Divorce is undoubtedly becoming normal all over the world as it is in Nigeria. Most times we forget the impact this can have or is having on the society. Just to mention a few.... 1. Divorce have negative effects on the society. 2. Divorce can lead to raising of wayward children who might later become criminals causing havoc in the society. 3. Divorce can lead to spread of diseases, as it's a tender form of prostitution (take it or leave it). 4. Divorce cause madness due to emotional breakdown. And so many others! It is not reasonable to just hook up legally with someone and break up at slightest provocation, it's belittling the magisterial system and degrading the marital system. For divorce to be considered for sanctioning I am proposing that our lawmakers get into the system the following and carve a bill out of it. There must be evidence of 1. Perpetual physical assaults 2. Emotional breakdown (as confirmed by a psychologist) due to maltreatment 3. Tangible evidence of adultery (like video tapes) 4. Minimum of two witnesses to the acts above Also.... 1. There should be reconciliatory period after first hearing with the court ordering each of the couple to play certain roles which should be monitored by a relative or friend of each of the couple for a period of 6 months. 2. Minor issues should not be considered enough reasons for divorce hearing. Issues like quick ejaculation, lack of financial provision, inability to cook good food, and sorts .... Should be attended to by the couple as there are available solutions to them all. Marriage should be backed up by the judicial system in every capacity. People who are not ready to work out a great marital life will be discouraged from marrying (especially some so called celebrities) Proved violation of marital ethics should attract maximum of 2 months jail term with permission to visit spouse once a week. These and many more will give marital life an interesting boost and help give the society good children raised by joint efforts of the father and the mother. You know this can be of great impact! At least 31 people have been killed in a stampede during commemorations for the Shia holy day of Ashura in the Iraqi city of Karbala, officials say. A health ministry spokesman said another 100 people were injured and warned that the death toll could rise. The stampede reportedly occurred when a pilgrim tripped while hundreds of thousands were performing a ritual. Ashura commemorates the martyrdom in battle of the Imam Hussein, a grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, in 680AD. Every year, millions of Shia Muslim pilgrims travel to Karbala for Ashura, which falls on the 10th of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It is marked with mourning rituals and passion plays re-enacting Hussein's martyrdom. To read full article: http://v.duta.us/xAJ_pQEA |
I have hope we will pull through and bounce back better..... Not with this administration though, subsequent ones. We're presently in deeper sh*t than this government can handle. |
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A ADEBOYE during the September Holy Ghost Service, made the statement urging his congregation to leave the job to the government to solve it at the governmental level. He cited an example of when he was a student at the UNN and a riot broke out demanding that non Easterners should leave but were later held up.... He repeatedly urge that the people should not retaliate. He jokingly ended by taking a random vote asking those that agree with him to say "aye" while those that disagree to say "Nil" with the "aye's" having it. |
If the ride was to be for a Pastor now, the internet would have melted, stock market would have crashed..... Freeze is going to a different Heaven ![]() Nice horse though ![]() |
When SALAH is on the pitch, ARSENAL must be the RAM. Barka de SALAH, Arsenal fans! |
How I wish government can carry out their responsibilities promptly and accurately so that those complaining will have nothing to shift blame on... ![]() |
This virus has shamed us many times as a nation. I pray it be gone forever now! |
Being a Nigerian is making me going crazy, I talk alone about the happenings in Nigeria, I always have fear going out every time I remember the situation in the country. The state of affairs of the country is killing me.... I have a strong ambitions to be the President of this Nation one day but I'm very weary and worried that there might not even be a Nigeria to lead that time if things continue like this. But do you think I'm normal, what is happening to me? I'm I being psychologically affected? I have stopped listening to news on radio and TV just to avoid hearing bad news of things going on in the country, yet not working! Somebody help!! |
Banmeallday:Does that mean you don't believe Nigeria can pull through and overcome the present tribal segregation. In my own view, all that is happening now is as a result of bad, selfish, myopic and unpatriotic people occupying the seat of power, if only we can have foresighted people who have the integration of this Nation at heart under a decade everything will turn out very well. I see everything (population, economy, education etc) that we have in this country presently as an advantage for rapid development, but the question is does our leaders see it that way. |
