Politics / FFK Among The Negotiators For Ending The Food Strike After Saying The Will Block by jbbalarabe(m): 12:31pm On Mar 04, 2021
Over the last three days His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state presided over a series of crucial meetings on the food embargo against the South with Alhaji Muhammed Tahir (the President of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria and their Chairmen from all the 36 states and the FCT), Dr. Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu (the President of the Northern Consensus Movement), Alhaji Abdullahi Mai Agogo (Sarkin Yaki Buhari), Alhaji Nasura Ashir Sharif and I.

We worked extremely hard and well into the early hours of each of the mornings on the assignment given to us. In the end we give thanks to God that we achieved all our objectives.

Amongst them were the facts that we averted a major crisis, we ensured there were no reprisal killings of southerners in the north after the Shasha killings, we ensured that there was no tribal war, we ensured that the food embargo placed on the South by the Union was lifted, we stabilised a very tense and dangerous situation which had the potential of tearing our nation apart in a very violent way and we brought peace and unity to the country.

To round it all up we held a press conference at Kogi State Government Lodge in Abuja yesterday afternoon and another later in the evening at the Presidential Villa after having a fruitful and productive meeting with Professor Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

I commend and acknowledge the contribution, efforts, input and commitment of Chief Sunday Adeyemo (AKA Sunday Igboho Osha) and other key non-state actors to the peace process and the successful resolution of this crisis. Without them we could not have succeeded.

I also acknowledge the efforts, support and input of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state and some of the other South West Governors in the negotiations and process.

Once again the Lord brought Nigeria back from the brink.

This is what happens when we come together, dialogue, understand one anothers problems, unite, build bridges and work across regional, ethnic, religious and party lines.

Thanks be to God.

Health / Why Covid 19 Spares The Poor In Africa. by jbbalarabe(m): 12:53pm On Jan 13, 2021
WHY COVID 19 SPARES THE POOR.

Have you been wondering why ordinary folks seem to be less affected by covid 19?
Whenever my drivers, house helps and security come back from their leave at home, I always asked them the state of things in their villages. Up till today in the last 1year, none has come back with any news of deaths or serious illnesses requiring hospitalization in their homes or surroundings.
I visited the SABO market in Sagamu and the tomato market at toll gate in ogere. I questioned many traders if any stall or store owners have been missing, or did not come to the market or have actually died. Responses were always negative.
So clearly the prevalence of noticeable infection with covid 19 is less among the lower class and fatalities appear to be higher among the upper class. However, It is necessary to make some adjustment for the fact that deaths among the elite class readily get media attention than those of regular folks.
Melinder gates prediction failed woefully because there was no way she could have foreseen this demographic prevalence factor in the spread of covid19.
The overall infectivity and fatalities in the africa is disproportionately much lower than the rest of the World!!!

WHAT IS THE MAGIC HERE.?
Simply put, the magic is SUNLIGHT.
People who are daily exposed to sunlight are able to convert some chemicals in their skins to vitamin D, especially D3.
Scientist have incontrovertible evidence that VitaminD seriously boost the human immunity and actually have capacity to prevent respiratory and lung diseases.
In the case of Covid19, vitaminD3 can prevent infection in some people and in others who still get infected , it decreases the severity of the infection and recovery rate is far better.
Recently a petition signed by 120 physicians spread across the globe, (I have a copy) has been sent to world leaders and governments to treat vitamin D deficiency common in europe and Americas, who have effective sunlight for just a few months in a year and hence have large numbers of the populace suffering from vitamins deficiency leading to high rates of susceptibility to covid19 infections and deaths.
Many of us elites in africa are also vitaminD deficient and this makes us ready targets for covid19 infections also. This is because we are hardly in the sun all year round.
Yet a 30mins lounge daily in the bright sunlight gives one about 20,000 iu of vitamin D in our blood. This figure is much much more higher than our daily requirement of which is about 4000 iu of vitamin D.
This is why young people, students, hawkers, traders and many who toil daily under the Sun have very high immunity against covid19.
So my dear elders, VIPs and Ogas please walk leisurely or lounge in the sun for 20 to 30mins daily, and with your face masks always on on public and observing normal covid protocols, with daily supplications to the Almighty, you will place a Ban on covid 19 from affecting you and your household.
God bless you all

Religion / Longest-reigned Sultan In Modern History by jbbalarabe(m): 7:53pm On Dec 11, 2020
LONGEST-REIGNED SULTAN IN MODERN HISTORY

Sir Siddiq Abubakar III (1903–1988) was a Nigerian Muslim leader who ruled as the Sultan of Sokoto from 1938 to 1988.

He was born at Dange, on March 15, 1903, the same day the British finally subdued the Sokoto Caliphate. He was a son of Usman Shehu, grandson of Mu'azu, direct descendant of Uthman Dan Fodio.

Abubakar had Islamic Education. He held several administrative posts before succeeding his uncle, Hassan Ibn Muazu, at the age of 35.

In 1938, he was appointed a local authority councillor of the Sokoto Native Administration (Head of Talata Mafara).

He distinguished himself by his administrative competence and the able way he dealt with appeals from traditional courts and supervised district and village heads. He was a Sardauna of Sokoto until June 17, 1938, when he became Sultan Abubakar III.

