Mancala:Thank you. MuchAdo:Please see the bolded and if the sense in that statement flies pass your head, then I don't know what else to say |
In some cultures, the Ada(first daughter) would dance around holding the picture of the deceased. Maybe it's same in her culture |
Snaagg:Move back to do what? to live in insanity? Why would anyone living legally in a sane country want to relocate to Nigeria? Not everyone who has left Nigeria, left for financial reasons. Some are/were quite comfortable in Nigeria. There is just this peace of mind you get living in a country where the Government cares about EVERY SINGLE LIFE in the country. A country where they do not ask you for "deposit before treatment" when you visit the hospital. This pandemic has reset many people's brain back to factory settings. Billions of Naira was supposed to be shared amongst the Citizens to sustain them throughout this period. How many people received that money? where is the record? didn't "fire" gut the office where they claimed "proof of distribution funds" were being kept? You are asking who is considering relocating...ARE WE A JOKE TO YOU? Everything is wrong with Nigeria, I swear. Every damn thing. |
MuchAdo:.....but you haven't answered the question? Where do you stay? you don't have to answer but no need beating around the bush with fantasy statements |
Months back I posted about my niece who got her visa in January a month after application. I am her sponsor. Landing gist Booking her a flight was hectic. The only airlines I saw that did not require a transit visa was Egypt and Ethopian. I tried Emirates but no way so I opted for Egypt. Her flight left Lagos at around 2 with a layover of just below 5 hours in Cairo. She got to Toronto in the morning. VO; What's your name Niece: xyz VO: Why are you in Canada? Niece:to study VO: Have you paid fees Niece: No VO: why Niece: due by first day of class VO: but you should still have paid Niece: but I have until the 1st day of class so I can still pay anytime VO: Hmmm you are bold Niece: thanks VO: bank statement please Niece: *hands him bank statement* VO: how are you related to your sponsor Niece: she's my aunt VO: okay. Welcome to Canada here is your study permit I hope this helps. I am so proud of my niece. I was supppsed to meet her in Nigeria and fly to Toronto with her but I couldn't ad planned so I prepped her over the phone. I hope this helps someone |
Stencil:I feel your pain PS why the spoilers on this thread though. Let people watch first ni. Thank goodness I am not so active on NLD anymore. I just saw a comment where someone basically gave a summary of the movie. Thank God I have already watched it |
chigo4u:Now this is what I am talking about. I have not lived in Canada(though considering it) but I have lived in Germany. I have been told that Canada is kinda similar to the country I live in, so bear in mind that my opinion of Canada might not be accurate 1. Germany was not favourable to me. As a professional, I couldn't climb up the ladder because of my skin color. I always felt caged...like I shouldn't be where I was. So I left. I am a career hustler not business hustler, so it was a struggle. But there are a lot of business minded Nigerians in Germany who are doing very well for themselves. 2. If you have the choice of Canada's skilled migration, I would strongly advise you go for it. It is so much better. There are a lot of German backpackers in Australia who are fighting not to go back to Germany. Having a PR gives one peace of mind. Canada has made that possible. There is that peace of mind of not worrying how to go from a work visa/permit to PR...what if the law changes before your time and stuff things up for you? 3. Finding a menial job was a challenge in Germany. I finally found one in a warehouse that paid sh!t money. 4. I think Canada. I had a nurse friend in Germany who moved to Canada and told me, after a few years when we reconnected, that she earned twice as much in Canada than she did in Germany. Health workers during my time were not paid well in Germany...I don't know about other fields. 5. Racism: I can only speak to Germany. The racism I experienced there was bad. I remember being on a train once and over heard two Germans talking and one of them said "Ich hasse diese Schwartzen" (I hate these blacks). I have never experienced that kind of racism anywhere else. I have friends in Canada who are managers/supervisors in their various fields. Things are mostly done by merit in Canada...I think. I don't know how many years a black man can work in Germany before being made Manager over them Germans 6. Security: I can't answer that one...but from the news and as long as Angela Merkel continues to let all them insane immigrants in, Germany is in trouble....but recently a colleague who has Canadian PR, recently returned from a trip and told me that there is so much violence in Canada that we on the other side of the world do not get hear about. She said there was always one stabbing or the other in Canada...don't know how true that is 7. Weather: Germany has the better weather most definitely ![]() I will never live in Germany again...It did not work for me but hey it might work for you All in all..... it is important we all migrate legally |
Ijebuboy525:Hi, I don't do DMs or emails......because I don't remember my password ![]() |
Stevenssen:It is a beautiful country |
mcobex:Thank you. That's the plan She would need to go to her first school, withdraw and then travel to the preferred school. I was just wondering if anyone here has done same |
@Ifeoma77 Your PPR email will be sent to you soon. Whether devil likes it or not |
I beg una has anyone successfully changed course upon arrival to Canada? My Niece wants to change from Environmental science to Nursing |
I am good with Number 10 |
Emmyirab:Yea, I thought as much. Thanks. She submitted her passport and has been told it's ready for collection princekins:No. I live in Australia. She has cousins(of same/similar age) in Canada and that's why she chose Canada. "Me", I am too old to be her friend ![]() |
Frankrobbn1:You are correct. Thanks will let her know about the congratulatory message @all Is there a passport processing fee involved in submission of passport at vfs office? Apologies if this question has already been answered. I read somewhere on the vfs website that if passport is submitted at same place where biometrics was done, the applicant would not pay transmission fees |
