badoh: In as much as I don't want to delve into this issue of Catholic Vs government, why are Catholic members threatening the govt as if their votes is enough to make someone the president of the country. Do they even know the number of worshippers in Pentecostal churches in Nigeria that can also swing votes for Tinubu? See some of them swearing and calling Pastor Adeboye name. If dem wan make it Catholic Vs Pentecostal, dem go know. Support your candidate and let others with good conscience also support their own candidate, don't use the pulpit or your office as an avenue to promote a particular candidate, everyone has their own choices to make in a democracy. Do you think pentecostals will see Tinubu and Obi and choose Tinubu? |

helinues: Can't those bishops mobilized their members and start telling them the reason why they shouldn't vote for the reelection of president Tinubu instead of disgracing themselves shooking mouth into politics The truth is that the Catholic bishops are speaking about the current reality in Nigeria. The truth,.also,.is that Catholic clergymen have been on the receiving end of violence, with many of them among the Nigerians so far kidnapped and killed. The most unfortunate truth, however, is there Peter Obi is a devout Catholic, and a Knight of the Vatican. There is no way the bishops can prove that this current engagement with the FG is not politically motivated, the truth notwithstanding. All the above being said, what do sensible Nigerians want? To continue on this same painful trajectory, with no end in sight in the foreseeable future? I hope not! |

Anyways. I know my classmates and my classmates know me. Both in university, secondary school and primary school. I also have all my certificates too.
A person that has no certificates to show, has no business presiding over this country. Desperate criminals unknown to any institution of learning are a disgrace.
If the lowest ranked recruit in the armed forces must present a document to show that he has had some form of learning and education, then anyone who purports to be their commander in chief must be seen to at least possess the minimum requirements of the office and also be above board in integrity and character. How can he be aggressive about something he knows of himself? From what I read up there, Seun himself admits to knowing Amaechi when they were in the University. |

The above was your comment right?
Or like Daniel Bwala, I should understand your comment from a "CONTEXTual" view? I hope you can clearly see the first word in what you quoted. Yeah. IF. I simply don't. So I keep my friends. I believe you are a Christian, judging from your comment.
Let's tilt this topic religiously: if you glorify yourself as a monogamous man, would you say the same to a friend or a brother who is a Muslim? How you you express your opinion without offending him or feeling odd?
I'm curious. I do not "glorify myself" as you have put it. I just feel infidelity is too much of a hassle for me. The above being said, Islam is a different kettle of fish. If I talk about this to a Muslim friend, I'd better prepare to lose him as a friend, because he will certainly be offended. I won't feel odd, because it's my faith. Funny enough, most of my Muslim friends (more than 90% of them) are monogamous, at least for now. Most have one wife. |
Christianity Etc › Re: God Is Not Involved In Elections, It Is A Competition Among Men - Pastor Dmaina by Jeezuzpick(m): 7:32am On Aug 04 |
Kenneth4u205: He is partially wrong and partially right. I will explain how it works. God made humans rulers here on earth. So he cannot directly get involved without man permission. So God usually suggests the best leader for a country in each election. It is then left for the inhabitants of that country to vote in that right leader or choose another of their choice. God will never force a president on a country. He only suggests and allow the people to make their decisions. But if the whole nation rise up in prayers and ask God to intervene, only then does he have the legal right to enforce a leader upon a country There are countries, like China, where God's people are persecuted. They pray everyday, but the majority will still vote for a Communist. In fact, the only party is the Communist party. The APC want to do the same thing here, as well. Turn us into a one-party state. |

Get knowledge. People will forget that this thread is about Christian truth, and utterances by a Christian Pastor. Nevertheless, we know, for instance, that Nigeria's democracy (such as it is) may never install a truly God-fearing person as President. |
Christianity Etc › Re: God Is Not Involved In Elections, It Is A Competition Among Men - Pastor Dmaina by Jeezuzpick(m): 7:26am On Aug 04 |
I'm liking thie Pastor even more!
God didn't invent democracy.
Democracy is a construct on man and it's totally against God. God reacted to calls for a King by His people by telling his servant Samuel that the people are rejecting Him and not Samuel.
Prior to that, God did everything supernaturally to protect His people. Several Kings led His people to sin.
Now imagine a democracy that sanctions abortion, euthanasia (legalized suicide), and transgenderism. Will America ever elect a real Christian, if he or she talks about faith during campaigns? Capital NO! |

Romance › Re: Is "Men Are Polygamous In Nature" A Fact Or Just An Excuse For Infidelity? by Jeezuzpick(m): 7:06am On Aug 04 |
It's just an excuse for infidelity.
There are lots of men who are faithful in marriage. By God's grace, I am a one-woman man.
In fact, how do these people even do it, with all the wahala of side chic? Hiding messages, wife must not see your phone, etc? It gets even worse when you have grown kids and they find out what you're doing.
Such a man will regret his life choices when he's old, and his kids all hate him.
I value my peace of mind too much to enter all that wahala
Of course, I do see really attractive ladies. I'm not blind. I just choose to do nothing with it. It's that simple.
For honest men who have peaceful homes, infidelity is not genetic. It's nothing more than succumbing to temptation, proving to yourself that you can still get a girl, or moving with the wrong friends who are already into it.
People who will quote me and express a contrary opinion are among the excuse makers. |

Dogalmighty17: This brief illness thing how come it doesn't kill the whites? The negligence and the glaring incompetence of our health workers is the reason why our hospitals are the death traps they currently are.
Just yesterday, news broke that Nigerian army soldiers had to break into the emergency department of UNN Teaching hospital to get them to attend to a heavily pregnant mother and her 5 year old child heavily bleeding from the head after they were hit by a truck. The hospital refused to attend to them until the soldiers had to intervene. As soon as the soldiers left, the doctors and workers on duty abandoned the woman and her child. Who told you white people don't die after a brief illness? While I agree that our health care system is not okay at all, brief illness doesn't respect race, o. People can pack up even before test results and a diagnosis are ready. |
