It was a touching sight on Monday as the remains of a policewoman, Remilekun Adeyanju, attached to the Isanlu Police Station in Kogi State, were interred at a cemetery.

The amendment to the charges announced at the Federal High Court in Abuja by the prosecuting counsel, Mr Shuaibu Labaran, on Monday, came days after the AGF took over the case from the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, on June 3, 2020.

The soldiers, whose names were removed in the amended charges are Captain Tijjani Balarabe; Staff Sgt. David Isaiah; Sgt. Ibrahim Mohammed; Corporal Bartholomew Obanye; Private Mohammed Nura; Lance Corporal Okorozie Gideon; Corporal Markus Michael; L/Corporal Nvenaweimoeimi Akpagra; Staff Sgt. Abdullahi Adamu, and Private Ebele Emmanuel.

Following the approval of the amendment by Justice Binta Nyako, the amended 13 counts were read to the remaining seven defendants who pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The remaining defendants arraigned were Inspector Aliyu Dadje, who was a station officer at police headquarters in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, Wadume, Auwalu Bala, aka Omo Razor, Uba Bala ; Bashir Waziri, ; Zubairu Abdullahi ; Hafizu Bala ; and Rayyanu Abdul.

Doctors to begin nationwide strike next week The National Association of Resident Doctors, the umbrella body of all doctors working in government health facilities, has issued a notice of strike effective Monday, June 15, 2020.

The association said the call to strike also includes doctors attending to Covid-19 patients and other energencies.

Sokomba said the action had become necessary due to the failure of the government to redeem its pledges especially in the area of salary arrears and working conditions.

The letter read in part, The strike shall therefore be total and indefinite.

A coalition of 18 trade unions at the Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, has protested against the alleged imposition of illegal levies on traders by the Iyaloja General, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo. The PUNCH gathered that traders at the ICT hub started the protest last Monday and shut the market pending the resolution of the issues.

The spokesperson for the coalition of trade unions in Computer Village, Nonso Bethel, said some hoodlums working for the new leaders, started charging outrageous sums.

Bethel said the traders endured the charges until the traders were asked to start paying N50 every day.

However, our correspondent gathered that leaders of the coalition were in a meeting with Tinubu-Ojo to resolve the issues.

Jaiz Bank Plc has announced a Profit After Tax of N2.4 billion for the 2019 financial year ended December 31.

The performance represented a leap of 193 per cent, from the N834.4 million realised in the corresponding period of 2018.

Gross income grew by 80 per cent to N13.5 billion, from N7.5 billion in the previous year.

The banks total assets also grew by 54 per cent to N167.27 billion from N108.46 billion.

According to a statement, the banks Profit Before Tax for the period under review stood at N2.1 billion, representing 135 per cent growth when compared to N879.7 million in 2018.

The mum of three young sons, Josiah, Soul and Love, revealed she had previously had s£x with her then-husband while feeding her newborn.

She said: "From what I remember, I remember sleeping with my ex-husband and my son was on me breastfeeding and we would have s£x from behind or something.

"There’s nothing bad about making love at all, ever."


Even though she made the original comments years ago, she has continued to face a barrage of criticism for her "wrong" and "incestuous" beliefs ever since.

So the vegan YouTuber recently revisited the topic to slam critics who weren't having any of it.

In a recent follow-up video, she attempted to clarify what she meant.

She said: "My three-month-old would not allow me to put him down at all. So he was attached to me 24/7.

"So we did it whilst he was sleeping next to me or on me."

Tasha's original clip racked up over 3 million views, with commenters quick to criticise the hippy mum's parenting style.