It will be an understatement emphasizing that Nigeria as a country is ladened with problems. However, to solve every problem requires thorough understanding of the cause of the problem. After careful examination, with the hope of finding reasonable solutions that can be suggested to the government, I summarily categorized the cause of the problems facing us into three which are Politics, Policies and the People. In your own view what do you think is wrong with our country.... We can't just be like this in this country. |
He also need to tell us how he managed to keep our debts at N12 trillion for 6 six years. The same debt that rose to N24 trillion 4 years after he left. |
Don't ask me how he was able to manage Nigeria again after these reasons.... Ko? 1. Jonathan went to University and even had a PhD.... He is learned! 2. Jonathan is a man that fear God and knows that even if the people cannot question him, there's someone that can.... God! 3. Jonathan knows that everything always come to an end someday except what you do while you are in power.... 4. Jonathan was not power hungry! 5. Jonathan knows that every individual life is the same thing as his life. 6. Jonathan knows the concept of respect for the rule of law. 7. Jonathan told himself that he was not above the constitution of the nation! These are the major reasons why he was to achieve those things you mentioned above.... Don't ask again... |
Bloggers and mediocrities ![]() Name of the Senator you no mention. The woman you know describe. Anyway the woman filmed it and it's a disgusting thing. |
Referencing the title of the post, I was just thinking about it this morning. The only direction we are heading is a State of Anarchy. It is unfortunate that we are having leaders who are myopic with policies and analogous with development. I'm sha praying that Nigeria will survive all these till I become President, I only trust God and myself to bring orderliness back to Nigeria. I really love Nigeria |
iTearHerToto:Though you being a fool should not be answered, nevertheless I have this to say to you, why don't you keep your foolishness to yourself and stop smearing everywhere with your wretchedness. Ode Oshi |
Things that baffles me in this Busola vs Fatoyinbo 1. According to her, she lived in a duplex as at the time the incident happened. Let's think, Can there be a duplex without fence and gate? Who opened the gate for Fatoyinbo that morning or were there more than one apartment in the house? 2. She said she opened the door and the man just pushed her to the chair and started the rape thing. Let's think, Is Fatoyinbo aware that she's the one coming to open the door? She was home with her sister according to her, therefore any of them could have come to the door. 3. Can a man go to visit a family to check on them and before meeting any other person in the house, grab their daughter and rape her? Please think! 4. She said there was blood, on the chair and her night gown and she stood up fetch water and soap and clean the scene after taking the *Krest*, then she will have to go and clean herself in the bathroom and wash the clothes and her sister in the house was not aware all the while? 5. Let's say the abuse continued from 1999 to 2002 according to her babysitting the baby then, that's like 3 years! 6. Imagine Fatoyinbo a Pastor of over 10, 000 congregations is lying about all these, having known that God is aware of everything and knowing that God's judgement is terrible and yet still refuse to say the truth, don't you think he's in big trouble with God and when you enter trouble with God you know you are finished! These and many more are the things that baffles me about this case. According to the law of Moses on rape, a lady being raped in the city having people around to call but refuses to shout is guilty as the man. According to Criminal Code Acts of Nigeria, a rape can only be judged by tangible evidence or medical report confirming violation or presence of semen belonging to the suspect. After 3 kids from Busola do you think violation can still be detected or semen? According to faith, knowing that God the great judge knows all that transpired and can punish offenders! What is the their fate! Just imagining.... |
I understand your points and language @Op, in court it is not about what you know it is about what you can prove. I wish she has consulted with a sound lawyer before coming out because law is an ass. Anyway, I hope she has tangible evidences. By the way, so there's no constitutional provision for boys and men who were rap*d by women or girls, I'm surprised that is not put into consideration. There's no day egalitarianism will ever work! |
kunleweb:Do you hate Messi this much? I'm not Messi's fan but letting the referee go without query is Injustice to Messi. To me it's like a conspiracy to blacken him out of Ballon D'Or |
CanadaOrBust:Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand, I have always wondered, how US could owe that much. |
Dumb post ![]() |
By the way what is wrong in the drama below: Boy: Sir, you are on my seat. Old man: Oh sorry (Old man back to his seat.) But hypocrites will always be *tonyic* by nature. |
