supereagle: Our attention has been drawn to news making the round that UBTH JOHESU EXCO members were involved in a road traffic accident today 19.05.2018 on their way to Auchi in Edo state.
While there was indeed a road traffic accident: ** the victims are neither UBTH JOHESU EXCO NOR MEMBERS**
We understand the desperation of the sponsors of this false news to always seek ways to score cheap points but we are saddened by the fact that they could descend so low as seeing the pain and anguish of the accident victims as something to be celebrated to the extent of uploading the pictures of this NIGERIANS IN PAIN to the whole world.
I want to state here again that this news is not correct as no UBTH JOHESU MEMBERS were involved in any kind of accident today and we shall by the GRACE OF GOD NOT BE INVOLVED IN ANY.
We want to advise ARD/NMA members to always check their facts and avoid rushing into conclusions so as not to continue spreading falsehoods to the general public.
They could have asked questions and get correct answers before painting the social media red with this lies.
I advice the NMA to avoid wishing JOHESU MEMBERS evil as evidenced by the way they celebrated this falsehood on the social media.
WE WISH THE VICTIMS OF THIS R.T.A A VERY QUICK RECOVERY.
WE ALSO APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PREVAIL ON THE MINISTERS OF HEALTH AND LABOUR TO QUICKLY PUT AN END TO THIS STRIKE BY DOING THE NEEDFUL.
GOD WILL CONTINUE TO PROTECT JOHESU MEMBERS. OUR DEMANDS ARE LEGITIMATE.
GOD BLESS JOHESU.
OSIGBEME AUGUSTINE Chairman, NANNM UBTH Lol. Johesu playing politics with everything even human lives. You will even deny your own members for salary increase. Truly the love of money is the root of all evil. |

HaneefahRN: Spreading falsehood. No JOHESU member was involved in that accident. May God grant healing to the people who were actually involved. Hmmm johesu nairaland chairman (lady) has spoken. Well I have even seen a johesu-ite that presented very late for the management of her dka because of johesu strike. |

DABMarkNig2019: You probably went to a school that doesn't offer pharmacy as a course so your pharmacology lecture is probably a pharmacologist so we understand...there's equally rivalry between us...Some even claim they have a better knowledge of pharmacy more than us so we understand. Lol. My pharmacy school is probably older than urs. and we don't have pharmacologists as lecturers. Just very few doctors and pharmacists. Profs |

emekatheo: Google always giving you half information. Thanks to Google but listen let me teach you for free. Paracetamol underGoes gluroronidation and sulfation to its conjugates (which I won't tell you) and these make up 95% of the excreted metabolites. However there is an alternative pathway which makes up the remaining 5%. It is the cytochrome p450 dependent glutathion conjugation pathway. I won't tell you the name of the metabolite so you can ask Google again and learn. So what you typed up there is trash.
Have you heard of Acetylcysteine and Methionine? Mr. Doctor!! Nice one mr. But how does this help a patient. Btw we know more than this. my pharmacology lecturers admitted medical students perform better than pharmacy students in pharmacology. |

[quote author=emekatheo post=67678181]Answer it 'PROFESSOR KNOW ALL'. Quack doctor. It's still basic pharmacology question of common paracetamol you prescribe everyday. Which medical school did you finish from please? I pity patients that come to see you. Which hospital do you even work in?[/quote But bro how does the mechanisms for elimination of 1g pcm help to save patients lives? no wonder pharmacists are limited to dispensing drugs and aba boys do better in drug biz. |

JohnNU: Hello Medical Students, please i need your advice, I am from Benue State and wants to read Nursing but presently i am confused about which University to choose between UNN and Unijos. I am desperately in need of your advice (JAMB cut offs, SSCE requirements, School Fees etc.) comparing the two. Ok.. jamb cut off is 200 I think, ssce is 5 credits in eng, mat, che, phy, bio; school fees unn about 113000 naira in all(including acceptance , accommodation and all), unijos is 60k or 75k or 125k depending on ur hostel preference. 45k if u don't want hostel etc. I'm only sure of unijos pls and I just gave minimum requirements. |

my analysis is simple. Minimum wage is #18000 and world extreme poverty line is #680 daily. This means if you are jobless or earning less than #20000 monthly you are extremely poor. Infact if you are earning #50000 with 4 children and or other dependent you are still extremely poor. So 45% is way too low. Got to be 80% |
