This militants will disappeared as soon as Buhari takes over mark this words, unfortunately he will not rule. But GEJ will suffer the next years of his even if he still in Power
I pray that GEJ wins to avoid trouble. Buhari is already seen by majority of niger delta people to be an ethnic bigot who during his chairmanship of petroleum trust fund sited 80% of projects in the North even when 100% of the resources came from the Niger delta. They will not negotiate with Buhari, he is no Yar'adua who was a nationalist to the core.

If the Nigerian and American military pounce on them, the war will not last more than one week. Boko Haram persisted because the present Government was using it as a political tool not knowing it was to their disadvantage.
You are living in Denial you don't know what guerrilla war fare is about, where you cant differentiate between the civilians and the militant. You seem to exaggerate the strength of the US military they've been bogged down in Iraq for almost a decade now an irAQ IS STILL IN crisis as we speak, how about Afghanistan, Libya, etc where the US armed forces are unable to quell the crisis and those countries do not even have 1/2 the population of Nigeria to manage.

Nigeria should try and save themselves by giving Jonathan a second term to avoid crisis in the delta in addition to the Boko haram crisis.

Nobody is voting Jonathan out , GEJ will win. But if there is rigging up North or any funny business that seeks to rigout jonathan then the Niger delta will boil and it wont be pretty.

..and why are you so confident that the south will go haywire? What if the allocation they have always cried for is given to them? What if all the major oil and gas players leave the region and move elsewhere or totally leave the country?

You should not speak so assuredly. You cannot even see past your nose. And should it turn out as you have written, it is definitely still a change from the stagnant, stale Istatus-quo we've been stuck in all these while.
Its only the blind that cannot see what the joint meeting between niger delta ex militants, Massop and OPC is about. That's the complete fusion of all the militants gps in SW,SE and SS. They are planning to balance the threat of the northern radicals if there is any real or precieved injustice in this election Nigeria will boil either way, i prefer that Niger delta do not boil because of its strategic impotence to Nigeria. The north is already at war we can handle the war in the north as our military is beginning to but if the delta boils there will be no Nigeria.

Guy, you no dey tire with this ur dooms day prophesy?

If GEJ wins so people from the North or South-West should take up arms too?

If GEJ doesn't win, Nigeria will not break nor will there be chaos
The north are already fighting Jonathan since he became president via boko haram, while boko haram was raging Nigeria became the biggest economy in Africa because the north east is economic liliput.
When niger delta which is the economic powerhouse of Nigeria boils in the event of a jonathan loss all of us will starve and we will all regrate antagonizing the delta,4yrs is nothing if we can all leave in peace, let Gej complete his second term and then the north can do their own term so peace can reign and Nigeria survive .
The Niger Delta boys are no joke they can paralyze Nigeria and they have done it before.

Do you mind telling us the closest a Niger Deltan has come close to power prior to Obasanjo? It was easier for Yaradua to deal with because GEJ his deputy at that time had to go to the creeks himself to create the in- roads and GEJ literally made the amnesty programme a reality.

Today you want to kick GEJ out and the objective Nigerians have asked why? Who has performed better than him and what are the evidences?

If GEJ was a northerner, his performance would have been rated at par with Obama by the tribalistic Sai Buhari crew..... but No, he has to go despite the massives road and bridges, the new universities and alamajiri schools, the rails and agriculture, the Sure P and You win, the automobile and fertilizer schemes, the free and fair elections, making Nigeria's economy the best, attracting the highest FDI to the economy, freedom of presss, privatizing the power sector, dealt with perennial fuel scarcity. ....... the list is endless

Yet he has to go because he is from a minority.
Just be aware that the creeks are watching, just know that if GEJ is persecuted out of office like you lot are currently doing........ NO INROADS CAN BE CREATED ANYMORE. THIS IS REALITY IN YOUR FACE.
You are very right in your assessment. Niger Delta crisis is unavoidable if Buhari wins. It Will bebe the end of Nigeria as we know it. I hope. Gej wins to avoid economic doom to Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Victor Attah And Don Etiebet Defects To APC With 50,000 Supporters! by jazzydee: 8:18pm On Mar 21, 2015
Shocker: Attah, Etiebet finally more against President Jonathan

