stone07: What a great lier is this poster. How wll someone give 12yrs old girl 43 strokes of cane.Forum let us reason nah. This is not possible wen d teacher is not boko haram. My brother, please don't be naive. We are talking about human beings. As much as we are capable of good and kind things, there are some of us who are just intrinsically evil. Younger children have been raped to death before so this is not implausible. |
eagle, eye:I have taken more than 100 from my father. Good times... |
Paschal007: Lol you're an atheist? What's with the username?Just having fun. Have you checked my profile? |
Physical abuse is uncalled for. Although I am an atheist, I unequivocally believe that folks should be allowed to practice their religions, as long as they are hurting no one. At least, they did not bomb her. That is what Muslims would have done to someone they did not agree with. |
^ I tire jare. Maybe our great-great-great grand children will fare better. You just remind me of all the assaults that Nigerian actors and screenwriters have dished out on the English language. It should be a crime. ![]() |
I ain't dying for no one. Olorun maje. |
LMAO. Mr. Cork, you too much. |
Afam4eva: Why would someone open a website that spreads false news? na so people need money and relevance reach? Some people deserve to be in jail.It is satire. Chill, abeg. |
^ Chei, you are funny. |
@Villageboi And you are right, if a Nigerian ever wins an Oscar, we no go hear word for life. ![]() |
@VillageBoi I understand all your points and I agree with so many of them. Our chief concern is that our standards are measured against that of the western world. We always look to them for approval and we are neither creative nor imaginative in coming up with novel ideas. Of course, our current movies are nothing to write home about. They are embarrassingly egregious and unprofessional. Why couldn't we have given our film industry any name apart from Nollywood? There is no place in Nigeria called "Nollywood"; however, there is an Hollywood in California. I would like to live to an age where Westerners want to excel like us, where they dream of achieving greatness in a particular field like us, and when coming to our country will be a dream fulfilled. I doubt it will happen in my lifetime, because I am a realistic person. I also doubt any of our actors will win an Academy Award, with their current level of acting. My brother, e bad no be small. |
VillageBoi: Can you please scroll down the very link YOU provided and have a look at 'War Witch' under Foreign Languae Film? Thanks.Thanks. I already did that earlier, but I didn't know that War Witch was the same as Rebelle. That was the cause of the confusion. |
^ Stop being paranoid; if they wanted to, what's stopping them? They are the most powerful country in the world! If Nigerians cannot handle bribery, corruption, and boko haram, what chance do they have against Americans? |
sholesky: Nigerians are a people custom-made for slavery.Infinite Gbam. |
HisRib: The Oscars is an informal name for the Academy Awards.I know it is. I am not arguing that, but your article says that Rebelle was nominated for an Oscars, but that is not true. |
@OP Rebelle wasn't nominated for an Academy Award. This is the official site: http://oscar.go.com/nominees Am I missing something? |
@CFCfan You live in Cali, don't you? |
He should be appropriately dealt with. |
Congratulations to the amazing actress. |
tpia@:This thread is geared toward men. We understand what the OP said, in its entirety. |
