The rank of Knight Grand Cross was given to the president. President Goodluck Jonathan has promised that his administration will continue to work to better the lives of ordinary Nigerians. Mr. Jonathan also said his administration will treat all Nigerians equally, as well as develop all regions of the country equally. The President stated this on Monday when he was conferred with the Knight Grand Cross by the Noble Communion and Holy Apostolic Order of St. Hadrian of Canterbury. The President was decorated with the investiture by two Anglican clerics, Doye Agama and Duke Akamisoko, the Anglican Bishop of Kubwa, Abuja. Mr. Agama, an archbishop, said the president carries not only the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians, but also other aspects of the spiritual destiny of all sons and daughters of Africa. He recalled the previous award of Distinguished Fellow Emeritus of the Order which was conferred on the president in 2009, stating that he was elevated to the rank in Membership of Apostolic Order of St. Hadrian of Canterbury as Life Fellow Emeritus of the Order in 2011. “That appointment was especially in recognition of your continuing steady yet progressive piloting, of the Nigerian ‘Ship of State’ and also marked your record breaking stewardship of the freest and fairest elections ever held in this great nation, in 2011.” “Subsequent to the reordering of our ranks along chivalric lines, we are here today to invest you with the insignia of the Knight Grand Cross of this Order, which is reserved for Heads of State, Senior Royalty and highest Ecclesiastical Office. We believe this may be prophetic of other greater investitures to come,” he said. Mr. Jonathan was also asked to nominate future recipients of such awards. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/150719-anglican-church-honours-jonathan.html

I blasted the governor when I watched the video. Now I must commend Gov. Oshiomhole for apologising to the widow and compensating her. This shows good leadership that everyone should emulate in every position.

PUNCH newspaper reported at 1AM of low turnout for an election that has not started. You are really paid for what you report! http://www.punchng.com/news/low-turnout-threatens-anambra-election/ |
Sincere 9gerian: APC is a very deceitful and shameless party. They came to the media and claimed they boycotted the election but the reality on ground is completely different. I can confirm that APC is fully ready for this supplementary election and they are ACTIVELY involved in the deployment of materials for the election, which started Thursday. |
I doubt if APC will agree with him. |
