[quote author=NaijaMama post=44990133]I have noticed that local flights don't take off from JFK in New York. Flights can either be gotten from Laguadia or Newark. If that's the case, how do I shuttle arriving in JFK and catching a flight to Houston?
Arrived JFK and took a flight from JFK to Boston |

Please which hospital did you use in Boston and what were the cost like? Hi we used Beverly hospital in Boston, drs fee was 2500 Hospital was 7200, these are after self pay discount Roughly 10k, we were Elpaso bound but my aunty insisted we stay and she took care of the drs fee for us since I said we were on a budget which was the reason for planning to go to elpaso, so she said sincr i would spend about that same 7k by the time i add flght to and fro, accomodation, feeding local transport etc, so i might as well stay in boston and spend d 7k without d other stress, we still have some people with heart of gold, God bless her real good She even organised a baby shower and u need to see gifts |

@deboydebo people have mentioned his grace lodge and intown suites and something about studio 6 U can Google dem and use Google maps to check out which is closest to your hospital, u could also check/search for reviews here and online to help u make your final decision As per payment u might need to contact dem but I think they allow u to pay like $2500 Max upfront den the rest at your first appointment in cash Cheers |

phemie1: So I promised to give a feedback.. I came in through Atl Poe last week using Delta Airline. The officer at the poe asked why im here.. Told him 'Vacation' for about 9weeks. He asked How much I have on me? Asked if im married? Yes! Do I work? Nope, im a housewife for now. . He asked I come with him... took me to another officer, he asked about the same questions.. then he made a call, shortly another officer was there to pick me.. and I was led to the secondary inspection section. The lady there asked if im pregnant.. I told her Yes. Then she asked what I told the officer in here for, told her I told him im on vacation. Then I said.. yes , Vacation but of course series of event would occur during thz vacation, which may include Delivery. Then she smiled , asked if I had spoken witha doctor. I answered positive and Then I tendered documents of conversation I had with my doc and an invoice emailed to me of part payment made already.., she asked for some other documents which I had . Then I got stamped for 6months. I was told to keep all receipts as I may be asked for me on my next visit to us. Lucky you Why did u allow dem to drag the information out of you like u were hiding it POE story nko? |

damidamsel: Hi All, i'll like to get some advise on sending change of intent letter. So this is my scenario.....i got a visit visa on Dec '15 (easy breezy) while i was 5months preggy. I wasn't asked if i was preggy n i didn't declare coz my aim was to use the visa for holiday that December (had not done any birthing research) and i was more worried abt getting the visa than abt d pregnancy coz i was a potential immigrant also having family as citizen n LPRs over there and having lived there also for 4yrs on student visa.....Long story short, i got the visa and went on a 2weeks trip in Dec. POE was also easy breezy, no questions asked abt being preggy. Was stamped in for 6months which i could have stayed back to have my baby but decided otherwise as that wasn't d purpose of my trip. Family convinced me to come bk and birth so i got all necessary info from doctor and hospital. Planning to return in March as EDD is april, in your opinion, do i need to send a change of intent letter? Notification of Intent You're notifying dem of your intention |

DETAILED INFO ON EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT (ETC) Emergency Travel Certificate is $270 Add $20 for post office or $30 for Fedex. She needs 2 passport photos of baby, Copy of parent's Nig. passports (data page), Birth certificate (copy), Itinerary and Letter of consent for ETC, which should be addressed to The Consular Officer, Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC 20008 Sample Letter : Dear Sir, We the parents of ...wish to apply for Emergency Travel Certificate for him/her to enable us take him to Nigeria. Due to logistics reasons we are unable to process a Nig passport at this time. Thank you for your assistance. Yours truly, (sign and also write your full name. Spouse to sign too). Either Mail package and money order to her: . Or scan the picture and the documents and email them to her and pay the fee into her Bank of America account. It's easier and faster to send as email You can just use your phone to snap all the documents and d baby's passport foto and use your phone to send as an email An advantage of this is etc can be processing while d passport hasn't even come. So if peradventure u have only one copy of BC snap it before sending it for passport processing |

mymy2015: @jayjay4lyf, I think I have go this consent thingy all mixed up. I got directions to the form on this forum. I thought any notary public can sign it. Pls how do I go abt it? Which one is embassy notary? There's a notary public in d US embassy who notaries documents to be used in d US. The summary is some states in d US don't accept all notaries, while all states accept the one from the US embassy. So its either you're sure d state you're birthing accepts from any notary or u just do d embassy own which is accepted everywhere, |

ozycy: Since she v had her baby, feel free to input every date. You still have to book appointment with the US notary public. You can as well choose the same date ur interview is scheduled for if it's available. If you get your visa and will be traveling soon, there may not be any need for the form, unless you want her to get every doc ready before you arrive. @vikto1u actually don't need an appointment for the embassy notary, u just walk in seat and wait your turn But u need to be there between 7:30am- 11am Mon -Thurs U need to have filled d form too, take a copy of your passport data page, but remember not to sign, u need to sign in front of d notary public |

isysleek: Refund with arik? Hmmnn..its best you just manage to fly back with them cos the refund amt will b less than N30k.
I used them when I went to give birth. On my return, wanted to change to Virgin so I asked for a refund. They said since its voluntary, then they will charge for it and also take out taxes. When I asked how much I wil get,it was like N20 somthng and virgin ticket was like N500k. I just closed my eye and flew back with arik o and swore never to fly them again both local and int'l.
