Okpebholo1: The poll is largely accurate except for a few tweaks. I will swap Fct and Delta from tinubu to obi column and take cross river from Obi column. I will take Akwa ibom and nasarawa from Atiku's column and give him Jigawa and Sokoto
Another innacurracy is almost unforgivable......PETER OBI IS NOT THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF THE LABOUR PARTY!!
Makes one wonder if the whole thing wasn't cooked......
ProfesawFred: Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has lost her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan, who died on Monday while receiving treatment at a hospital in Zanzibar.
The death of Tanzania’s First Gentleman was officially announced by Vice-President Deogratius Ndejembi, according to the BBC.
Ndejembi said Ameir had been suffering from a heart condition and died at 8 am local time on Monday at Emilio Mzena Memorial Hospital in Zanzibar.
The Vice-President added that funeral arrangements were underway in Kizimkazi, a village on Zanzibar.
Ameir, an agricultural academic, largely kept a low public profile and rarely appeared alongside his wife at official events.
He became Tanzania’s first First Gentleman after Samia became president in March 2021.
The couple married in 1978, before Samia entered national politics, and had four children — three sons and a daughter. Their daughter, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, is a politician and serves in Zanzibar’s House of Representatives.
Ruto: Samia has lost a lifelong companion
Kenyan President William Ruto expressed his condolences to Samia in a message posted on his X account on Monday.
Ruto said: “I have received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, husband of Her Excellency Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania,”

Rubyjade: Honestly, this may look like “just a map,” but it is much bigger than that.
For generations, many of us grew up looking at maps where Africa appeared almost comparable in size to Greenland. Meanwhile, Africa is roughly 14 times larger than Greenland. When you see that distortion repeatedly—in classrooms, textbooks, offices and on screens—it can quietly shape how people understand the world.
That is why I support the #CorrectTheMap campaign.
Africa does not need anyone to make it look bigger than it is. We simply need it represented as it actually is. Facts don't need propaganda.
And this is not about saying the Mercator projection was created specifically to insult Africa. It was designed for particular navigational purposes, and map projections inevitably involve distortions. But when one particular projection becomes the default way generations of people visualize the world, the distortions deserve to be questioned.
The Equal Earth projection offers a much fairer representation of the actual surface area of continents and countries. That matters because maps are not merely drawings—they are educational tools that influence how we visualize geography and, to some extent, how we understand our place in the world.
So yes, Correct the Map.
Not because Africa needs special treatment.
Not because Africa wants to rewrite history.
But because if the map is supposed to represent the world, let the world be represented accurately.
And perhaps the bigger lesson is this: sometimes the things we have accepted as “normal” for generations deserve to be questioned.
Yeah, they're gonna "correct the map", but that's for us, not them.
Airlines never misjudged distances because the real info has always been used for flight plans, not the fake Mercator system.
Even when entering survey data, I'm sure the real data has been entered into the software (both the CAD and GPS firmware), otherwise, our roads would end up short. I'm sure you understand.
We'll feel good about it, though, that's for sure.
ManirBK: 164 nations voted yes. The UK, France, Germany – all yes. Even former colonial powers said it's time to correct the map. The United States? No. They called it "superfluous." | The hypocrisy is breathtaking. A nation that claims to lead the world on human rights and equality – but when it comes to showing Africa at its true size, they vote no. They say it's not necessary. But why? Because an accurate map doesn't serve their narrative? Africa is 14 times larger than Greenland. That's not politics – that's science. And the US just voted against science. The map is corrected. The US can stay on the wrong side of history. 🌍🇳🇬
Well.......I for one, have known for many years about the true size of Africa compared to the rest of the world, and, believe me, they all knew, and kept it as it was, even though they quietly used the real information for all flight data and GPS mapping.
The US called it "superfluous" because changing the map doesn't change much else, because the developed world has been using the real map the whole time!
Flight paths and plans, ETAs, fuelling of ships and aircraft, all have not failed because the real distances have always been used.
It's cool that kids will have new-sized maps to play with, that's all.
Marvieduke: In Kaduna, a young Muslim boy has recently gone viral for a rather disturbing reason.
Allegedly, he has been bringing random women to his bedroom for hookups, filming them, and then uploading the videos on his social media to shame and embarrass them for being "easy."
This act has sparked outrage and raised important questions about privacy, dignity, and the consequences of our actions.
The first and most obvious issue here is the vi0Iation of these women's privacy.
Each person has the right to personal dignity and privacy, and the act of filming someone without their consent and then sharing it publicly is a blatant infringement of these rights.
These women, who perhaps made a momentary decision they may regret, are now facing public humiliation and the potential long - term damage to their reputations.
Moreover, this behavior shows a lack of respect and empathy.
Instead of understanding that everyone makes mistakes and that these are complex human situations, the boy has chosen a path of cruelty.
His actions can have a deep - seated psychological impact on the women involved, leading to depression, anxiety, and a loss of self - esteem.
Some people say they don’t blame the guy, asking, “Who took the girl to the hotel in the first place?”
But let’s be honest, she trusted him, and that trust is what made her follow him there. What he did afterward was a complete betrayal of that trust recording the private moment… pic.twitter.com/QXoiKKa3HK

CodeTemplar: These northern folks are only tired of Tinubu partly because Atiku is now available and partly because the national cake is fast dwindling in output. Very anyhow mentality.
Atiku was on the 2023 ballot, Bro.....we're you asleep back then?
APC used the Mu-Mu ticket to press their mumu buttons. Now the format no work again, as better hunger don format their brain.
bigpicture001: I never told u ,I knew their monies before they settle the road agents..
U mean the amount after work per day..they make more than 30k daily
I know they make money, but a good portion of it is gone before the day ends. There's a train of people driving the same vehicles as well. A lot of them only drive for a few hours.l, and someone else takes over.
