PoliticsRe: Buhari Is Connecting Solar Street Lights In Anambra by jedisco(m): 8:38pm On Jan 22, 2020
GenBuhari:
So I had been seeing solar street lights helping light up Awka streets at night. I was surprised to learn it was a federal project as Anambra governor Willie Obiano is always harping on about lighting up the state.

As many Igbo accuse PMB of being bigoted and nepotistic , PMB contiues to work in silence with little fanfare.

In Awka NEPA light has improve a lot from how it was in 2016.

Travelling along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway yesterday work is going on day and night and good progress is being made.

Zik's Moussaleum completed.

Warri- Kogi rail completed.

2nd Niger Bridge work in progress.

Gone are the days when ruling party wins approx 95% of all election tribunals. Today it is approx 50%

Igbo youth are beneficiaries of npower.

Igbo states benefitted from bail out funds.

Biafran soldiers paid pension owed to them

Igbo state governor are equally likely as others to be invited to accompany PMB on foreign trips.

Supplied adequate funds to give Alex Ekwueme a good burial.

Mr President , using result to speak for him whilst wailers are wailing.
You, my friend, is without sense

Are Igbo's states no more part of Nigeria?

Are you saying that Igbo yourhs shouldn't have been part of NPower or that bail out funds should have been shared to Kano, Katsina and Kaduna alone?

All the things you listed are disgraceful to be attributed as achievements of a president. The Igbo's have done more for Nigeria than Nigeria has ever done for them.

If Buhari is doing any project in the East, he's doing his job and Nothing more. He's not paying for it from his pocket. That is why he's paid by taxpayers. He's not paid to sip kunu in Aso Rock

Bother with checking yourself. No mortal has such power over the life and destiny of another. Don't be deluded...their future does not lie in your hand.

Surely you must realize that when people don't like you, it really won't matter if you're doing nothing wrong, they would still find a way to make you look bad.

The bias against Meghan was watered by none other but herself. You can see one of the articles you posted called her 'dictatorial', they may not be far from the truth.

I followed the whole ruckus leading up to their wedding in 2018 up until the wedding itself. You should not take my word for it though, you could make some findings on your own regarding just how much she tried to break almost every protocol regarding how the wedding should go.
A lot of things were changed/altered just to accommodate her preferences - from the flower choices, to the aisle leading up to the alter that was made wider because it's what she wanted, etc.. There was a lot more which I can't even recall off the top of my head.

Now no one is saying she couldn't have creative control over her own wedding, but when you marry into a monarchy that has a certain way of doing things in keeping with age-long traditions as old as her own ancestors, then she probably should have simmered down a little. She got what she wanted most of the time because the monarchy were happy enough to make Diana's little boy happy, but she took it too far and got used to it.
After the wedding, she kept trying to get them to do things her way and most of the time she would get it, but guess what, the British people only resented her for it because she was now effectually implying that their ways of doing things was not good enough for her, her own way was better...it wasn't just an emotional bride trying to make her wedding day perfect anymore, this was a woman who had no respect for the Monarchy and its ways. She confirmed what they already suspected and gave oxygen and water to the bias already working against her. And to make it worse, she was not even that big a celebrity in Hollywood in the first place.

This kind of resentment will obviously make them troll her at every given opportunity...no one holds a grudge more than the British.

If say, a single never divorced well brought-up Beyoncé (still black and American) was the one who married into the royal family, she may even get a softer landing than Meghan. If a Beyoncé DIL wanted the Queen MIL to dance single ladies inside Buckingham Palace, she may have gotten away with it, just because she is a Beyoncé. Get my point?

Meghan already had everything working against her from the start - previous failed marriage, dysfunctional family set-up, being biracial, and an American actress (not even an A-list, which may have been a plus). The least she could have done to warm her way into the hearts and minds of the British people, is to at least appear that she gave a shit about the way things are done.

I'm NOT sorry to type this, but I will because it is what it is:
Meghan did not do Windsor a favor by marrying Harry, Windsor in fact did her a favor by allowing her become a part of their family and she should have acted accordingly and not take a mile when given an inch.

It's what it is.
What you wrote is exactly the reason behind those articles and how the British press want you to think.
They have conditioned your thought process to see she's at fault.
Take for example the wedding ish you mentioned, how did you know Kate did not demand something similar and they were given without anyone seeing anything wrong with it or perhaps praising her for taking initiative.

Things are not always as they seem.

EducationRe: Alhikmah University Slashes School Fees Pics Attached by jedisco(m): 5:28am On Jan 12, 2020
It would be interesting to know why it was slashed.
Is it due to low demand and few students, or have they accessed funding by other means?
Or perhaps, do they think their previous fees were exorbitant

I have the FSDH Treasury Bill fund, I was informed that it would decline by June after which my account officer promised to transfer my account to Coral income fund
Seems it's higher than the Coral income fund now.....
These Agritech companies are beginning to look enticing. More so, their rates are on the total sum and not per annum

Treasury Bill at 9.4% or money market fund?
Their FSDH TREASURY BILLS FUND
Said the rate changes daily. Was about 12% before Christmas. I suspect it would continue to decline for now

Have you heard of FSDH Merchant Bank?

A google search will be of help.
Just got off the phone with them. Their TB rate is 9.4% which corresponds with what's on the app. Annoyingly, they said the Coral income fund is 8% (whereas 11% is stated on the app). They insist the app has issues and is in the process of being corrected

Invest just what you can afford to lose in the numerous crowd funding Schemes eg 100k and below although I can't invest in such ventures because I don't invest in what I don't understand.

