I no trust am phor this coun3ri.

The dollar wey I buy in Jan 2020 has gained 45 percent while the Naira wey I put for bonds has lost 45 percent (we could say make we add 10% annual yield and $5 percent reinvestment interests but still 30% loss in value).

Anyone who has held Naira since Jan 2020 up till date has lost 45 percent of its real value.
Jan 2020 - $1 bought at N370
Sept 2021 - $1 bought at N530.
Quite succint...

Jedisco, pls indulge me. I follow you a lot and always look forward to your posts but you been a lot calm on analysis since this week. Hence my questions:

What do you think of DOT, take profit or still wait on the 40 target you set?

And does BTC have fuel to hold 49 - 50k range or it just might nuke to 48?
On my alyt positions, I'm not taking profits now irrespective of what bitc0in does in yhe interim.... I've set my initial targets and got no problems holding till theyre hit.

Regarding Betece........ It's continued to hold the 21d ena and I'm biased towards an upside move... that said, the coyn can do what it wants .
I also wouldn't consider a move to 48k a nuke...
A pullback will be a move to 42-45k.... A nuke will be to 35-37k....

Which hurts the most?
-missing out on a pump
-taking profit too early
-carrying bag
Buying the top thinking you're buying a breakout and ending up with a huge bag

Apart from applying the 21period moving average to your charts, are there still some other cheat codes you would want to share?

Jedisco
Before getting into a coyn, I now mainly use Higher time frames on charts mostly the daily, and weekly. Rarely go below the 4hrly.

I prefer to limit my trades to a fewer coyns as I do better this way

Market flows in cycles... there'd be months of betece dominance and months of alyts dominance- know when to play which...

Not usually a good idea buying on a green day

When buying dips on betece, waiting for a daily close to confirm bias can save one from buying a nuke

With coyns who move in a pack, it's usually best to go with the leader except on certain occasions where the plan is to flip profits

With alyts, I try to zoom out and see what betece is doing... Most times, betece and alyts alternate their runs- if betece or eith is going to outperform an alyt, I'm better of in those two....
For example... Compare the weekly ltc/betece chart to eith/betece chart or even ltc/eith and it'd be clear which coyn is better to hold...

Bitc0in will usually respect structure

Limit the number of times I look at charts moreso during times of increased volatility... I've come to see that on days I looked at charts too much, I ended up making decisions I didn't think were good after a few days...e.g selling the exact bottom outta fear or buying the top thinking its a breakout

These are the ones that come to mind...

no be every coin you go take profit

Imagine taking profit from KSM at 380

Or taking profit from SOL at 100
I entered sol at 30 and took good profits at 100 and some more at 120.
Even if it rallies to 1000, no regrets....

You play this game long enough and discover that it's coyns where u never took profits that hurt...

If the last 3 months have taught anything is that sol could easily be trading at 50 in several months...

Like most would say, no one went broke taking profits

They are US and Crypto adherents that CBN policies and actions have dealt with and they want other people to be involved too maybe that would touch the CBN.
Once they are not getting their way, they start name calling, bullying and all other tactics that will still not change the mind of those whose mind are already made.

The organic members of this thread already knows that though sometimes CBN policies might not be favourable to the investors. However, they will always find a legal means to move on instead of ranting for a decision that was made within ambit of CBN responsibilities. OMO was open to us all here back then and we could invest in it at will depending on your Bank and availablity. Now we cannot longer do it.

We discussed that and moved on without name calling and insinuations. That's what should happen but no they would rather do the opposite.
Hehe... It's interesting you believe CBN policies had any negative impact on those holding forex or trading crypt0.... Contrarily they seem to be the ones who benefit

Within a year of placing restrictions on crypt0, CBN has turned round and is going to be one of the first to issue a central bank crypt0 asset. That says enough

BTW, discuss and move without demanding change hardly solves any problem

How will the naira grow when the CBN left Fintechs in Nigeria and paid $500m to a Barbadian Fintech company to program the e-naira?

That huge amount would have provided the much needed FX, jobs and grown our nascent tech-economy but it was given to foreigners. Rwanda and Southafrica used their youths to provide their e-currency solutions,so what stops Nigerians from doing same.

Please, you and your fellow Patriots should allow the treasury bills thread to do their business and don't bring your gaslighting and propaganda here.
The way CBN is rushing into this e-currency stuff which seems to be borne out of the need to make sure forex repatriations go thru them might very well just boomerang... Just like the failure of their Naira for dollar scheme..

The ease of interoperability between crypt0 assets might mean they'd just end up dollarising the economy...

