jedisco: jedisco:It's good to have one or two of your coyns perform well when bitc0in is misbehaving... Initial target on one is still 1.5... would recalibrate afterwards
|
jedisco:Who remembers our sol chart? Did some flipping on it during the brutal selloff... Thank God I knew when to stop flipping and let the coyn ride.... Took good profits off at 100 (into betece and bnb)... Will take the next off at 145 which will be 3x from breakout (likely into usd).... Generally, I like selling on the way up... If only some others can repeat same in due course
|
Timekeeper:Seriously, it's an annoying coyn... The last to pump and it retraces the deepest... Cant wait to dump my lil holdings on it |
Ibime:I don't have a fixed percentage yet but I'm tilting towards that.. But I'm more of a swing or long-term trader than day trader... Once in a while, I spot good daily moves and cash out.... The thing about holding is that one has a clearer view of the market... And you wouldn't need a chart to tell you it's time to take profit nd wait for a retrace.... E.g last year when I held dot and uni from 4 to 20... I didn't need anyone to tell me that at 20 dols, I should take profit which I did.... Most day traders who subsequently jumped in hoping to benefit from a bounce from 18 back to 20 were stuck... Similar to sol.... Folks who bought at 30 are almost 5x up and wouldn't need a prophet to tell themto take some profits between 100 and 150... that's when some day traders would start to FOMO If betece does go on another run, my plan is to focus on a few assets, take profits either by selling into usd, betece on flipping them.... When theres a retrace, I deploy back into same assets... Of recent, I started averaging slowly into certain micros..... If there's a dip, I'd add more.... If they go on to repeat what they did earlier this yr, I wouldn't need advice to know when to take profit This is my view of the market, of course it can differ for most |
sconp:TBH, it doesn't look brilliant.... It's beginning to get crammed between the ema support and 50k resistance.... Soon one of them should budge.... The selloff into yesterday's close wasn't nice.... If it loses the daily ema, the next target is 44.5k and afterwards the weekly ema.......
|
chidekings:The option now available on binaz for dot is the flexible savings at 0.5% apr.... My dot holdings are on kraken... BTW, I meant 12%...which is not bad for flexible staking There's a screenshot on the previous page There are other options there to stake assets.... Just be sure its secure. There are ones where you could even earn interest without having to necessarily deposit your coyns on the exchange |
OpenHeaven2019:Great... Would be nice to have a slow paced, future oriented thread... |
Weirdgee:Just listed a most... Eith is another... With alyts, one can hardly go wrong with eith.... Ada is anothe champ... annoyingly, its moved |
OpenHeaven2019:Noted... I'm going in kia kia.... Really enjoyed it's early year rally.... 4x in a month was sweet |
Seriously, having some crypt0 assets is becoming a no brainer for Nigerians... Looking at the exchange rate today, the fact is even if your crypt0 asset did not move, youre up 6% over the last month.... That's what TB yields are for a year... In essence, if you buy TBs at 7%, by the time you get your money back, it might have lost 50% of its value What alot of older folks are still failing to grasp is that as far as the naira continues to devalue this rapidly, one is losing money in real terms by owning most naira denominated investment...be it bonds, TB's e.t.c With the manoeuvring by the CBN in the past 2 weeks, it was obvious the market will respond badly.... Now, they're running out of options and the populace are increasingly losing faith in the Naira. IMO, they are left with two options- either remove dollar subsidies or go for domiciliary accounts... As a Nigerian, crypt0 may save you

Ruben225571:My brother ehn.... To be factual with you... In this game, they're things that'd burn you.... If you think the coyn has prospects, wait for it to bleed after listing.... When icp listed, I waited months for it to bleed from 30o ish to an area where I felt the bottom was close... Today, though I didn't buy the bottom, I'm up about 75% on it.... It's not that you weren't burnt today, rather It's such emotions for quick cash that kill The downside of crypt0 is that folks at the click of a finger can express emotions to buy or sell hufe amounts. One thing that took me a while to learn was to stop market buying.... I place my orders and wait for it to fill... There's no hurry in this market |
Personally, as I shared on the other thread, irrespective of what bitc0in does in the interim ( as far as it's above 40k), I don't see the need to sell any of my alyts for now..... if a pullback comes and gives lower prices, I'd add more Some of my alyt entries and target sells are... One... Entry was at 1... Target is 1.5 Kusama... Entry between 280 and 300... Target is between 500-600 Dot- as above Uni- entry was between 25-27... Target is 40 Link- entry was between 20-25, target is 40-50 Xrp- entry was 0.59... target 1.8 ish Theta- entry was 7, target 12-15 Tfuel- entry was 0.36, target 0.6 Icp... Entry was around 66 and 40... targeting 120-150 on it... Still got some shib (entry 0. and doge... Targeting 2x on both... Personally, I don't think doge will perform as well this time around... Many people who missed its last rallies have been lurking around in it... Me feels it'd still grustrate folks a lilUsually, there's a rhythm to this market.... Eith or ada moves first and the other follows.... Coins that move on tandem can provide an opportunity to maximize profits if the second is lagging If eith moves towards 4k, then etc will usually follow quickly... If it lags, then I cycle If bnb moves towards 600-650, then bake and cake usually follow... |