Try FSDH Asset Management, their rate is about the highest for now 11%
I haven't heard of them. Are they affiliated to any bank?
I just opened an FBN MMF account and their rates are about 8.8%

Not bad, but I have my reservations and can't invest in any until SEC starts regulating crowd funding in Nigeria.

If any of the big Investment houses like Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, FBN Asset Management, FCMB Asset Management, Investment One financial services, United Capital should promote any agricbusiness I will invest with them they must done their home work on profitability and sustainability. They have billions of naira under management. United Capital is managing fund to the tune of over N100 billion, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management is even bigger.

I know I can get back my money if the investment did not go as projected

I don't know if we are familiar with the story of a smart but dubious student of Obafemi Awolowo University who raised close to N2 billion through crowd funding from investors which he promised mouth watering monthly returns although he paid for some months this made the investors to invest more money and also invited more people into the investment scheme due to the referral incentives he introduced to the scheme. At the end of the day he eloped with investors' money valued at N1.8 billion this happened more than 7 years ago
My sentiments exactly.
I believe it's an area with very good prospects but with lots of new agri tech companies and lots of money to be made, without the right oversight, it may just be a matter of time before it becomes another ponzi-like scheme. I have no issues testing them out with little money, but the fear is that after that, one is likely to then invest significantly, and that's when they usually start disappearing.

Didn't know about that story but it's not surprising. Getting the money is one thing. They using it judiciously and turning out profit in a short while is the real issue

I'm looking towards FBN MMF. Though their rates are not so brilliant, but it's more dependable

Hello house.
It seems TBs have gone bust for now.
I'm looking at moving to Agritech (firms like thriveagric, crowdyest e.t.c) but they're relatively new, untested and not regulated. There are lots of them coming up and I fear they may crumble (we know how regulated sectors in Nigeria fare talk more of unregulated ones). Stocks are not my thing except I hand over to a stockbroker which I'm not keen on doing.

Anyone with experience /advise on the many upcoming agritech sites?

Doctors In The House Please What's Solutions To This?

Have a friend who have been battling with rough palm for long now.

According to her, it happens like 8 years ago. She used to have a normal palm, until a particular day she helped someone to applied Relaxer without gloves. Ever since then, her palm started peeling and cracking causing her severe pains and pricks.
She taught it was just something that will go away in few days, but till date making 8 years she's been experiencing crack, hard and and peeling palm.
It get worse every harmattan seasons, there are days she can't eat she had to be fed by someone due to the pains.

she has applied all sort of treatment but they're not effective.

She said she has been to a clinic once but they couldn't specify what's wrong with her, they only gave her some drugs which ended up not being effective.

Please anyone with similar experience should please share whatever treatment they applied.

Doctors in the house, please your help is needed.

Please help me push it to front-page for wider audience.
@op l believe she is reacting to something. Very likely something she applies.
I used to have something like this. I tried changing detergents, creams e.t.c until I discovered it was Detol cool I was using that was causing it. Once I stopped the soap, I've never had anything similar again.

I'd advise she should change her personal items one or two at a time until she discovers what's causing it. Also, she should look into any medications she takes routinely cos it can also be a reaction to drugs/clothing.

You may ask why her but the fact is that every one is unique and you'd be surprised at items people react to

Dehindepgenius:
I am almost completely sure you are not giving us the full picture. It would be really interesting to hear your wife's version of this story. As human beings, we tend to tell stories in a way that favors us and make us garner pity. If your wife is the breadwinner at the moment, she deserves your loyalty, respect and understanding. Taking care of the financial responsibilities of a home is not easy. You plan, you worry, you get afraid, you have sleepless nights...especially if your spouse does not pitch in.
Here's what happens. When a man loses his source of livelihood, every little move by a woman suddenly becomes emaaculating. The woman is already under a terrible strain and you are here to barmouth her to strangers.

I frankly do not believe you are doing enough. Factories abound, uber is there, the keke business is there, even uneducated teenagers from the north are hustling and making a good living riding bikes.

Yea, sometimes a man experiences setbacks, my dad did. The true measure of manhood lies in dusting yourself off the ground and trying again. These days sadly, there are too many lazy men who whine instead of actually being men. If you are here bad mouthing your wife, then I'm willing to bet, you do it everywhere. My cousin went through this. Everybody called her wicked. The husband's elder brother was like come and stay with me and I'll fix you up with something. They no tell the brother. Las Las he chases the man out of his home and told everyone to ignore the man because he is lazy. All he does is play video games and sleep.

Society is particularly unfair to women. A quick look through this site will convince any unbiased person of that. You already have men pitying you and condemning your wife which is exactly what you wanted. Oga poster, you came here seeking pity, looking for people to condemn your wife and soothe your ego and you already have faceless strangers doing that, but the truth is you are failing as a husband and a father. These people cheering you on and telling you your wife is wicked are in their ow homes hustling and taking care of their business.

I am a man like you and I will not lie to you. You are your own problem. Take these steps.

1. First of all, love and appreciate your wife. Thank her for all she does.

2. Pray hard and ask God to show you why you are experiencing hard luck. Folks here might not tell you the truth, but you may have a character flaw that is working against you. You may actually be lazy, most lazy people won't admit it. It may also be karma. You may have treated others, including your wife badly in the past hence the problems. Yes, it happens. Find out what the problem is and fix it.

3. Hustle, hustle, hustle! I don't believe in excuses. Real men don't. Meanwhile, what do you do? You can mail me your cv at dehindep@gmail.com.
