Thanks and is there anything discarded apart from fish?

Blackbuddy:

Hi, some persons have stated that they had dried fish in their luggage removed by the authorities in Cairo. Please note that I stated some as others were fortunate to land here with their fish package intact. All the best with your trip.

I intend landing next month and I am fortunate to see a cheap flight on Egypt air but I think I heard something bad about them discarding foods. Can someone tell me what I can't take on the flight and do I need to check-in again at Cairo airport?

Good day people.

1. Where can I buy health insurance for family of three? Cheap and affordable options pls. We are landing next month

2. My daughter will need to complete her immunization in February 2019 (one year). Will I have to pay for her to get the immunization if we've not got our health card?

3. Any advice of which medication to bring to Canada to avoid stories that touch?

My POF is in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Should I bring it like that or I should change it to USD?

I'm conscious of getting a good exchange rate

Why would people go for Medicals from 8am and leave 4pm in Nigeria? I did mine in UK and I spent just 20 minutes to get ieverything done.

Is it not the same medicals for CIC, or Nigeria medicals is different from UK medicals?

Hello Guys, I submitted my application in December 2017 but just received an update saying I'd be invited for an interview in Accra.

Is anyone in the same boat and what can I expect?

Thanks

IELTS/ITA is important, PPR is IMPORTANTER.

This PPR rain just overwhelming, seems everyone on Nairaland will get PPR before the year runs out. Congrats to all

Meanwhile, yours truly will soon land in Maple land. I need to connect with those landed seniors, Toronto and Saska on my mind.

Long post alert ...

It all started in 2016 when I was about traveling to Afghanistan. As a WHO intern in a health related mission, I was very happy with the job. But then the mission to Afghanistan. Initially, I was very pessimistic about what to expect from the journey, but the cash benefit was too good to ignore. I had to grab the offer when it was presented by my boss.
Then I had already aced my IELTS on first setting maxing out CLB 10 on all modules. I was ecstatic. But the scores for that year (2016) was between 460 and above. I was having less.

I jettisoned the idea to immigrate to Canada and concentrated fully on the task ahead... Trip to Afghanistan.

The fear of Al-qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram etc were constantly resounding in my head. But I was determined and ready to face the challenge head on.

Two weeks to our departure date, my girlfriend/fiance called and told me she was pregnant and that the parents are already aware...

...

...

To be Continued...

It's page 419.

I just dey watch una raised eyebrows and pupil in 3D.

These things are jewelleries that are expensive. The only thing I got is the cheapest of all the things I bought

Thanks
Dwebb55:

Your decision to study once you get to Canada is one that I must commend and don't think you will regret. I don't think your cgpa will disbar you from your pursuit but I will advise that you find out more when you are on ground in Canada. There are many other opportunities you can take advantage of and some forms of sponsorship or scholarship that you can partake of.

Another way to get Canadian experience might be to look at doing a PhD but these choices are all open and let no one discourage you of such. The worst that can come from any application is to hear no and even then there are still other options open!

Hello people,

I am a recent Canada PR holder and I am looking at going for MSc when I land in Canada soon. However, I am not sure if my CGPA of 3.10/5.0 (Second class lower) can get me admission for MSc.

I have five publications and another MSc from UK with distinction.
I intend going for MSc in Medical Microbiology or any Microbiology related course.

Please, don't ask me why another masters, it is my choice. Just attend to my query pls.

Thanks guys

You need UCI with PPR evidence, at least
Zeiya:

Please did you use your UCI number only or with COPR to attend the courses?
I have the new UCI but still waiting for my PPR, will I be allowed to attend the courses? I need something to be doing to keep busy

For question one, no need for CSE. I had two visa refusals post-AOR and got two visas post-AOR, didn't raise CSE and I got PPR without hitch.

Don't know second question
jergins:
Hello House,

I have two questions here,

1. I already submitted my application in August but in September, I went for US Visa interview and I was denied, DO I need to notify CIC by raising CSE or it doesn't matter since the refusal came a month plus after refusal.

2. I used a FD Certificate in my spouse name(accompanying) as part of the POF. Should I have also included Gift Deeds, If Yes, Should I raise CSE to include now.

Hello people, need your advice.

Is it advisable to go to Driving school when I am planning to land in Canada by end of November by God's grace? Because I don't see the possibility of getting a Driver's license before leaving Nigeria.

Kindly tell me the pros and cons of taking a month driving lesson in Nigeria. Don't want to waste my shikini money that I can invest on winter jackets

Hello fellow Afro-Canadians, kindly advise please.

I have a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree from Nigeria and I practised as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (3 years) and Biomedical Scientist (1 year) in Nigeria and UK respectively.

I got a MSc degree from the UK in Environmental and Public Health with little knowledge of public health practice compared to my extensive experience in medical laboratory science.

My NOC is Medical Laboratory Technologist and I will need to get certification to practice as one in Canada which can take 1 - 2 years.

Is there possibility of getting job with Public Health agency in Canada with my degrees, what are the things I need to consider and where is the best place/websites to search for public health jobs because they are mostly government jobs? Also, how can I explore international NGO and organizations jobs such as WHO, UNICEF etc in Canada.

Expecting to land in November by God's grace and more questions come concerning family life.

Thanks