At this stage of the market, I'd say most people would likely do better over the next few weeks if they target a few coins and just hold rather than jumping from pillar to post... A good number of coyns have a decent chance of pulling a 50% from their current valuations if bitc0in remains stable over the next few weeks-months |
If you want to make good entries on alyt in a bull run, There are 2 cheat codes I'd advice, First ficus on the daily and weekly charts against Bitc0in and usdt.... Second, make your ema settings to 21..... Most coyns will keep touching this and rallying up until they top out... What I do is target what coins are holding their support during a selloff... |
Now to some trading.... With the solana rally, I believe lots of people will rush into buy it at close to 150.... Two coyns I'm looking at are dot and uni.... I enjoyed the first parabolic move of dot from 4 to 20 and then 40 earlier this year.... It cooled down before the selloff... Looking at it now, it looks juicy... First against Bitc0in it's flipping the weekly ema support.... I got some of it today at 25, staked it at 20% apr and targeting 40-50 (2x) at the first instance from it.... My plan will be to sell there, hopefully reload lower and target a price discovery run afterwards Good chance it and uni could pull a solana if they break previous ATH

Madmazel99:Generally, trx is not a coin I trade... Its not performed well against Bitc0in or eith in the past.. Of course, every coin has its day, but I like being with the strongest participants |
jedisco:Following up from this, the thread is up and running. would appreciate input from folks focused on long-term portfolio moves... https://www.nairaland.com/6725463/investing-digital-currencies-looking-bigger Just to clarify, I'd still be active here if I see on sensible daily move.. As an aside, one thing I've noticed in crypt0 is that the market repeats itself.... As an intro: I reviewed the events of the last 3 months and I've seen such play out on multiple times.... Fact is like most of us, if you were bullish and buying heavily at 60k and became bearish and didn't buy at 30k, then you're likely just providing liquidity to the market expect you've taken lessons.... I asked myself today, if the events of the last 6 months repeated themselves, would I behave differently? Cos if we go on to have another rally, most will still be bullish at the top and not take profits.... One of the reasons I took some unnecessary losses last time was because I was sucked into noise of daily trading.... It's good to know ones strength in this market and focus on it. On this thread, I shared how I almost tripled my portfolio between December and end of January with very minimal input while.... Looking back, when I decided to start babysitting positions was when I lost stopped making as much... If I had continued with a hugely laid back approach, I'd have been hugely out of the market before the selloff... I knew eith is usually the last to rally but still missed the tip If you believe I'm a bit knowledgeable on this market, then take it from me that at least 90% of people who think they're day trading, lose money in the long-term or simply do not make as much... In essence, that's my reason for the thread above- simply to fertilize ideas on how to make it big and retain profits in this space... I hope that when the next rally comes, we'd have folks here who read the market well, sold into the greed with testimonies to share |
Ruben225571:Why do people like losing their money |
Kemistri4:I bought at 30 ish and took some chunk off at close to 100... Generally, when coyns are in price discovery, this is how they move 20, 40-50, 70, 100, 120, 150, 300.... You could see these patterns on bnb, etc and a host of others Point being if ots flipped 100, good chance it gets to 150.... I'd expect a stall there at least and a retest of 100 before any further continuation... |
One reason I'm very bullish on bitc0in.... It has recognisable an actionable timescale In addition to having about 2-3 significant moves yearly Larger timesale- By virtue of its supply being cut in half every four years (called the halving), and increasing demand, this causes a well timed huge rally every 4 years (termed bull run) that propels the market to new highs... Hence, so far no one who's held bitc0in for 4 years has had to sell at a loss... In investing, having a market that provides these can be priceless.... After the end of each bullrun comes a healthy correction which IMO, is opportunity to amass it on the discount The 2020/2021 bullrun which is still in play propelled the price of bitc0in from about 12k isd after the halving to 60k so far with a good chance it goes higher.. This was largely driven by institutions adopting bitc0in as a store of value with some buying it in hundreds of millions... The next halving is in 2024... And if history is anything to go by, there should be another rally. It is my view that the 2024 rally will largely be propelled by countries adopting crypt0 either by means of owning Bitc0in or issuing central bank backed stable coins. Already one country has began to build bitc0in reserves. Come to think of it, crypt0 provides tangible assets that can be traded in hundreds of countries worldwide. With the way bitc0in is