Rev 16: 8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. |

kevoh: Come and detain me na.
Let's start with the ark. How is it scientifically possible for the ark to have contained all the animals in the world given that it is hardly as big as the titanic? What did the carnivorous animals on board feed on? What about termites that love wood, what were they feeding on? So how did Noah and his three sons manage to cut huge logs of wood and transport to the ark building site? So many questions to ask but don't wish to waste my time on it as this has been trashed countless times on Nairaland. It's a good thing the answers to this has been in existence before you were born. I would have love to but don't have that time. Your answers are available online. I can even make the question harder. How did all the animals (although not all on the planet..that's another discussion) how did they line up in pairs at the ark? Who brought them? Was it the power of God that did that? If the power of God was able to do that, then the questions above are silly. 3 million Israelites left Egypt, non of them became sick during their long days of journey and their garments never became old or worn out the bible said. Elijah ran faster than chariots, Samson lifted the gate of a whole city and carried it to a high mountain upon his shoulders, Daniel slept with lions and his friends walked around in fire. Problem with unbelievers is too much so called education in this age. They think they have it all figured out and everything must follow their own pattern of perceived logic. As the scripture said: 2 Tim 3:7 7always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. |

pmoye: Good question. Except the Earth is not a close system in a strictly thermodynamic science. It is merely assumed to be. The Universe is what better describes a close system and not the Earth. In fact, the mere fact that the Earth gets irradiated everyday by solar energy from the Sun (which is outside of the Earth) is the easiest proof that the Earth is not a close system. In a close system, energy is supposed to be religiously conserved: no energy gain and no energy loss.
If the Universe is indeed proven to be the only time-space that exists, then the Universe is the one that is a close system. I think the Earth is an open system even though thermodynamics law are pretty much relevant even at its level. But, it is not a perfect close system.
But you're right. That's the first question that came to my mind as well. Where exactly did the water go? Such huge body of water that must have submerged the highest ancient mountains. I am really curious to read the explanation for that. @FuckThaMod Some part of the waters became the sky/firmament. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good. |

Ashley86400: They like the "science" of the bible better. So if the bible says they were made out of green cheese, they were made out of green cheese. . . But amazingly the bible already said things scientists are just now discovering. So I wonder who these blacks should focus on more. |

kevoh: Which of the religions are you talking of? Is it the Judeo-Christian one? If yes, then barely one chapter later in their holy book, it had already started disagreeing with science.
By the time you get to Noah's ark and the flood story, both have already gone their separate ways.
Don't force it. Just let science be what it is, knowledge based on facts gathered through observation and experimentation and let the Bible stories be what they are, a moral guide for its adherents. Don't try to marry both of them forcefully as it will only end up exposing inconsistencies that lie within the Bible. I will not let you go so easily. Please enlighten us about the inconsistency of the flood and science. |

1.In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2.Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
The Bible has said it all but ppl choose not to believe. People have seen the attributes of God especially in this age. I wonder what excuse they will give on the last day. |

tsephanyah: Close to 500,000 people die worldwide from the flu each year. Get a grip people. Also underlying health issues make them acceptable. Move on nothing here to see. Influenza and viruses are among us all of the time. They all have a mortality rate, mostly for the young, old and immune compromised people. We don’t quarantine cities, shut down factories, stop going to work, stay off the streets, stop shopping just because it is flu season every year. Standard health precautions should apply, as for every other virus. There is so much inaccurate data being spread by the media and fear mongering that almost seems a sick sport. Stop spamming nonsense. |

study ur Bible well ..not the content but the context
this is how many Christian misinterpret the passage "judge not so thou not to be judged" they mix chastening with condemnation
didn't our master Christ label the Pharisees names that are relative to their wicked intentions and ungodly ways.
its by love and responsibility as an ambassador of Christ I even pass this message. i read your intention op here. as Christ does u must learn peoples motives b4 choosing whether or not to answer them or how u will deliver the message (truth) Christ wasn't always gentle with his words especially to those that weren't seeking truth but argument..
so correct your posture when talking to such people remember the teaching of casting ur pearls towards dogs and swine..
understand context not content. if one behaves like a thief u call him thief if one behaves like a fool u begin to misinterpret context You my friend are one of the few wise ones in this country. You learnt how to rightly divide the word of truth. |

Astark: I know very much you are not a Barcelona fan, you are a rival fan that want Barca to fail and I understand how painful it is seeing Messi in Barca.
Ronaldo asked for a pay raise in Madrid and threaten to leave if his wish wasn't granted, Perez threw him out because he wasn't important and even gave his number 7 Jersey to another player.
That's the difference between a loyal and a merchandise, Messi is even more powerful than the club president because he was there when Barcelona was nothing (like arsenal) and help us to become the most valuable club and biggest club in the world.
If Messi was to leave Barcelona, trust me even la Liga would dropped, their sales on clothes and other deals will be seriously affected.
The fans(Barcelona has the highest of fans attending their match) will drop.
So don't dare compare Messi to other players See blatant lie this guy just spilled here. We know you are a sentimental Messi fan but dont give such lies about Ronaldo such as you gave up there. Ahnahn..some Nigerians can arrogantly lie. |

So they can push their satanic agendas, totally put God out of schools, push the LGBT agendas, totally turn America away from God and thereby increase the wrath of God on the blessed Nation.
They will not prevail.
The Mercy of God has brought Trump at such a time as these so His judgement can be delayed and people given a chance to repent.
When Trump leaves then persecution will start, evil will be allowed free reign for a time then the measure of sins would have been filled up and then comes the judgement.
Oh! the ways of God are past finding out. |

chrisxxx: Those who are using what is happening as a sign of end time know little of history. The world is relatively at peace now. It terms of barbarism the world is going more civilized. Things happening had happened worst before. Go back to history. The difference between then and now is that things such as barbarism, terrorism was not wide spread on the earth. They usually happened in specific locations which did not affect other parts of the earth. In our day, evil is widespread such that what affects other countries has a ripple effect on other continents. Take for instance the Iran VS U.S issue..all other countries had to also be on high alert. This was not so in the past. When two nations faced each other it was just those two nations. Now we have terrorism in every part of the world. |
