Hey, please can I send you a PM.

uote author=afrobrown2000 post=66537840]dear NL,
my dear wife just came back from her missionary trip a week ago with my LO did notarized doc at no cost ($50 waiver was applied) did VOA at $190 went to the airport with $200 paid for her on arrival to my surprise they gave me $10 change
Delivery was at baylor Scott and white Whiterock dallas heard the name just changed....via CS by Dr Esebede

all bills paid except pediatrics

hospital $4300
Dr $2800
lab $230
Anesthesiologist $1000
pathology $104 (discounted $30)

pediatrics $1610 (discounted to $1104)

thats where the problem is had a set of twins in 2015 who had a normal newborn bill of $312 each totaling $624 same hospital how come for my LO it came to this price $1104

so i decided to call them myself on friday and noticed this bill came from a clinic called Pediatrix nothing changed...then i remembered a discussion about them earlier on this tread which i felt they wouldnt be the ones handling my LO delivery..
they have a healthy baby package which is to be paid before delivery and that is supposed to cost $675....will call on monday and see if i could still get the package

pls for those that haven't delivered you might also try and find out about this information to avoid unnecessary cost ...thanks

In 2016 I actually wanted to give birth to my first child in Canada but somehow they denied me visa.My friend studying at that time gave me an invite they had their list of reasons which I can't remember and no access to the page cos it is now closed. My application was March 2016 without US visa. I finally got US that same March so I had my LO June 2016 in US. I also have a valid visa cos I did dropbox April 2018 renewed with out any issue. But I want to reapply with out any invite for Tourism and Childbirth I intend to declare. I am due in May. Please any tips/hints and information will be appreciated. @justwise @hotstepper please guide me

Please could you share your budget sheet with me.

JMarines:

The VO requested for:
Bank statement, zero balances from the different service providers as well as itemized bills and receipts, Doctors’ appointment and prepayment, budget sheet, Dr’s correspondence, etc.
This is all I can remember.
Just go with all documents. It is better to be over prepared.
I wish you great success in your forthcoming interview.

Good Evening please share your hospital and Dr's details you used in applying with me.

I have been a silent reader of this page, applied for US visa but was denied based on the last bill I received after I had my princess in 2015. I reluctantly applied for TRV, submitted on the 26th, biometric message received on the 27th , biometrics done on the 29th. Visa approved today, 14th February. I am heading to Edmonton by first week for in March.
Don’t know about VOs but I used Houston POE 3 years ago and 2 officers made very sarcastic comments about Dr F. They know him, they know about this board too. My personal feeling is that using Dr F. is not a plus, au contraire

I also used Houston POE and Dr F in 2016. And yes they knew him although no sarcastic comment, I noticed they were familiar with his terms and conditions, so it is easy to caught you if you lied. They also had his numbers

I agree but if you argue too much with them, they will also get offended.

Both category of patients are billed say $22,000, but the self-pay is given a discount of roughly 75%. That $22,000 still appears on the bill for the self-pay patient making it look ridiculous.

I understand that you've said that the insurance companies dont even pay the $22,000 that they are billed but only a fraction. However the US govt doesn't believe that we the self-pay are entitled to same fractional payment. Maybe because most of the insured are on a longer term contribution to the economy of the US than the short term visitors.

I've told you before that the highest I got for using a type of medical service in the US was 50% for paying cash. Applying 50% to a bill of $22,000 would bring the cost of birthing to $11,000. This has been the average "LET MY PEOPLE GO" mark for Visa officers.

I commend health care providers that are ready to give the non-discounted package to patients who request for it. I would have said a 25% discount was okay but I think the US is ramping up for full payment in the long run.
Please didn't they respond to letter of intent quote author=Ama85 post=75036323]I have been following this trend recently and would want to share experience
- Had B1/B2 before now (though a frequent traveller) but when God answered us and I conceived, we agreed to have our child in the USA.

- I sent a change of intent letter
- Travelled with Virgin Atlantic 22/01/19 and landed at JFK this morning.
- Below is my POE experience
* Did the self service stuff and got an X afterwards oooo ( that got me scared)
* Headed to the CBP Officer who only asked me 3 questions;
CBP Officer : What are you here for?
Me: I am here for tourism and to give birth to my child
CBP Officer: Where will you stay?
Me: Hotel...gave the address
CBP Officer How long are you here for?
Me: I am here for 9weeks and 6days.
The correct guy took my biometrics and stamped me in for 6months and wished me a safe delivery
I headed to get My bags, custom did not even check my bag upon all the orishirishi I declared. God just had mercy on me. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and contributions. I will come back to share the complete testimony when LO arrives

