Even an illiterate knows that the U.S is the so called leader of the "free world", whoever is getting elected directly affects us because that would determine their policies towards us. However, most of you especially Africans are supporting Obama solely because he is black, not because of his policies or anything but because he shares the same skin color with you. I bet if Larry Elder were to run for president and was as succesful as Obama is, you people will vote for him because he is black too. If I thought that Hilary's policies were better than Obama's Id be supportive of her, but she supported the War in Iraq, so I'm leaning towards Obama a little bit,since their stances on the major issues are near identical.

You make no sense whatsoever, matter of fact the reasons you stated above are profoundly stupid. I don't think you fully understand Nigeria's problems or the reasons for splitting. Nigeria has over 300 different ethnic groups, most of them having no linguistic ties to the other, most of them considering themselves a nation within Nigeria. Look at all the countries through history that have split from each other, it is always because of ETHNICITY, why is Kosovo splitting from Serbia? 90percent of Kosovo is ethnic Albanian, Czechoslovakia, The Basques from Spain, Ambazonia, Quebec from Canada all of these are based on Ethnicity and Language. If you don't want Nigeria to split give a valid reason instead of doling out stupid analogies that bear no resemblance to Nigeria's situation.

We Africans need to be more enlightened on several issues concerning our race, the society, and the relationship with others; in otherwords, we need to start being proactive and see that those in diaspora can be of good use to us just as we can be of good use to them. So alot of things need to change like we know too well in the case of Nigeria, including good governance and less traditional bulls, in the continent.

This is one of our problems right here "African". I dont understand why Nigerians need to worry about other Africans on the basis of skin color, sure it might be an American sentiment because it is a melting pot of cultures, thats perfectly understandable. We really need to stop thinking in terms of "black vs white", we need to be thinking more in terms of "Nationality" rather than race. We should first try to get our s**t together rather than worrying about someone elses. I don't think you can just classify all prejudice as baseless though, you have to look at it from the other person's point of view too.
Okay for example lets look at a white dude who has been robbed and bullied solely by people of African descent. Let's say he has been robbed at least thrice by black people, would you say his prejudice is baseless or bad? Okay now child predators and paedophiles, you just know that if they have done it once they are prone to committing the same offense again, would you consider it prejudiced to keep close watch on them and not leaving your kids around them, even though they may not attempt anything bad? IMO I think my perception of Prejudice is bad only when its being directed at me. I think prejudice is just part of being human, just like negative emotions such as jealousy are part of being human.

Does anyone actually believe that "God has a plan for your life"? I've heard this phrase thrown around a lot. Does anyone think life has a purpose? I always notice the same trend or at least the predominance of it: Go to school, meet chick in university, make money, get married, have children, raise children then you die and the circle continues. Seems pretty mundane to me, the insignificance of it all.