mcobex:You are right though. God help Nigeria. My prayer is that everyone will one day experience a working system. What I meant by less is more is, sometimes the more information we give, the more they scrutinize. I know people have been denied visas citing lack of sufficient funds as a reason, people with 100million in their account have also been refused visa, no one size fits all. I thought about getting a statement of all my accounts but thought against it. I personally(my opinion)wouldn't use an acct with say 100 million or even 50 million in it to apply for a student visa. If I was a VO I would say to myself "this person is trying too hard" Again, that's just me ooo. By the way my niece is in Nigeria. |
princekins:Hi, 1. I am her sponsor. She is my niece 2. She paid nothing. Not a cent. Hang on, I think we only paid application fee(100CAD or so) for the course but no fees no nothing 3. One thing I have learned in my years in obodo oyibo is sometimes less is more. I only showed proof of 1 yr tuition/ living expenses as per their requirement. To answer your question, her one year living expenses/tutition e.t.c is about 6.5 million Naira. I had that amount in one of my accounts so I used that account. I did not provide statements of all my bank accounts. Just the one I printed out bank statement online and submitted. No bank stamp on the statement just regular online statement |
042viber12:Thank you. Undergraduate in Environmental science but she wants to change to nursing. She is just 17 Yes it was super fast. She is elated |
So I applied for my niece and I thought I should share her timeline here Online application Aor: December 7 2018 Biometrics request: December 7 2018 Biometrics completed: december 11 2018 January 21: request for deferral letter. January 24: submitted deferral letter(deferred to September 2019) January 31: biometrics validity correspondence letter February 1st: PPR(dated 31st January) VO: Kenya |
EfemenaXY:My sugar bunny. I miss you more. How are you and yours |
@sistaj Maybe you should step aside and let someone else try-do you have friends or relatives that can try? I don't know how it works over there, so just asking. Sometimes when people hit road block like this, they need to take a step back and let someone else try(in that person's own way) and see if they can get good result. You are thinking of staying at a shelter. You need to let someone else try this house hunt of a thing. You don't have to control everything I wish you God's favour |
bomasek: kemicalreaction:Shallow minds. You all think people leave Nigeria for financial reasons. I pray all you team #500k do not fall seriously sick in Nigeria and require dialysis, radiotherapy or chemo. We will see how far 500k will go towards your treatment plus your other bills Ndi iberibe |
ShininLite:Advise to both men and women. If marriage isnt working out, find a way out. You are not a loser, a failure or disappointment. I remember my late dad used to pray for his girls to marry men that will a). Not fight to tame their star, b) not make them feel that being strong is a crime c) that will "give" them so much freedom. Never understood what he meant by freedom until years (almost a decade) later. There is this kind of freedom you will have in a relationship ehn, people who do not understand will think you used one juju or the other. Freedom to make some decisions without even consulting your other half(strange I know) because he or she trusts you to make the right one....if you made the wrong decision, they laugh and joke about it and encourage you to make the right one next time. Let your partner be your biggest cheerleader. My dear women, please find yourself feminist Back to topic biko BTW I am on this thread because I have two family members moving to Canada soon Enjoy the below video on marriage/relationship ![]() https://www.facebook.com/1396991720561689/posts/2172859169641603/ |
Ifeoma77:Is the second guy Nigerian? the sense is too much ![]() |
^^^^ Onye ara ![]() |
armyofone:Happy holidayssss KanwuliaExtra:You sure say no be the same mama born us Happy holidays Kanwuliwuli |
TheCongo2:TheCongo |
SkyWalk12:Exactly.....the irony though when it is a Christian claiming holy holy. As long as you are committing one sin or the other, you have no right to point fingers at people. I work with people who identify as LGBTQIA. Some of these people have opened their doors for me to enter their country. I stopped talking to one muslim woman who was invited(by another christian family) to our church's end of year and she was there talking about how being gay is a sin and the 14years sentence in Nigeria. Her husband couldn't get funding so they had to leave the country. Good riddance. Now they are fighting to come back. Stay in Naija and practice Sharia biko I really do not care about anyone's sexuality as long as they are not hurting anyone. Imagine someone living with a boyfriend and talking about how being gay is a sin. Living with a person you are not married to or fornicating isn't a sin? since na you practice christianity pass ![]() If I owned a company tomorrow, and a gay person applied for a job and interviewed very well better than an heterosexual person, be rest assured I am offering the former the job. Make them carry me go Mountain of fire for deliverance if them wish . |
Sagamite:Oloshi ![]() |
Zutlin:The exact same thing I told a Kenyan colleague last month. So anti LGBTQIA. I advised her to go back to Kenya and practice holiness with the rest of her holy Kenyans. I will never get it. Leave the damn country. Many Africans have asked me why I have "forgotten" my values because I refuse to join "teamholierthanthou". So shallow minded. I swear I learn more when I am not surrounded by my own people. The stupid Kenyan girl was busy preaching holiness meanwhile she is shacking up with a man that hasn't paid her bride price. I asked her how she was better than them in the eyes of God. It's annoying because it is the so called Christians that are anti LGBTQIA but are busy "commiting" their own "small" sin left right and centre. You live in their country. Accept them or GTFO of their country Hypocrites |
I myself found out one way or the other and just decided to take advantage. Some other person would have snubbed... :-
