Jonathan was kicked out not based on performance but because he is from the minority. Shagari failed the economy in his 1st term but got a second term cos he is a northerner; obasanjo's 1st term was scandalised with so many killings, sectarian crisis and economic hardship and not forgeting infrastructure break down, but yet his people sang the song dat he deserved a second term to write his wrongs, so why won't jonathan deserve a 2nd term, when he has done better than our past leaders ??

The yorubas are traitors who have sold us out to the north, ðεƔ r the judas in our midst. Playing tribal politics and pretending ðεƔ wanted change.

Jonathan's problem started when he insisted on running a 2nd term under PDP. I assure u that despite PDP's ppoor performances, if ðεƔ had fielded a northern candidate, ðεƔ would have won this election.

Finally, this is going to be the new dawn of an era of backward retrogression. The northerners have never being good managers of nigerian economy, and its sad that the parochial greed of the yorubas have blocked their memories from remembering this.

Furthermore, all I know, is that if the interests of the south south and south east are not given a priority in this administration, we will return to the creeks and join hands with our brothers in the niger delta to make this country ungovernable for buhari, ðεƔ made the country ungovernable for jonathan and ðεƔ succeeded, we will return the treatment back to them; we have the weapons, we have the manpower and terrain to support our objectives, and this time the hausa nigerian army will not be spared.

Finally, I will sit on d side lines and watch as event unfolds.

I think he will definitely nick it especially with the fact that APC swept majority of the seats at federal level.

My greatest pain in this election is not about Buhari or Jonathan. My greatest pain is we Igbos. We are the highest loser in this election. We played a very bad politics.

Though I am the only Buhari supporter in my family, I was very happy until my brother who is a lawyer showed me where it is written that once an opposition scores upto 25% votes in the states where his opponent worn, and his opponent in turn does not score upto 25% in the states where he has won, he is declared the winner. What I am saying in essence is, Buhari has done wonderfully well in some states, but Jona got up to 25% vote in those states. But unfortunately, (and praying it will be fortunate soon), Buhari doesn't have up to 25% votes in the states that Jona has won. So, according to the constitution, Jona is the winner for now. But God pass constitution. I need this change badly.

Why would you make such assumptions about the southeast voters? I don't know why it is hard for some of you to believe that there are people who genuinely believe that Jonathan is still the best option for Nigeria going forward without religion or ethnicity being involved. Some people are not averse to change but are put off by the personality and antecedents of Buhari and so did not vote for him.
I am sure if I ask you, you will say all those who voted for Buhari in the core north voted for change and not on ethnic and religious ground. I laugh in Cantonese.
While I personally support Buhari, I don't think one should paint everyone who votes for Jonathan with d ethno-religious card. You are saying Jonathan has failed but not everyone will or jad to share such sentiments.

Why would any sane person vote for continuity when most/all measurable indicators used in guaging quality of life was extremely bad under GEJ?

Hahaha ... As for me my main concern is the fallout after the results in whatever direction it goes. That is where I am a little bit tensed not really about who gets to win or not.

Naija needs to move forward very quickly from this election season. It has caused havoc and put so many things on a stand still. I want to be able to hit the ground running business wise, not dodging bullets and cutlasses due to post election violence.

I pray everyone accepts who ever gets to be the winner.
