ELBAND: Smh, I'm surprised you're making this kind of comparison. Kano/Jigawa used to be one state, remember. And Lagos was about equal with Kano in population then. But how do explain the magic that gave Lagos just 1.4million votes while Kano/Jigawa had 3.8 combined? This is a first class act of rigging, and fingers are pointing toward Jega as the mastermind Are you actually dumb or you are trying to act dumb? What's the historical turnout rate for the 2 states? What's the age demographics of these two states? What's the poverty index of the 2 states since you will expect people that are directly affected by government policies to want to have a say in how they are governed Have you considered the fact that people usually migrate during elections? |

CFCfan: The author raised good points about the massive card reader failure and the lopsided distribution of PVCs in the SS and SE, and the bomb scare in Enugu. Who knows, without those problems GEJ may have nicked reelection. Lopsided distribution but they still returned above average % votes per accreditation The two regions were at the forefront of manual accreditation I honestly don't understand why people just can't get the simple fact that GEJ is unpopular and frankly unsaleable It's actually laughable for femi or whatever his name is to conclude that Buhari is unpopular in the SW. Shouldn't he be comparing the total turnout with previous elections to see if the results is/was as a direct result of SW voters growing disillusioned with the candidate GEJ? |

giffty: I agree with you on this but please don't misapprehend my statement....
Back then, the husbands provide for their family,we're living in a different world now, reason why i said she can contribute but as a man you need to do a lot more....
A little puzzle->>If you don't earn much and along the line your wife loses her job,,how do you manage your family?? Back then things were different Inflation wasn't double digits Unemployment wasn't really a factor Women weren't encouraged to be educated so how then would they have the ability to contribute to the household? As for your puzzle, it seems you don't get it do you? The men are not meant to depend on the income of the wife to sustain the household. The women just have to contribute to have a real sense of belonging since everything is "ours" as far as marriages are concerned. |

giffty: okay,so when did providing for the family became the job of a woman I'm not saying she should not contribute financially to her family, but its not her duty.....Lets not go into that please. Backward mindset! Marriage is a partnership and each individual should contribute so they can have equal stake in the marriage What else would you be bringing to the table other than the obvious ish? |
Romance › Re: How Much Should A Man Earn Before Getting Married? by jaybee3(m): 11:20am On Apr 07, 2015 |
Why are you setting him up for failure with this ridiculous prerequisite requirement
“ the man would take up most of the financial responsibilities of the home and probably some from the extended family.”
No amount of money would be enough to satisfy such requirement.
A marriage is not an open ended cheque for leeches to extend her leeching ways to her family.
Lastly, both parties should be ready to contribute to the family since the dividends will be equally shared. |

Im sure they'll rather stay out of jail than refuse to approve his bill. This is democracy dude He didn't appoint them so how can he cut their salary? |

The 30 Million naira quarterly allowance is still used to augment the normal expenses they would have incurred if they weren't senators. I'm sure it's going to be extremly easy for them to fiddle with it since there really isn't any oversight body to audit the largese |

But you swallowed all those promises hook-line-and-sinker during the campaign while heaping insults on GEJ that you and the APC expected miracles from. Bros, tell your Baba to get ready to perform or bug out come 2019. I'm happy for him to be booted out as well if he under performs. Absolutely no point in accepting mediocrity as norm going forward |

UjSizzle: I'm not against what the General's said. He knws the people he's about to govern. Expectations are at an all-time high That's probably why he is asking for realistic expectations so he can over deliver. That's the common sense approach to governance |

@topic. Buhari has just told Nigerians to lower their expectations. Hmmm we are watching. Having realistic expectations is different from lowering expectations |