As the 17th Sultan of Sokoto and Sarkin Musulumi, he became the most important Islamic personality south of the Sahara, and highly respected. He was the leader of 50 million adherents of the Islamic faith in West Africa.

He was knighted by the British in 1944, and after Nigeria attained independence, he was made Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) by the Federal Government.

He ruled the emirate for one of the longest reigns in its history, from June 17, 1938, to November 1, 1988, when he died, having celebrated only four months earlier his 50th year on the throne.

Abubakar left behind 52 children and 320 direct grandchildren. #HistoryVille

Culture / The Relevance Of Hausa Language In International World by jbbalarabe(m): 1:07pm On Dec 11, 2020
*The relevance of hausa as a language in international Media*

Hausa language one of the fastest growing languages in the world, is understood by many speakers in many African Nations ,the language is a pride to the hausa people and a gift to them by God,
its ease of comprehension, the acceptability and peace loving nature of the hausa people makes it easy for the language to grow and include more spreakers of non hausa origin.

The pride of the hausa people in their language makes it easier for them to speak the language anywhere they find themselves anywhere they go, even if they understand other languages,
the joy in teaching their children the hausa language cannot be overemphasized that the language survives within several hausa communities in the diaspora (US,UK, Canada etc)

in recent data Hausa is the largest language in Africa if we exclude Arabic , surpassing Swahili who held the position for a long time according to _(spectator index surveys_ )
And it's the 11th spoken language in the world by native and non native speakers.

For that the use of the language by international media is of paramount importance to the continent of Africa as a whole.

We have several international Media broadcasting in Hausa language operating on a global scale these includes

1. BBC - London, United Kingdom(1957)
2. RFI - Paris (2007)
3. VOA -Washington,USA(1979)
4. CRI - Beijing,China
5. DW - (1963) Germany
6. TRT - Istanbul, Turkey
7. PARS- Tehran, IRAN
8. RMWS -
Moscow ,Russia
9.ERS. -Cairo, Egypt
10. RLS - Tripoli, Libya

Hey guys, I have always had my suspicion about her and this said man, he helps my dad during his constructions where she was mostly present.
It all started when i noticed her closeness with this man, I couldn't overlook it but i kept it aside till a relative who stays at home throughout confessed to me that this man is always coming to our home most times as i was not staying at home at that period cos i was in school.

When i came back from school i noticed he was always showing up even at a point i saw him in the house, immediately he saw me i could see he was disoriented and don't know which way he was to go.

Since then I don't greet him and he didn't complain or asked me the reason which i guess he has figured the relative has told me, he then stopped showing at my house

The thing is the relative couldn't tell my dad cos he believes my dad wouldn't believe him, this is the same situation i'm in too.

I like this woman tho even as i know she doesn't really have my best interest at heart, she has kids for my father already.

I really love my father but i hate to be the one to tell him this cos i don't even know how he would react to this.
Dude just stay low and don't say anything for now you don't have any proof , if you say anything now it might sent your relationship with your dad so please just stay low your dad will catch her by himself it's 100 days for the thief and one day for the owner just be patient it will manifest with timw

The mistake you’ll ever make in life is fighting uncles/aunties over your late fathers property. It’s not a lost battle but it’s a waste of time and resources to me.

Leave them to do their thing. It doesn’t mean you are a weakling or scared but don’t fight over property’s with them. Just don’t do it.

Surprise them on the date of the burial by showing up to pay your last respect or better still you can shun it. Your father is dead already.

Don’t fight over property o!!! If they want to take it by force. Leave it for them and work for your own. You can always do more with the life ahead of you.
Bros please kindly take this advise please and make you sure you work hard to outdo all of them and what your dad left

I got married to my wife 5 years ago. Before we got married, she dated a guy. We all stayed in the same area. I live here because it is close to my place of work. Her ex lives in the area. He does building contractor. While they were dating, I met my wife. I was able to convince her to date me. And since the guy was always travelling, I was able to get close to her. I think I won her finally after we had sex. Because that first day, I scattered her brain. She later left the guy. I proposed, she accepted and we got married.

I will say, at that time I got married to my wife, her ex and I were on the same level financially. But, recently, the guy has turned to something else. He does building for people overseas. People said the guy's work is good and he is always getting contracts. My wife said he had a 2.1 in Civil Engineering. He started selling cement. He is now a dangote cement distributor. He built a duplex at the junction of my street. He has 3 cars in the compound (he recently bought 1 car during this lockdown that people are saying no money oo). I and my wife do not have any car. I am still a tenant. We have to pass front of his house every day.

During this lockdown, my office has being delaying salaries. It has not being easy. I have had quarrels with my wife in the past but yesterday was the worst. During the quarrel, she said she regrets marrying me. That if she had ignored me and married her ex, she would have being living comfortably. I almost beat her up. Then she told me that this her ex paid her school fees in 300 and 400 level when she almost pulled out of school for lack of finance. She regrets paying him back by leaving him to marry me.

Since then, I have not being myself. I just created this account to express myself.
why your wife said was very inhuman to you tell her what if she was the one that has the bad luck and youaeei d her and that was why you did not get rich yet?