In what appears to be a tactical move to ditch President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, two members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Arc. Victor Attah and Atuekong Don Etiebet have declared for the opposition All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State.
The duo made the switch during a rally held by the Campaign Organization of the APC Governorship Candidate Obong Umana Okon Umana held at the Ibibio Park grounds in Uyo Capital city, on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
The defection of the PDP chieftains however did not come as a surprise to pundits, as both men(Attah/Etiebet), have been hobnobbing with the opposition for sometime now and ave been openly engaged in anti party activities in the build-up to the 2015 General Elections, following their grudge over the defeat of their preferred Governorship aspirants by the PDP Standard Bearer, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel at the December 8, 2014 Primaries held at the Nest of Champions.
At the APC rally, Obong Attah and Etiebet respectively, raised the hands of Obong Umana and stated that, they are no longer interested in the Party, PDP and her candidate, but have found an alternative in the opposition party.
Commenting on the development, a public affairs analyst, Mr Ifiok Anderson, dismissed the move as another futile journey to nowhere. Mr Anderson recalled that, earlier in 2011, Obong Attah had similarly raised the hands of the then Governorship Candidate of the opposition, Action Congress of Nigeria, now defunct, Senator John Akpan Udoedehe, but that did not change the fortunes of the latter, as he was roundly defeated by the incumbent, Governor Akpabio in the 2011 Governorship polls. Mr Anderson argued that, Attah had allowed his morbid hatred for his successor to blind him, even into joining forces with his erstwhile, Commissioner of Finance, Obong Umana Okon Umana who betrayed him.
He however added that, the people of Akwa Ibom will make their choice on who should govern them.

The Arochukwu case isn't the same as those Ndoki Igbo communities, for they are Igbo speaking, and not Annang speaking, they only speak Annang as a second language.
Are you from Ndoki?

Don't say what you don't know. We have indigenous Ndoki Igbo towns that was carved into the defunct South Eastern state, now Akwa ibom state, after the war. Ohaobu is one of those Ndoki Igbo towns, and no, they are not bilingual natively, they are native Ndoki Igbo speakers, but some of them are fluent in Ibibio because they have Ibibio neighbours.
All Akwa Ibom towns in the border with Abia State are bilingual same goes for the border towns in Abia state with akwa ibom. Dont be confused by the language dexterity of the dwellers of those border towns.

Itu and Uruan LGA which borders Calabar in Cross river state have predominant Efik Speakers, that doesn't make them Efik People even though their language of choice is Efik. They are ibibio people to the core.

Akpabuyo, Odukpani etc is inhabited with Ibibio speakers and ancestral ibibio people but they are in cross river state and most will deny their ibibio ancestry even though their language of choice is Ibibio and they all bear ibibio names.
My point is that people at borders be it state or nation have a lot of similarities with their neighbours.

Mkpukpuagu, Ogbuagu and Ohaobu are Ndoki Igbo groups that were put in Akwa ibom state after the war. Ndoki land was balkanized after the war by Igbo enemies, in bid to deprive East central state of any oil bearing land, the non oil producing part of Ndoki was left in current Abia state, the oil producing parts were splits into two, one part in Oyigbo LGA of Rivers state which they share with Asa people, another balkanized Igbo group, the second part is in Ukanafun LGA in Akwa ibom state, where they are minorities to the Ananng.

theinknewspaper..com/2014/08/aksg-to-commence-free-education-at.html
Do you also know that there are many indigenous Ibibio people in abia state who speak ibibio, bear ibibio names their towns and villages have ibibio names and have ibibio ancestry? The present day arochukwu and all its people have ibibio blood flowing in them and are of ibibio ancestry.
Akwa Ibom people don't go around claiming Arochukwu as theirs even though every arochukwu man and women Know of a fact that they are indigenous ibibio people.

Since there are ibibio speaking communities and people of ibibio ancestry in Abia State, may be Ibibios should claim Arochukwu, and all ibibio speaking communities in Abia State as their land following your logic!

For your information there is no oil producing area in Ukanafun or any local government in ikot ekpene senatorial district in which your imaginary igbo people of Ukanafun belong.

There is no such thing as south south in geographical cardinal points. Only in the demented minds of nigerian "elites" would such terms get coined up to divide Igbo people. I went to Akwa Ibom the other day and was surprised to see Igbo communities speaking Igbo like me and telling me they are south south.

Look at google map of akwa ibom. You'll see "Nwaigwe", "Obete Ukwu" and other Igbo towns.
I just wish this Ohaneze will unite all Igbos only under one state and start fighting for real autonomy.
Stop lying the only people in Akwa Ibom who speak Igbo besides igbo people that reside in Akwa Ibom are those in Akwa Ibom villages that border igboland in Abia State. And the Igbo villages in the border towns of Akwa Ibom Also all speak Ibibio fluently, those people are bilingual as is common with any border towns/villages.

Akwa Ibom people have their own distinct language the most widely spoken being Ibibio, others languages in Akwa Ibom Include Annang,Oro,Ekid, obolo,Efik etc. Igbo is not one of them
PoliticsRe: Why Is South-south Often Referred To As 'the East'? by jazzydee: 10:12pm On Mar 14, 2015
The present South east states (Igboland) Should be called South Central
The Present South South States (Southern minorities) Should be called South East.
The present South West States (yorubaland) Should retain its name South West.

This will balance all controversies like we have in the North.
