Please, what's the average time from receipt of passport by AVO to issuance of visa and COPR and back to the applicant?

Want to know before I request change of PPR letter from LVO to AVO. I don't want AVO hypertension

Thanks for this

salford:

based on my experience here. i cant answer all as i dont know the answer.
1. All over Canada. Luck and opportunity really dictates how fast you can find some jobs. Location would matter too. Some jobs are just non existent in some areas while you would find in others.

2. smaller provinces and cities are usually cheaper to live in. Mla jobs would be less competitive in smaller cities than bigger cities. i met a Palestinian man some years ago in a very small city in saskatchewan. His family lives in toronto. I asked him why he was in that small city. His answer was that MLT jobs were highly competitive in the big city and he could not get a job.

3. Easy if you have a strong cgpa usually from your last two years of UNi. I mean it has to be very strong as you would be in competition with studenta from all over the world.

4. That would be Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia in that order.

5. i lost contact with the palestinian man.

Help me people.

My nominated occupation is Medical Laboratory Technologist but I will need to do certification to practice as one and this can take two years or more to get it done.

I intend doing a lesser job, Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) or Research technician job when I get to Canada. MLA requires certification in some provinces and cities while it doesn't in some.

1. Can someone advise me on where I can get MLA positions without certification?

2. Best provinces or city for newcomers on a tight budget and at the same time, able to get MLA job?

3.How easy it is to get a funded MSc or PhD program in one of the universities because attaining the highest academic qualification is one of my plans. Want to go into academics last last?

4. Which province or city has more Biotechnology companies?

5. Anyone working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Assistant here? Or if you know anyone working as one, do connect me pls

Hope to land in Canada in January by God's grace

Thanks my people...

Canadians here,

I sent a mail to LVO requesting to send my passport to Accra around 3.00am today, they've not responded and 30 days given to me to send passport has started counting.

What should I do? Village people cannot get me at this stage

ABRIDGED PPR STORY

The hustle started in 2016 with Australia. I later ditched it.

Australia credential evaluation - December 2016
Australia ITA - September 26th 2017
ITA expired - November 25th 2017 (Lost interest in their 489 visa cos I want permanent)

1st IELTS - August 2016 (LRWS - 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 8.0) Used for Aussie
2nd IELTS - October 2017 (LRWS - 8.0, 6.0, 7.5, 8.0)
3rd IELTS - December 2017 (LRWS - 7.0, 8.0, 7.5, 8.0)
4th IELTS - January 2018 (LRWS - 8.5, 9.0, 7.5, 8.0)

Canada ITA - Feb 7th
AOR - May 5th
MEP - Like one week after
RPRF - May 23rd ( Although, I paid it upfront)
IP2 - June 27th
PPR - September 19th
COPR - October 22nd

LVO gang when I called IRCC

I applied from the UK.

1st GCMS - June 6th (Got it after 30 days)
2nd GCMS - July 25th (Got it almost three months after)
3rd GCMS - September 14th

From AOR to PPR, I was refused Canada visit visa, USA and New Zealand students visas. Within the same period, I got one USA student visa and one New Zealand student visa. Don't ask me how.

Thanks to my beautiful senior HappyTBaby, Newmum, Elfann, in fact, everyone on Nairaland because my worries were sine qua non.

As they've already said, it is not my PPR, it is our PPR.

Please, where can I get cheap flight? Saskatchewan bound

5k dollars or #5k? If it is the former, let someone send it via DHL if no one is coming to your location soon. If it is the latter, go see your doctor.
biggeorge700:
Anyone in the USA or anyone coming to Florida or Miami anytime soon that can help with some antimalaria please? . I left Nigeria about two weeks ago. Forgot to treat malaria before I left. Didn’t bring no medication neither. Now they won’t sell over the counter without a doctor’s prescription, doctor won’t talk to you except you have insurance or ready to part with 5k per session with a doctor here in Miami. Worse still, they might quarantine you if they hear you say malaria. Please don’t make the same mistake. But then again, who’s willing to help with some antimalaria medications? Da**!

It is possible. Embassy know that many of us come for interview with SOA worth millions all in the name of "He is my uncle or aunt".

Go there with a genuine SOA and profile the account holder well when the VO ask you

Registra111:
Hello house!!
Is it possible to use the SOA of someone you are not related to for a visa interview??
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by jelmusboy(m): 5:17pm On Sep 11, 2018
Yes, it is suitable
harriseen:
Hello good people of Nairaland. Great work you guys are doing here. Pls my interview is next week and I got a problem. My sponsor is out of the country on a business trip and may not be back before my interview to make a request for a fresh SOA at the bank. I, however, have one dated August 09. Pls would this be suitable.

Help a brother pls.

Thanks in advance!

It is not fair at all. There is big difference between clinical Haematology and laboratory haematology. I did a bit of the latter bit my core speciality is Medical Microbiology.

Only a consultant haematologist with PhD can answer those questions and get 25.
Emeritusseun:

Bro, haba...it is a bit fair na. I used to think haematology is one of ur stuff. And it should purely clinical haematology. Unless you will need to educate me. So you didn't do more of clinical haematology during your training. Anyway, you know best.

Bro, I tire ooo. I'm a Medical Laboratory Scientist and we were all given clinical haematology question. Going for PhD in Bioenvironmental Science
Emeritusseun:

Bsc Anatomy....Anatomy related questions and small community medicine questions.

But if you are not a doctor, how would dey give you clinical haematology questions na...Abi u tell dem say you wan do Clinical haematology for PhD
Education / Re: 2018 NDDC MSC And PHD Scholarship Application by jelmusboy(m): 9:43am On Sep 09, 2018
Not a doctor also and they gave me clinical haematology. Is it because am going for PhD?
What's your first degree and what's your test questions like?
Emeritusseun:

Nope. Am not a doctor
Education / Re: 2018 NDDC MSC And PHD Scholarship Application by jelmusboy(m): 8:10am On Sep 09, 2018
You did the clinical haematology test for medical science?
Emeritusseun:
Been invited for orals. Medical science... Scored 28!...Ondo....
Education / Re: 2018 NDDC MSC And PHD Scholarship Application by jelmusboy(m): 10:08pm On Sep 07, 2018
If the Medical Sciences is the Clinical Haematology that I did, it is either the person have seen the question before the test or he is a consultant haematologist with a PhD in Haematology and currently a lecturer. Aside that, I can vouch that nobody can score 25 in that Haematology.

NDDC injure Medical Science applicants.
BRAINNY:

Someone scored 48 in Medical Sciences. However, unconfirmed report has it that it was announced in the Hall this morning that cut off is going to be from 20 and that interviews are slated to commence on Monday.

One of my guys just got in for the 11am set. Once he's done, he'll authenticate or disapprove the initial info. Keep your fingers crossed.

Education / Re: 2018 NDDC MSC And PHD Scholarship Application by jelmusboy(m): 6:39pm On Sep 03, 2018
Same thing he told me, just confused on the yardstick they used for shortlisting despite submitting all documents
Oluwaafunmilola:

I am a PhD applicant and I didn't get an invite. When I contacted Mr Godson he replied thus:

"Emails and sms has been sent to all successful applicants"

So I guess that means they are through with shortlisting process.
