Yessss! I'm waiting OMG! This is the same feeling I had when waiting for MaziOmenuko to post on his story thread then. Gaby this stage is yours ![]() |
Justwise, if you follow Gaby's story you will get the impression that travelling to Europe as an illegal immigrant is not only dangerous but wasteful. Gaby has clearly been dissuading readers from taking that path. His story will do more of that in a captivating and entertaining way and as a result reach more young people who will learn valuable lessons. Allow Gaby please. Gaby, may I suggest a title; "In Search of Eldorado: My Journey for a better life in Europe". Just a suggestion. |

A stem of this plant was given to me by a nurse in a teaching hospital. The extract is dark red or purple in colour. It saved my life.I really wish I could get my hands on this. I have been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for years now and the condition has hindered me from living. It's unfortunate that the original poster deleted his account. Anyone who can help identify this plant? Cc: gawab |
Queenlovely:Queenlovely, mention me when you start this. I am interested. |

Tell me another lie. |
sarrki:Are you for real Sarrki? So you mean the status quo should continue? Thecassanova just made good sense and the above is what you have to say. Good grief! I love Nigeria deeply but the future for youths in this country is bleak. Wake up Sarrki, politicians don't have have any good plans for us. |
MEILYN:Mail sent. Eagerly waiting. |
MEILYN:Meilyn please help. My situation is similar to yours. Being treating Typhoid fever for months now. Gone to hospitals for treatment yet no cure. Spent thousands already, no respite. Deeply depressed now. Help me with the woman's contact or address please. You will be saving a life. And out of curiosity what was your ailment then? PLEASE MEILYN. |
@Knuckbuck: I hope things are better between you and your wife ![]() |
youngest85:Give and take? |
Something must give. We can't continue in this stagnancy and backwardness. What next? I ask again: What next? |
Its about time already. Now the youths need to come together and build the Nigeria we want. The world has left us so behind in development and with the recent advances in technology we are about to be abandoned in a new stone age. WE NEED TO WAKE UP. The elites have proven all to be the same. They desire power for power sake. They don't demand power to improve our lot. No! They don't really care about us. Ask the average Nigerian politician how to generate revenue and developing human capital is the last thing they mention. We have been hearing "E go better" for too long. Ask the Nigerian politician 'HOW' e go better and watch them say the same thing they have been saying for decades. We need new ideas people. We need to come together for our today and tomorrow. We have been doing the same thing every time, repeating the same mistakes and the circle goes on. We must break this circle. |

Hmmmm.... The 1990s. ..........the video player(vcr) and cassettes, the video games(Sega, Nintendo etc), Sony Bass Boost sound system and not to forget the crushing military rule in Nigeria then. What a time. I guess the cliche then will be "E go better". Well e still never better. Na the same rechargeable lamp technology we still dey use when power company (aka Nepa) do their usual business.