@damsell I readed your response and have some questions. In 2016, I applied for Canadian Visa but got denied. That was before I got USA visa B1/B2 for birthing purpose cause I declared. I had my LO in June 2016 and I have successfully renewed my visa last year April. Can I also reapply for Canadian (visiting visa) and state the purpose in others as Birthing should I include my daughter in my application, I don't think I should add DH since he is currently trying to renew is US visa
Please what do you think

Hi, Please did you get a good hospital in Dallas. Can you share details with me

quote author=debopopson post=71867909]Hello House,
Good job going on here...I have been getting quotes from hospitals and surprisingly I don't seem to get anything close to the amounts mentioned here...e.g. oakbend sent me a quote of 5,450usd, JPS Network in Dallas forthworth sent an hospital bill of 9,000usd, Emory hospital, GA sent a bill of 9,888usd (all inclusive), etc

on Instagram I see people offering ridiculous offers in different states and they will tell u that payment will be made to the hospital and it sounds real.

I try to look for such discounts. ..where do I see them??
Hi.

So you are saying me and LO don enter trouble. I actually bought United Airline but We learnt they are moving us to Lufthansa cos they are stopping by Jume 30.

What of their luggage allowance for LO is it 23kg or 46kg. I really need to know.

Please assist

quote author=jinglesbaby post=46689795]Try flying Lufthansa, then you will know what strict really is. Flew them a second time and they told me that my hand luggage was too big for their 'danfo-bus-type-waste-basket' specification. They refused to check me in! 30mins to departure, I found a cleaner with transparent bin bag after running around the airport looking for an alternative. I emptied the suitcase (with all my underwear)into the transparent bin-bag (imagine the stares I got from pple around!) and squeezed it into their 'basket scale for hand luggage' before they checked me in. I had barely left the check-in desk when I heard my name being announced to hurry up to the gate cos the gate was about to close! My dear, I carried my bin-bag on my head like those 'agege bread hawkers' and started running to the gate o!
Thank goodness I made it! Infact, I was the last to board the plane. Supervisor at the boarding gate had to beg security to just let me get on because she saw that they wanted to start harassing me about my bin bag not meeting the specs again!

For the return leg, I wanted to change the date but Lufthansa said it was non-flexible and even non-refundable! I had to fly Emirates which was absolutely superb to and fro! I travelled on the double-decker plane from DXB to my destination and back to DXB!
NEVER PATRONISING LUFTHANSA AGAIN! NEVER AND I WOULD NOT ENCOURAGE MY ENEMY TO EVEN PATRONISE THEM!

I asked for extra food on the Frankfurt to LOS leg to make up for the early am trouble. Apart from the extra food, another good thing is the short travelling time.

Will try it out myself

Money order instructions:
According to the website:
1. Note down the "Serial Number" (as shown by red circle in the sample image ) and provide that to us with other requested information after you hit the proceed button below. We’ll send you a confirmation email stating that your order number & tracking number is associated with a money order serial number. This email doesn’t mean that your application is paid yet.
Mail the filled in Money Order via a traceable courier service (such as Fedex, UPS and DHL): Address is provided on the page at this stage

2. Once we receive your money order, we’ll confirm the receipt via another email to you stating that your payment has been received and you can proceed to submit your Visa/Passport application"

Now, Mail your application: forms, you and your hubby's Naija passport data page, letter of consent, copy of flight itinerary or ticket as the case may be, money orders (for the expedited fee and additional separate $30 money order), then prepaid self-addressed express delivery envelope
Note:
I applied for my baby's on a Tues and got it back on Fri.
Avoid the embassies where these agents work, cos your application will be under the pile.
From reviews, use Washington DC and NY
Times are hard, let's not waste money on what we can do ourselves.
Note that weekends and holidays will increase processing times, even if you expedite the processing

Hi,
I am a new convert, and I am still pained didn't get to hook on before I made all my decisions, my due date is July and I booked my return ticket for exactly one month after - united airline. Now united airline is cancelling their Nigeria route by end of june, after I paid all my money for direct flight £1531 (sis had to pay from UK). Intend to change my travel date since 1 month may not be enough. United airline says it will cost $2500 to change.

Good people
1. Is/has anybody used Chi St Luke hospital Sugarland Houston
2. how long will it take me to get the SSN and US passport
3. how long will it take to get Nigeria passport
4. Nigeria passport and ETD which will be faster for me since I av just one month for every thing
5. Can anyone help me with Madam Stella or Tanko numbers or contact.

I urgently need answers before LO arrives.

thank you

customised87:

A. Yes it matters. You can buy a money order and send to innovate instead of using ur card .
B. it could take from 2-3weeks
C. No, they dont usually pick up.

Thats why you shouldnt do it yourself if you dont have lots of time. I did my baby's own myself cos i stayed more tha 6 weeks in the US after giving birth but I wouldnt ever try it again cos i dont intend staying up to that amount of time for subsequent missionary journeys
