This is far different. First, the girl just lost her freedom. Her destiny is now tied to a debt which the dad is not likely to pay any time soon. Secondly the girl isn't even going to school. Seriously this is slavery ! The only difference with those ancient black slavery is that the Father has an option of buying her back. I honestly sympathize with the Dad BUT no Child deserve such treatment.

Selling one's daughter into servitude in any form and for any reason is cruel, inhumane and harsh. I understand the dad was desperate but he should have explore other alternatives. This act cannot be justifiable in any guise. I sympathize with the innocent girl.

I am also an introvert. Our lives are not complicated we just sometimes/mostimes dnt know how to express our feelings. I have so many things to say but the introverted nature makes me quiet and cool.
My boyfriend sometimes gets bored around me cos am not the wild type of a girl, in as much as I like to be romantic I just cnt! My own case is even worse coupled with the fact that am also shy, for the first year I was unable to look at him straight in the eye, even tilll the 2nd year telling him 'I LOVE U' was a problem, I am getting better now tho.
There is uniqueness in the introvert nature and am sure there is something u like about him which should keep you going. My own BF likes the fact that am cool to be with, faithful to him(introverts hardly cheat), I support and encourage him, my introvert nature makes it almost impossible to ask things from him.
If he is like some Nigerian guys that like the outgoing girl, I dnt think I would ever have a bf.

Nlers have come with another sex thread again. Here is my blunt, uncut personal opinion. Sex is over-rated in a relationship. Period !!! Sex is smth u can get everyday whether u r in a relationship or not. Even mad people do have sex. So I don't know logic behind a guy going into a relationship or milking ur pocket dry or claiming to love Sm1 just for sex. Don't get me wrong, sex gives a relationship flavour but then go into a relationship because u really want to and not solidly for sex that u can get anytime and evrywhere. My Ex once wants told me "Just love and make me happy and you can have me in everyway ". So even if she says No, let her be. If u want to spend on her Don't do it cus u expect sex. If u can't cope abeg waka comot.

I used to fear a lot of things but not anymore. This is how I deal with my fears...whether in love, @ work, fear of snakes e.t.c. I ask my self 2 questions (1) " What is the worst thing that can happen if I try ".., (2) How can I minimize that". Most often I will just discover that the Fear is just a facade, an illusion created by my mind. For example what's the worst that can happen if I fall in love ? Maybe Hearthbreak. But that's Never too much of a risk to take

So sad....what a bad way to die. RIP to the dead.

I prefer Male Bosses. They are more logical. Female Bosses are harder to please. I just focus on doing my job well. Funny enof all the ones I work with are Females but give me max respect cus I don't get too close and I stay professional.

For some time now I have been opportuned to meet some Nairalanders offline and it has been eye-opening. Without bias the guys I have met offline seems to be more real both online and offline. Met a lot when I was in school (UNIBEN NLers) We just talk and relate smoothly. For the girls its been funny. Most of these female e-warrior NL divas seem to be only popular online. Met a few and they were far from the voracious outspoken persons I know online on NL. They were actually like the shy n quiet type offline and certainly not as pretty (But one try small). Anyway I hope to meet more next year 2015, especially one Mod that banned me for 24hrs in health section. I want to buy him or her a beer and seun...a bottle of McDowell ! Compliments of the Season.

I stayed @ Ekosodin. In my 5th year, I was coming from clinicals (corporately dressed with tie).....came into my hostel and met some "Men" (Black Ax guys) drinking n smoking weeds. They called me and asked me to go get them 2 bottles of McDowells. (when I was hungry n thinking of how to get supper for mysef). So I asked the guy to bring the money so that I can help him to go n buy. ....aahhh, the Bros provoke. He con asked me 'who you be' ? I just told him my department n level. The other guy who seem to be their boss said " free this fine boy, see as he wear tie like pastor sef, he don tay for uniben small ". He then warn me never to answer that way again, say he just wan free me becus I don tay for uniben too.
