Saying Mbbs weighs more than a PhD simply shows how much of a slow poke you are! Did you read your medical texts at all or you just cram to get a pass. Many medical texts were written by authors with MD, PhD degrees. Today's world revolves around innovation and there is no novel innovation without cutting-edge RESEARCH! Enough said. I hold both and I must tell you that Mbbs is a joke compared to PhD. A PhD is an embodiment of rigorous research work which comes out with new knowledge - Novelty to the body of existing knowledge. Comparing a bachelors degree to a PhD is blasphemy!

Chief stop peddling falsehood. Which 500l med std will date a slowpoke. When we attend to you we are merely doing the boring task of clerkship. Boring because most of us don't enjoy it, but we must clerk you to get consultants to teach us. We get signed for clerking you otherwise my types will barely clerk. Clerking also helps us build the confidence which gradually makes us become the doctors you look forward to meeting in future.

in GOPD you said and that's under the supervision of a reg or a medical officer. Yes medical students clerk patients but that is never used in managing or making diagnosis. its solely for training and academic purposes. God sake how can a medical student who hasn't completed his pharmacology prescribe drugs? what institution allows that? Please we shouldn't run each other down cos of rivalry. How can the foremost institution in the middle belt allow such?

Don't mind the clown. He doesn't know what he is talking about. I doubt if he can differentiate a med std from a resident doc. A student may check his Hutchinson PDF sometimes when a patient complains of a symptom to help with clerkship. I was a student in juth until just a month ago so I know.