structured, it protects folks from inflation. This is something I believe countries might not even be able to control. Due to poor economic policies, we've seen citizens of countries with unstable currencies e.g Turkey, Nigeria, Lebanon, Venezuela e.t.c troop into crypt0 to protect their assets. It's only a matter of time before a currency pulls a Zimbabwe on it's citizens. The winners would be thise who were able to hedge their assets against inflation...and crypt0 is one of the easiest ways to do that. It's not my prayer that countries go bust, butin life, somethings are bound to happen. Being more futuristic, moreso with more crypt0 exchages offering cards to directly spend crypt0 in everyday transactions, I'd say that if ever there was going to be a human currency that transcends geographic locations to be used in everyday spending, it'd likely be based on crypt0. We're not there yet, but it's not hard to see it happening |
OpenHeaven2019:I'm tilted towards some turbulence before ATH |
fashionnisir:This is flexible i.e you can withdraw whenever.... For fixed timescales, there are better rates even on most exchanges. Binaz offers 7% for 90 days
|
Mazinewmoney:My brother, nobody be master in this space, we're all trying to mk profit.... Generally, all I do here is share thoughts on coyns I trade... I usually refrain from advising people to buy this or that.... But generally, it's safe to have a larger chunk of your portfolio invested among betece, eith, ada and bnb... They may not give the volatility some others would, but you'd have peace of mind |
Bitc0in weekly finish wasn't a nice one... Looking unbiasedly at the weekly candle, and with that of the week before also closing that way at resistance, usually, I'd expect a pullback.... If a pullback does occur, two places I'd be interested in are the daily ema support at 46.8k and weekly support at 42.5k Dilemma now is that with betece struggling with resistance, most alyts have taken a beating... I'd largely let my alyts be.... Can't justify selling most at current prices
|
Ibime:Sure, I'd still be active on the trading thread.... This is an offshoot to discuss on how to benefit from the space without the usual buying and selling and bothering ourselves with daily charts...cos frankly, my best wins in this space was when I sat back, blinded myself of the volatility and let the market do it's thing to my portfolio.... You are a sh*tcoyn guru... Will appreciate your insight into investing in that space |
Another is crypt0 loans.... Now, this is not for everyone But the fact that one can borrow fiat at rates of lower than 1% using their crypt0 currency as collateral is significant.... This is similar to traditional borrowing against ones stocks e.t.c just that it's quicker, faster and cheaper. Most crypt0 backed borrowing firms already have billions of dollars in borrowed assets... https://tokentax.co/blog/8-best-crypto-loans/ To put things in context, Bitc0in has continued to grow year on year. No one who's held bitc0in for 4 years has been at a loss... So that means I can obtain a loan at 1% interest rate against an asset that growing 10-20% year on year... That's some good arbitrage Take for example, I need some cash and I have 2 Bitc0in around a time I feel its undervalued e.g during the selloff to 3k e.t.c... I could borrow fiat against my bitc0in at a rate of 1% and payback wh.. E.g say I have 1 bitc0in and the market price is 20k USD and I need 5k usd and I don't want to sell my bitc0in just yet... I could deposit part of the bitc0in, borrow 5k usd at 1% months later, the price of bitc0in could have recovered to say 35kusd, I could sell then and offset my debt and wait for a dip to buy back and still own my 1 bitc0in In that way, I'm leveraging on my asset to create wealth. This is an everyday occurrence on financial markets and generally how some families built their wealth without selling their assets. Now, like I said, this is not something I'd advise anyone new to financial markets to dabble with... |
jedisco:I've spent the better part of the last 2 hours looking into the NFT space and while it's still quite speculative for now, it's amazing what potential it holds. More interesting is that a good number of people drawn to the space aren't the regular crypt0 people.. So folks who would have never owned Crypt0 at all are now monetising their art based on a platform underpined on crypt0. This goes to butress my point that crypt0 will change digital transactions in unseen ways |
Was watching the Milan match today and lots of crypt0 ads... Bitmex on the ads board and shirts.... Crypt0(dot)com sponsoring the replays Even Wolves vs Man.u - Bitc or so is on their shirt... Market seems to be growing quickly esp with the NFT stuff added on
|
Ibime:Are those also going NFT? Those coyns can be frustrating |
Ibime:Not buying at these levels... Todays candle is turning out to be a nasty one.... I'd wait patiently below 31 if it gets there.... By then most who were jumping in at 50-60 would have capitulated... Such coyns will def pump.... The most important thing is getting in close to the bottom so I can expect my 2x.... Just like icp....tracked that coyn for months since it listed... It just kept selling off... My first buy was around 60 stuff still nuked lower |
OpenHeaven2019:Oops... |
Bunsenbun:I personally wouldn't advise @mazinewmoney to sell doge or xrp at their current valuations... He might just end up selling the bottom or close to the bottom to chase pumps elsewhere...... When he's reallocating his portfolio next time, it might do him well to have a good split |