sukkot:Naaaah. Shymmex doesn't even know I exist. He can be a bit touchy.... Scratch that... He can be VERY touchy but you got to give it to him: he is an enlightened person. And I loved the manner you comported yourself when he was going all gangster on you on a past thread. Yeah bro. Naija spirit. May God deliver us from our leaders though. They love pulling the nation down. |
sukkot:Sukkot you should have seen him. God! Guns blazing, taking no prisoners, shooting crazy! It was like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I wanted to save some good folks on that thread but I remembered the thread he was threatening to sort you out because of your joke about the recharge card and him being sensitive. Damn! I just watch him 'massacre' my peeps. Throwing insults but mixed with good knowledge of the subject matter. Hurricane Shymmex wrecking through. You have to give it to him though : he knows his stuff. Pretty intelligent, as long as you don't cross your limits. All hail Shymmex. The very good badt guy. Sukkot you've not been to Naija this year? |
sukkot:Sukkot hope you're in touch with your pal Shymmex .That man is a force to reckon with. He totally "murdered" some folks on Nairaland recently on a defence thread. |
@ Tearoses and Thorpido; I am glad seeing the valuable insight you both are adding to this discourse. God bless you guys. @ Knuckbuck: the two posters know their onions when it comes to issues like these. I hope their contributions help you. Hold on bro. I feel your pain. |
@Knuckbuck JaySea: |
obiorathesubtle:What you stated above is deep. I have to mine it further for its wisdom. |
obiorathesubtle:Bro I believe you are not a regular person but someone with good intelligence. I delightfully welcome your opinion and every other different opinions. I just want the OP, Knuckbuck, to get a solution to his predicament. |
obiorathesubtle:I giggled while reading this. Not because I find it inconsequential. Not at all. Every point of view is valuable. But because it...heck I don't why I giggled, but it came across with a tinge of comic weight. Sorry bro... (clears throat) back to the issue. Obiorathesubtle first off you and I cannot be 100% certain that the MIL is the root cause of the wife's demand for divorce. There may be some crucial facts we may not know yet. We are only making assumptions based on the information Knuckbuck revealed. Secondly, there are many ways of getting rid of perceived enemies. Your suggestion is just one of them. (and so is mine, fortunately). Thirdly, we need to accommodate Knuckbuck's personal values in the solutions we proffer. If they are not acceptable to him I advise he ignores them (even if they are my own suggestions.) Personally, I believe if you are attacked physically you have every right to defend yourself physically. But the situation for you becomes dicy when you feel under attack but you don't know from which direction or form the attack is coming from. |
knuckbuck:I understand Obiorathesubtle's point of view. I am assuming he has had a lot of experiences with people whom you seem not to have offended but who wants to cut you down. |
knuckbuck:Knuckbuck I want to be certain of some facts before jumping to any baseless conclusion : Are you sure your wife was not like this before meeting her mother? Are you sure this was not her character initially? The reason why I am asking is because my suggestion(s) may be worthless if she is just a woman with a strong western feminist mindset - the type that believes she is lord-and-commander of her world because "daddy western government" has liberally tilted the legal system in her favour. If this is the case then I may not be of much help as I will interprete the issue to be a character-rooted one. One needs to avoid attacking a false cause. I am being cautious. |
obiorathesubtle:When a Lion loses the ability to hunt with its teeth it loses its ability to survive. It even gets ejected as the head of it pride and usually dies after. Obiora you want the threat posed by the MIL to be eliminated. I want that too. Our ways of achieving that is just different. What if there is a way to resolve this issue without expending valuable effort, energy and our moral values by killing another human being; doesn't logic dictates that we take that path Obiorathesubtle? (Destroy your enemy's attack capability and they may as well be powerless over you). |
@ knuckbuck: Bro I feel your concern. The thought of your kids turning out the way you strongly abhor is driving your decisions so far. And not to talk of the amount of effort, time and resources that will be lost if the divorce goes through - the western world is very different from Nigeria (the woman gets to keep almost everything). From what you've mentioned so far I have extracted these points: - the wife was a good person until she reunited with her mum. - the MIL made it clear she was after some benefits from you and/or her daughter ( her wanting to travel to the US seems to be her driving motivation; even when it is desirable that her own sons go there in her stead). -your wife came to Nigeria to see her mum and she came back with some fetish juju-like objects from a so-called pastor her mum introduced her to. My conclusion from above is that your wife is being hoodwinked by her mother. God knows I am not religious but I understand the environment I live in and what people can do when they are desperate to get whatever they desire without being guided by humanist values. You MIL is diabolical (in this context, someone who will use juju powers to get what she wants). She wants to control her daughter so that she can get some benefits from you two. If your wife was previously not like this before their reunion then she is NOT the enemy here. You MIL is. Now to solutions: there are many ways to skin this cat. Obiorathesubtle has given one, which appears extreme, but nevertheless contains a valuable essence. Which is the need to break her hold on her daughter. Obiorathesubtle suggested you eliminate the MIL, I say just destroy her negative influence over her daughter; eliminating the MIL should not be considered. Now before I continue I need to ask: are you religious or not? And if you are; Christian, Muslim or otherwise? (Your religious belief will determine the kind of solutions I will suggest. And once again I want to state that I myself am not religious; I only know the nature of people in this part of the world) You marriage is worth saving. Don't give up yet. Your wife is not the enemy. |
