Akanoaaa: Yeah, you're very right. Politics is a game of calculation. Both Adeleke and Ambo are from Osun west. Both Osogbo and Ife would prefer to give Adeleke another 4 years to have their own chances than to give Ambo another 8 years. It's all a game of interest. Your analysis may seem sound, bit it doesn't reflect the truth. The truth is, Adeleke really took care of Osun people. He cleared the Aregbe salary debt that Oyetola refused to touch. He doesn't owe salaries even after that. He ran more meaningful projects. State debt is reducing under his watch. The people of Osun voted performance, not sectarianism. The APC got that many votes from their lowball tactics and vote buying, not because the APC man was popular. He is totally unknown and was set to become Oyetola and Tinubu's stooge if he had won. |

D way u people dey reason self If his uncle loses, what's he lost? The political office that doesn't increase or reduce his personal brand? Are you trying to say there are things Davido could not do, but for the office he's holding? Try to get the way I'm reasoning. It's not too hard to do. Just try. If the APC seize control, Davido will not suffer. The people of Osun will, if the 12 years of APC rule were anything to go by. |

buygala: So since he is not around, who should stand and defend his uncle's votes?
You? He's less of a beneficiary of his uncle being governor than the ordinary people of Osun. He doesn't live there, the best thing he can do is visit. Those civil servants who were owed several months salaries by APC which Adeleke' government cleared, have enjoyed the state more than Davido. Don't tell me about money, Davido has been a USD millionaire for many years, before his uncle got there. |

buygala: These are both young and fit members of the Adeleke family, from which the incumbent Governor hails.
Davido in particular has prior to today's election, been very (sometimes very irritably) vocal about his support of his uncle Jackson Adeleke, even to the extent of insulting even a sitting Governor..
Now, online reports allege that Davido is in London for a show which was slated for Friday night (yesterday), meaning he is allegedly conveniently out of the country when he should step up and walk the talk....
So much shouting, but conveniently safe abroad when it matters most, so that his slaves he left in Osun will fight and die protecting his uncle's votes
If a Politician's family aren't willing to be around to vote for and defend their relative's votes, please don't allow yourself to become a statistic or casualty of attempted election rigging...Let Davido and his relatives come and protect Jackson's votes...After all, they benefited most from his Government.
If Jackson Adeleke did well for the people, he should win the election fair and square...If he hasn't, then he will be voted out Insha Allah.
As can be seen from various threads in frontpage this morning, the Federal Government is out for any baga who tries to rig or avail himself to be used for rigging...
Cast your vote and go home to your family...Don't go risk taking a bullet that isn't meant for you.
Let the Governor's kids and relatives come out and defend his votes, with or without their blood...
Let them lead from the front so that the rest of us can hide behind them when the FG's starts sharing its souvenir for election riggers and disrupters Walk which walk again? He has created all the awareness he can, he needs to live his life. If not for crooked politicians that remain active to rig on election day, all they are supposed to do is vote, and go wait for the results. Abi Davido should come and snatch ballot boxes like APC thugs? |

My opinion will be unpopular, but it's my experience, so I stand by it. However, don't use my experience as a yardstick for yours.
I'm a salary earner.
I married a businesswoman.
I stayed in a single room till marriage, then moved into a 3-bedroom flat, provided by my then employer, so no rent paid for almost the first year of marriage.
Well.......we moved into our own rented flat six months into marriage. Got around va korope and okada for the first 3 years, then bought our first car.
Almost 18 years in at this point. We've built our home, have a nice car (by modest standards), and are moving on in life.
When a man and his wife decide to work together, great things happen.
Cooperation and sacrifice will.move you forward. If you need to get better training to move up in your career, or invest in a business, it's by mutual agreement and sacrifice.
It's also important to note that family interference is bad for marrri age on so many levels. I imagine that if I had to pay my wife's family's bills, we won't be close to where we are today, but her family are all business people, doing well, while my family is made up of educated professionals, doing well in our fields.
This greatly helps.
Anyway, I know my case is very different from the average. So many people marry and start paying school fees, hospital bills, rent......they get strangled by the load that came with the marriage. |

Private refining is simply the way to go.
I'm eagerly awaiting a purely deregulated petroleum sector where one NNPC will not hold our country to ransom, with rumours of fantabulously large sums of money vanishing into thin air.
Whichever President manages to to this, will have his or her name written in gold, in the history of Nigeria.

I don't know about Islam, but Christianity says all shall stand judgment and each shall be rewarded according to their actions. You can't be religious on behalf of others. It's not done that way. Traoré understands that religion and nation-building are two different things. Go be religious, serve God, then come to the office, shop, hospital, market, site, or other workplace, and do your job. A true child of God will stand for truth, justice and fairness, which is a great boost to the workplace. We here, are so religious, yet corrupt as FUHCCK!! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Should Christian Couples Confess To Their Spouse When They Fall Into Adultery? by Jeezuzpick(m): 9:50am On Aug 09 |
ebubeson: If as a Christian married man or married woman you fall into adultery, should you confess to your spouse after you have asked God for forgiveness?
When you commit adultery or have sex with someone else outside your spouse, the first thing to do is to go to God for repentance, the next thing to do is to find a way your spouse should know about it.
You can go for counselling and meet trusted elders for reconciliation. Do not keep adultery as a secret from your spouse. God wants you to let it known to your spouse. It is restitution Confessing may end the marriage, depending on if the spouse is forgiving. If the marriage continues, the confession can slam the door on chances of doing it again. Hiding it will keep the door open for repeat cheating, which, as a Christian, we must know is not only a sin against our spouse, but against our own body, and our God. The best option is to not cheat, and pattern out life choices against such possibilities. Choice in jobs, education, friends, etc. can be made to ensure reduced chances of cheating. |

Romance › Re: 10 Signs Your Woman Has Lost Respect For You by Jeezuzpick(m): 8:47am On Aug 07 |
A woman cannot love a man and not respect him. She can pretend to respect him while not loving him, but not the other way around.
She might act in ways that her man may deem "disrespectful", like expecting him to do his own dishes, but that can easily be a result of the home she came from.
It all depends on what a man calls respect. A laid-back, relaxed, sanguine guy will let a lot more slide from his girl than a stuck-up choleric would.
However, when real respect is gone, as per your list up there, love has already left the room. In fact, it left the area code a long way back.
See, a lady will show respect for a man she doesn't love, just because of the stuff he provides (toys, security, fun, money, etc.), but if she begins to show real disrespect, she's not only stopped loving, but she's also done some calculations and decided she doesn't need the nigga.
So, I'll agree on one thing. She stops respecting you for real, it's over, whether you admit it or not.
Peace, out.
