harcourt, aba, Onitsha. I still see men on white gowns speaking and facing the sun in Abuja and I still see witches being flogged with palm fronds at the streets of calabar, Eket and uyo. It still doesn't stop the world from rotating and as bizarre as the whole idea of what these people do, It's still their tradition.

Michky: lol. Thats why i put my genius status as "self-acclaimed" So far, no one has certified me a genius yet. It is understandable because i have not yet been able to prove anything thus far. In my mind sha, i believe am in the league of legends like Albert Einstein, my lord Jesus Christ, Gautama Buddah, Socrates and the rest. That aside though. Jasper, i dont know if you've noticed o. You have a way with timeless combo of words. Alot of your posts will certainly be eligible for future words on marble for generations yet unborn, guaranteed. In other words, you make words on marble seem so easy to compose. E.g: "There is a limit to the number of screw-ups you can have in a life time. You just make all the mistakes and once you exhaust them, you begin to profit"- Jasper.
I am flattered in chinese... grin. Thanks bro. Dont worry very soon, you'll no longer be a self-acclaimed Genius. The world would see it too. We on Nairaland are seeing glimpses of it. Especially on this thread
