A Sharia Court sitting in Rijiyar Zaki area of Kano has sentenced one Mallama Rabi to 30 days community service for abusing and calling her neighbour a “prostitute”, IGBERETV reports.

Judge Halhalatul Khuza’i of the Sharia court found Rabi guilty on Wednesday January 26, and ordered her to sweep the whole of her street for a month.

According to BBC, Rabi who began her community service on Thursday, said that she is satisfied with the judgement.

3. She wanted to gift me with her outfits and accessories for a video afterwards, to return the items. Again I declined

4. She suggested to have a failed suicide attempt because I would run to her rescue again it was unacceptable to me

Our original discussion was to post her adverts for her chocolates brand on my instagram page. Along the line, she wanted me to personally appear in the content on an entirely different product of hers which is her waist bead We both considered it sufficient for the payment made.

Miss jaruma ruined every form of agreement or friendship we had when she falsely said to the general public that I was the cause of a major crisis going on in my family I went ahead to message her to take down the post but she didn’t. Which led to my first debunked statement. It is one thing to Chanel your business and hatred around me but it is another to Chanel your business and hatred to my family.

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated his commitment to deal decisively with the menace of illegal oil bunkering in Rivers State, IGBERETV reports.

The Governor stated this on Thursday January 13, 2022 as he went to illegal refinery sites in Ikwerre and Emuoha Local Government Areas of Rivers State.

The Governor who was appalled at the level of environmental damage and pollution caused by the refineries explained that although activities concerning crude oil and Petroleum products are in the exclusive list and is the responsibility of the Federal Government, he is compelled to act for the safety of Rivers people as the illegal refineries have constituted a serious health risk to his people.

Speaking at an illegal refinery site in Ibaa Community of Emuoha LGA, the Governor said: "The safety of my people is more important to me. You can't be doing this and killing my people, no reasonable Government would allow that."

In his bid to ensure the pepertrators face the wrath of the law, Governor Wike went on to instruct the Attorney-General of Rivers State to retrieve the prosecution of all oil bunkering related cases from the Police and set up an elite prosecution legal team to prosecute bunkering suspects.

Stating that all pepertrators irrespective of status would be brought to book, he called on the Commisioner of Police to immediately arrest some prominent people who were discovered to own and control the illegal refinery business in the area.

Xiaomi Announces Its New Product, CyberDog Robot That Can Recognize Its Owner's Face And Voice

JAKARTA – The Xiaomi CyberDoge robot was announced by the company at the launch of the Mi Mix 4 and Mi Pad 5 smartphones some time ago. CyberDog is the first robot product made by mobile phone manufacturer Xiaomi.

In terms of outward appearance, CyberDog has a resemblance to the Spot robot made by Boston Dynamics. It's just that the robot made by Xiaomi is equipped with the support of the world's smallest artificial intelligence supercomputer, the AI Jeston Xavier NX made by Nvidia.

CyberDog is equipped with 11 sensors throughout its body which include touch and ultrasonic sensors. The robot dog's head is also equipped with a number of cameras, including a panoramic lens, Intel RealSense D450 camera, LIDAR, and GPS. All of that gives CyberDog the ability to interact with the surrounding environment.

The robot is also said to be able to follow its owner and can avoid obstacles thanks to the GPS embedded in it. CyberDog owners can control it via voice commands, remote control, and phone apps.

However, not all Xiaomi phones support the CyberDog robot control feature. A number of smartphones that can support CyberDog are Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, Redmi K40, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro, and the last one is Mi Mix 2S.

In addition, CyberDog is also able to run at a speed of 3.2 meters per second and can do backflips. The robot is equipped with three USB-C ports and one HDMI port which serves to facilitate the connection between the robot and other devices.

It doesn't stop there, the 3 kg robot can also recognize body postures and detect human faces. This ability is thanks to the support of sensors embedded in the robot. This means that CyberDog can recognize its owner even in a crowd.

Launching TheVerge, CyberDog behaves like a pet. The robot can also recognize spoken words and understand commands given to it.

The robot made by Xiaomi is the first phase of an open source project intended for developers. CyberDog can be programmed and modified as per developer requirements. CyberDog is only produced in a limited way, which is only 1,000 units. The robot is sold for 9,999 Yuan (approximately Rp. 22.2 million).

Dangote petroleum refinery has entered its final stage of construction as seen from photos shared online, IGBERETV reports.

The refinery is expected to save Nigeria loads of dollars used in importing fuel.

The Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise (CPPE), an economic advocacy group, has identified Dangote Petroleum Refinery as one of the key expected drivers of growth that would impact positively on the downstream sector of the Nigerian economy in 2022.

Also, Financial Derivatives Company Limited, a financial institution, in its recent Economic Report for 2022, expressed a firm belief that Dangote Refinery would boost the growth of the downstream sector of the economy and enhance petroleum products distribution across Africa.

It was a moment of praises and appreciation to Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at the 2021 End of the year Gburugburu Christmas Empowerment & Sensitization Outreach organized by Rt Hon Paul Nnajiofor Ononenyi the member Representing Nkanu East LGA for his Constituents, IgbereTV reports.

The outreach has been an annual event amongst other Advocacy and social responsibility outreaches sponsored by the able Lawmaker since 2015.

This 2021 outreach took place on the 29th of December 2021 at his Constituency office in Mbulu Owo hosting many beneficiaries such as Widows, Elderly men & women, Organized women groups Adaejemba, Nkanu East Women for Gburugburu, Youths, The Clergy, Support Groups, the Disabled, other indigent and less privileged members of the Society.

Items distributed at the event include Bags of Rice, other Foodstuff, Cash donations, Scholarships, Skill acquisition programmes for the Youths.

Rt. Hon. Nnajiofor also flagged off a Constituency wide Advocacy Campaign against the Sale & Use of Mkpurumiri in Nkanu East LGA. He urged all youths of his Constituency to shun the consumption of the Killer drug, other hard drugs and all activities that portend negative impacts on the Society.

Hon Chief Chinedu Mba who represented the Governor at the event commended Hon. He urged the Lawmaker to sustain the campaign against Mkpurumiri while ensuring that every part of Nkanu East key in and participate in the campaign. He further explained that Hon. Security Operatives Raid Criminal Hideouts In Ibadan, Recover 23 Stolen iPhones (Photo)

The Oyo State Joint- security task force, Operation Burst has recovered some stolen Apple phones from a fleeing suspect at Sabo area, few days to the New Year celebration, IgbereTV reports.

The security outfit said the recovery was made during its raids on black spots and hideouts for criminals in Ibadan on Thursday December 30.

Director General of Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, Operation Burst, Colonel James Oladipo (rtd), confirmed that about twenty-three Apple-phones were recovered from the suspect, who is now at large.

Oladipo said that this was part of Outfit’s efforts to protect lives and property in the state especially during the ‘Ember months’.

“We have been on the trail of criminals who have been terrorising citizens and residents at strategic locations, especially in Sabo area of the state,” he said.

Oladipo therefore called on victims who were recently robbed of their Apple-phones, otherwise known as I-Phones within Ibadan to come forward with proof of ownership, to reclaim them.

The Director General, while assuring the public of the Task force’s immediate response to distress calls, urged them to give useful information that will aid Security Agencies in performing its duties.