Countries who have been testing central bank issued soins for years are yet to roll it out... Makes me more sceptical how quickly cbn cane to this idea

which one is usdt?
Seems like it increases by at least, 1 dollar each day. At this rate, it will exceed 600 naira to 1usd before December.
I've been changing my naira to usd and just keep in a domiciliary account. But I'm being careful, make Dem no come tomorrow and say that you can't access USD. That's what is holding me back somhow.
The way the country is going is actually scary.
If things continue this way, then soon enough, they'd come for domiciliary accounts... just like woth Argentina e.t.c....
So far Nigeria's currency crises seems to be following the Lebanon pathway and it's quite clear CBN is running out of ideas

It appears that this e-naira digital currency plan is not about improving the economy, but about the federal government having total control of everybody's finances.

If cash in Naira is phased out, then the federal government, through the CBN, can decide to block any person's digital account for any reason or even for no reason. The victim would not be able to back up his finances with cash. This is a very dangerous situation.
Traditional bank accounts will still be around for a longtime... Even countries with better mobile connectivity wouldn't try it....

The advantages is that its much cheaper to 'mint' a billion coyns than a billion naira.... Also, it'd give the CBN a hedge on forex remittance..

If there's an e-naira, I doubt it'd be limited to CBN issued wallets only... It'd likely be listed on exchanges similar to stable coyns.... That way, folks in diaspora can easily buy enaira on say binaz and send to folks in Nigeria...

That said, I don't think weak currencies adopting crypt0 in this way is going to help.... The downside is that they might just dollarise their economy if usd linked currencies are very easy to access and use

Thanks for all the assistance you've all been rendering especially the OP.
As the verified noob I am grin I will appreciate help on strategies so I will possibly bombard with a lot of questions.

My first now is how to enter on a coin that has broken it's ATH, like Ftt. Does one wait for a retracement, or is is okay to ride it at any point.
This is not a bad strategy....
It was my modus operandi at the early part of the last run... Buy coyns that have just broke ATH and target 4-5x.... Come back later and get another 2x.... Worked for a good number... Didn't work as well towards the end of the run....

Take a look at sol and how it's continued to rally after breaking previous ATH...

I'm trying to identify coyns that habe broken ath.... So far it looks like ada, sol, kava, ftt...

My entry depends on the coyn....Usually what I do is is wait for some consolidation and target a retest of previous high.... Some coyns do not come back to retest previous ath.... Some do and don't move as much..

Take kava for example.... I'm still contemplating an entry .... It's retraced to the daily support and has retested 8.... A significant breakout from here should see it reach 24 at least. Reason I'm not in it yet is cos I'm not quite convinced about the structure

I'm just letting the market do it's thing to my portfolio

On PSG, If one is expecting a 2x at 60-66... An entry of 30 isn't bad in the grand scheme....
Still not in it though, would want to see some show of strength first or lower targets hit....

Over the last week to two, I've put in good amount of new fiat into the market... Let's see

If betece goes on another rally, One coyn I want to build a good stash of is chz... Most fan tokens are built on it... I'm hoping to get bids in on a retest of the weekly ema at around 0.3

With the covid crash and cash constraints, an increasing number of football clubs are turning to fan tokens to engage fans nd raise some cash it seems...
Wouldn't be surprised if other sporting teams start following suit.......

My plan will be to own some chz and another sporting token (psg likely)

Been thinking about the effects of the e-naira on the crypt0 space....

I believe CBN wants to use it as a means to build their reserves by centrally channeling forex remittance to the country through their hands....
While this is ingenious and makes sense on paper, I'm a bit worried about how quickly it was put together.... Most countries have been testing crypt0 for a while but yet to issue one officially.... I'm worried about how quickly the CBN has made plans and fixed an issue date with theirs.... Let it not be another failed experiment... With crypt0 coins, CBN can manufacture endless naira overnight

Fact is, it might not do much in strengthening the Naira as most folks will still keep usd denominated stables... Except CBN can make it available on exchanges such that one can buy it from anywhere in the world and transmit it.... Still a tough one and something I'd show some skepticism about....

One thing it'd do is boost the masses following of crypt0... When people who think crypt0 is scam hear that CBN has issued one, they'd rush to buy it forgetting that it's just another stable coin... When they wait sometime without profit, they'd move to buy some crypt0...

The major winners of the whole stable coin ish seems to be the US.. it's seems to be a way for them to dollarise the economies of most nations by making everyday folls own the dollar....

Eitherway, it seems to be something ingenious CBN has put forward after a very long time.... I will look forward to how it rolls out
