smile4kenn: My sister do have interview at the lagos embassy on the 17th of next month. The problem here is that she is 18 but left highschool 3 years ago when she was 15. Do you guys think they will ask her what she has being doing since she left high school 3 years ago. The basic truth is that she was just too little and young to enter the university.
yes, they MAY ask her.

dahfweshdude69: hi guys.. please I really need ur help..I went for my interview on d 26 but was denied.. d white Dude told me I was refused because my denial was under section of can't proof a strong tie to my foreign country. please what should I do when am going again.. Hi, what documents did you go with? if you are under 18, you need to go with your parents. Did you go with a sponsorship letter from your sponsor along with the bank statement? what test cards(TOEFL, GRE, SAT) did you go with? what university is that?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by jcaribie: 5:27pm On Nov 27, 2013
d2ddayo: thanks for your response. now i am also thinking should i just reapply to ireland first and get all my documents so to face irish embassy before i apply to uk. my dad will be coming to nigeria this december and we can get to write the embassy. but now the question is, even if i apply now, i am working and am well over age, 28, will i still be allowed to use a sponsors bank statement like my office or my stepfather who had been the one sponsoring all my trips and all. reason being that i dont ve a good bank statement.
Yes you would.. your dad has to write a sponsorship letter to that effect.

Yea bro
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by jcaribie: 10:47pm On Nov 26, 2013
d2ddayo: Actually what happened is that i didnt write my dad resides in ireland because i now ve a stepdad who is my sponsor and he paid for all my trips back then until my last application which by then, my dad and i ve been communicating and i was ready to meet him after like 14 years, i dont see how that was deception, which was actually "written as". nways after that, i was told to reapply but i still havent like i earlier said till whenever i am ready. now my argument with uk and irish embassy if they raise this issue is, " is it ever not possible not to know anything about my biological dad when i do have a stepfather who had been the one with me for all these years. what is ur take on this peoplehuh thank you vicjustice and justwise, i await your reply.
Get a birth certificate which names him as your biological dad, along with a letter from him that you guys just got to know each other after a long time. If there is no birth certificate naming him, get him to swear to an affidavit that he is your biological father, but he has been absent for a long time. Cheers

kellyemms: my name is wale and my surname is smith. my father name is taiye and his surname also smith, in my birth certificate which detailed my name wale smith but my father's name in my birth certificate was written as taiwo smith. In my father's statement of account his name on it is taiye smith. If i use my birth certificate which detailed my father's name as taiwo smith (because the birth certificate is taiye smith and statement of account name is taiwo smith) will this affect my visa
application? Plz i need ur helps on this matter
Go to court and swear to an affidavit along with your father, saying that he is your biological parent. Tender the affidavit in place of the birth certificate. You will be fine.

winbyforce: What naija bank did you use when you sent yours?
Due to the insecurity I mentioned earlier, I got someone abroad to send them a Money order on my behalf. But I think UBA and GTB do money order. Cheers

idalex: hello house.
@jcaribie sorry for taking u back, do u mean payment of SEVIS fee can now be done in Nig. thru int'l money order or WU quick pay?
I do not think you can use WU quick pay from naija, but I know you can go to neighbouring countries to pay your sevis fee via western union. Also, any bank that does money order in Nigeria, can prep a money order draft which you will send to US BANK DHS. However, it's is advisable to ask someone you know in a foreign country to pay for it on your behalf via money order because you know as naija banks dey do their things, them fit prepare the money order finish, when US Bank DHS wan pay in the money order, wahala come burst...and for every rejected money order, you incur a fine of $30. Cheers

Guzye: Please guys, how did you sort your accommodation, I'm waiting for my 28days before applying. But i want to know the embassy's stand on accommodation, do I get to pay it first before applying or can I pay after and do I need to show them any address I'll be staying in the UK?
U DONT RELY NID TO SORT OUT UR HOUSING, BUT U MUST SHOW FUNDS FOR IT. YES, U NEED TO SHOW THEM THAT UR ADDRESS IN THE UK WILL BE UR SKOOL

IJESA83: Please help, i ve been admited by one of the UK universities for Msc Accounting and i am to pay £1000 as deposit, please will the embassy requre me to pay the remaining tuition before granting the Visa?
no, they will not require you to pay the remaining tuition fee, as long as it is in your account, as well as the maintenance money. Cheers

worry 359: I wish that everyone should read this BEFORE going to school.
So many think that they will be working and then studying in their spare time!
We have even had people 6 months pregnant planning to have baby, work and also study.

How many of these burn up all their money and then hide as illegal rather than return home to face family and friends?
Well, if your visa allows you to work 20 hours a week during term time(and unlimited during holidays), you can. If you work more than 20hours during term time, your visa will be cancelled. and if you really want to make good grades and earn a scholarship, u may consider only working during holidays, cos during term time, you'll have a lot of uni work, trust me. Cheers

chrisw29: Yeas I guess you are right, how about the TOEFL, if I print the online results do you think that it will be fine? because I talked with ETS guys, they told me that it will take time o deliver the certificate
Normally, in your application form, they will require that u tick that you will be attaching the original certificate as evidence of your English language capabilities. This might be a problem sha, but still attach the internet copy and the email from the ETS guys stating the length of time that it will take. Cheers

winbyforce: What address did you send the money order to? It's good to have all the options on the table
I-20 student/exchange visitor processing fee, 1005 convention plaza, St Louis MO 63101... but mk sure u go online n choose international money order as ur payment option. they will release a sevis receipt to u, but it only becomes valid when u pay.

sevule: Yes he did ask for Western Union Quickpay and he had a copy of my I20 and my passport data page. I guess it must be new rules or it could be something else. Anyway I hv sent it to a friend to help me process it.
omo... well, I had the same problem n US bank dhs explained to me when I called them that they're having problems processing western union transactions. send them an international draft/money order. go to their website you'll see instructions. cheers.

sevule: Hi Guys

Men it has been WAR paying the SEVIS fee!! My friend went to Cotonou to pay the fee on my behalf at Western Union and all the Western Union offices (Ecobank and Diamond Bank) he went to refused to process the transaction. They said that they cannot accept the money because the receiver is a US Bank (na the exact format fmjfee use for their site na im the guy use) and not an individual. Even when he wanted to send the money to somebody in the US they stated that he has to get a Togolese citizen to send on his behalf or something like that. Men the trip to Cotonou was a wasted effort. Anyways I would try and get somebody in the states to pay for me. All this wahala just to enter Obamaland
also, did he demand to use western union quick pay? kos its different from the normal western union. also, anyone who has a scholarship should show a bank statement which indicates that just incase u don't keep up with the terms of the scholarship, u will be able to fund urself. a VO told my friend this..n denied him on that basis.

Same thing happened to me wen I called them, I was told that my emergency booking will only be active on the last day, meaning u can only see earlier dates only on dat 2nd. Note dat it also expires dat same day. Looks lik a new rule or something else. Also try recharge lik 400naira before calling. Hope dis helps.
hello obajamie, I did call them on that number but MTN kept telling me that "I am not allowed to call the number". is it a network error or something? also, I cancelled my appointment, will I still be able to see the emergency date? also, if I book on the 2nd, will I be able to get interviewed on the 3rd? thank you so much.
