In as much as it is good to be financially prudent (as I guess was the intention of the initial poster on the first thread), it is necessary to know that people would always spend on what they consider valuable.

People keep mentioning Bill Gates and Dangote who they know very little about. While those two may not be found with the latest iPhone, they can spend millions of dollars a week's holiday, art, horses, or watch some sport they have interest in. IT'S ALL ABOUT INTEREST!
Dangote may not have the latest phone, but would not fly economy on an international flight. However, right now with same budget for a flight, I'd prefer to fly economy and can use the change to get a good phone I'd use for at least a year. To me that makes sense but that does not mean Dangote is wasting money. It's all about things people attach value to.

The original poster also spoke about using a laptop of 60k cos all he does is reading and writing. Alot would prefer a more premium laptop cos of sleekness, better screen, speed, portability and ease of use even if they only read and watch videos on it. That doesn't mean they sre stupid or he's smarter than them.

People easily give financial advice when it's another person's money but hardly for theirs. Give advice but avoid being judgemental. Live and let live

To answer your question, most young dudes don't spend crazily on a lady. It's more common with older men who have only money to offer. People can get money from different sources but other jobless ladies using expensive gadgets shouldn't be your excuse for what's going on in your life. Fact is I've noticed that dudes with more money spend relatively less on ladies than their less bouyant counterparts as ladies tend to stick if they see you're loaded and have a clear plan for life even if you don't spend much on them

From what you said, the girl is milking you.Her utterances show she wouldn't be with you if your cash sources dwindle and she's likely sleeping around given the company she keeps too.

I've once seen someone do something similar but on a much smaller scale and the end result was devastating for him. The girl simply saw him as weak. Once a lady begins to see you as weak, you'd loose any respect she has for you.

Don't be fooled by her beauty. There are more beautiful ladies out there. Call of the relationship, cut your losses and move on!

BTW, don't you think your expenditure seems over the top moreso given your job role which may not have long-term security? I make over double of what you earn but haven't and don't see myself spending anything remotely close to that on someone I'm dating. You have to invest for your future.

The walls will not be shinning as expected when you apply p.v.a to the painted wall. This is because the wall was not screeded before painting. Instead of using Satin paints in all the building why don't you use satin paints on the sitting room and the surrounding of the house. Someone also said using satin outside on areas with much sun may make the paint peel off the wall with time

You may go with matte then. As pricing go, my matte is in the price range of emulsion grade of brands like eagle, president. I'm not even mentioning brands like berger and du lux.
matte is cleanable, flat and smooth on application even though the sheen and clean ability isn't as high as satin or silk but it still gives a classy finish.

@ jedisco, what you were told to do is apply a cheap/weak form of varnish on an emulsion but it's not worth it.
Firstly, the emulsion can't be as flat and smooth as satin or matte and it would be noticeable. The PVA would give it some sheen but it would be obvious it's just regular emulsion beneath it.
Secondly, you won't need to screed or prime if you just wanted to stick to emulsion, but add sheen to the emulsion and the contours the emulsion didn't reveal would be obvious due to reflection of light on the shining surface.
Lastly, PVA is not as water resistant as acrylic based varnish, so you may not be able to give the wall repeated cleaning.

There are specific patterns one looks for in writing and its clear it was written by same person. If I decided to do something similar, I'd at least tweak the handwriting of one of the participants to make it believable to people with at least average IQ
