The OP here is condemning TB Joshua while i came to find out what exactly has this man done apart from the BBC story. You always say people shouldn't judge but here you are living the OP and targeting me even when i'm not judging the dead man! smiley
You're such a hypocrite.

Did I invite you here to judge me? So why are you crying fowl when you're being paid back in the same coin?

Your organisation obviously has something in common with the cult of TB Joshua, that makes you target those who expose their atrocities as those of yours.

Was This Bible Prophecy Speaking Of TB Joshua?

Jesus said false prophets and false christs would arise in the last days that would be so good at deception, they would be able to deceive even the elect of God.

Matthew 24:23-25

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.

So considering how many true Christians he was able to deceive, despite the testimonies of many of his ex-disciples and glaring evidence against him of his atrocities which has just been confirmed by the BBC, could it just be a fulfilment of the above prophecy by Jesus?

If so, we shouldn't be surprised because Jesus told us it was going to be possible in these last days.

What we ought to do, is to be on high alert and prepared for it, so we won't also be taken unawares and fall their deceit, because more of such false prophets and false christs that would be so good at deception, just as their master the devil, would still arise, because these are the last days Jesus told us about.

God bless.

That you didn't have a cell phone then didn't mean that everyone else doesn't have one.

That was exactly in 2003, but GSM phones were already in existence several years back. Do your research.

I can remember in 2001 in my church about when it came out, some kids in my church had it because their rich parents bought it for them, but most adults like me didn't.

So I understand your sentiments but please calm down a bit. You don't have to believe a true story for it to be true.

Social Media: A Curse Or Blessing To Christianity?

In the Bible days, to get the Gospel of Christ from one nation or part of the world to another, one would have to traverse long distances physically or through other transportation means available at the time to be able to do so.

This could take days, weeks, sometimes months, and possibly years to achieve, that's even if the person is able to survive the dangers and difficulties he faces along the way, for instance, ship wrecks, persecutions, diseases, etc.

However today, someone doesn't have to leave the confines of his building to be able to do so. Even from the comfort of one's living room, someone could be preaching the Gospel to those in an entirely different part of the world.

That's what the internet and social media has afforded today's preachers of the Gospel.

I'm pretty sure that the apostles would love to have had such an opportunity at their disposal. They would have taken it with both hands and exploited it to the fullest with respect to the assignment Jesus gave them to preach His Gospel to all men.

Of course, there's also the negative side that comes with the internet and social media, considering the fact that it's being more or less controlled by the world which in turn is under the devil's control.

However this is not unexpected as Jesus already knew this about the world yet He sent His disciples into the world to preach His Gospel, because He knew that if His disciples follow His instructions and watch and pray, there's nothing the devil or the world can do to stop or deter them regardless of the temptations, trials, persecutions, they brought their way.

Now imagine Jesus' walking on water, raising of Lazarus from the grave, or other miracles Jesus did being streamed or broadcast live on this day and age of the internet and social media, trust me, it will definitely have most views, if not most likes and shares than anything the world has to offer, because nothing of this world could equate that.

If Jesus is yet the most famous person that ever lived by far despite not having these channels at His disposal during His days, how much more if He did?

Jesus said those who believe shall do the works He did and even greater works because He was going to the Father. John 12:14.

That means that Jesus doesn't have to be here Himself to be able to achieve those same results.

He already made provision for His church to be able to replicate the mighty works He did on Earth before He left, so it's up to the up to the church to yield themselves completely to Him as did the early church, so He could use them to showcase the great and mighty works of God for the whole world to see that He alone is the Lord of the earth.

Hence I believe that if properly harnessed, the social media is more than a blessing for the church.

It provides a huge opportunity for the church to carry out it's divine assignment on Earth, to preach the Gospel of Christ to every creature.

God bless.

See What Happened Between 3 Guys And 3 Prostitutes At Night After Church Service

The church venue was located at an area replete with nite clubs and hotels, so prostitutes were often seen hanging out around that area especially at night.

The sight of them though, seemed to irritate Christians who worked, lived or had their church venues around that area, as I have often heard several of them express their disapproval of having to cope with the sights of such scantily clad ones on a frequent basis as a result.

One even took it to the point of praying for the clubs to be burnt down so the area could have some sort of reprieve. Even the church's pastor had spoken a times about not being comfortable holding church services around such an area.

However I seemed to be on a different page from them, as I didn't have any issue with them being there at all, close to the church.

Infact I saw it as a huge opportunity for the church, because I felt the purpose of the church is to reach out to lost souls like that with the Gospel, so it was supposed to be an advantage for the church to have such ones closeby or around them so they could easily reach them.

That was already my inclination, and on this particular night, we had just closed from midweek program at church, so I was with 2 guys. One was a friend, the other, a guest artist who also happened to be a pastor, and we were just making our way to the place we could get a cab to take us home.

Suddenly out of one of those clubs came 3 prostitutes, and they were seeking their customers as usual.

That was when they came into our conversation, as one of the three of us immediately expressed his disgust on sighting them. Ironically this was someone who I knew very well to be just a church-goer still living a life of sin and sexual immorality, yet he was the first to condemn someone else.

I was disgusted at his sheer hypocrisy, but wasn't fazed. Hence as my inclination was at the time, to preach the Gospel at every opportunity, I expressed my desire to instead share the Gospel with them regardless. And the other gentleman, who was a pastor, was on the same page with me, so we decided that we were going to approach the girls, which of course, we did.

Thankfully they gave us audience but seemed distracted at first as some car users, who they saw as potential customers were still passing by.

However after a while, we had their undivided attention, as we suddenly split into three groups, each of us with a prostitute sharing whatever we had to say with them, including the reluctant guy who seemed to have to no other choice but to follow suit.

It been over 20 years now since that happened so I can't remember exactly what I said to the girl with me and her exact response, but what I could remember was that at some point, i had to get a pen from my friend to take down her number perhaps for follow up afterwards, as she was willing to give me her contact which appeared kind of her.

Shortly afterwards we were through speaking with them and it appeared to have some short-term effect at least, as the three of them instead of staying back to continue waiting for customers, immediately left the area in a cab.

That was the last I spoke with the one with me or heard of her, so I can't say exactly how it panned out, however I was glad I was able to share the Gospel of Christ with her to at least give her that chance.

The pastor friend with us that day though came back with some encouraging update.

He testified that the prostitute he spoke to attended his church service the following Sunday and also testified there. She also shared with him some of her life's problems which perhaps that pushed her into the lifestyle, so he was able to also ask members of his church to assist her wherever they could.

I was surprised with his testimony though, because I didn't see that coming at all to be honest. After the prostitutes left us, I thought that was likely the end of it, as I didn't expect any of them to take our preaching seriously, but that suggested why we need to preach the Gospel to them regardless, because one never knows.

That could be the reason they come to know Jesus, the only Man who could fill the void in their hearts.

God bless.

It shows that you don't read your bible . Hundreds of disciples left Jesus, remaining only the 12 disciples. Only 12 remaining after hundreds left.even among the remaining 12,there was still Judas among them .

Read John 6:66

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
So In the Bible you read, more than one disciple of Jesus betrayed him?

Remember we're talking about betrayal not leaving Jesus except you don't know what betrayal means.

The Bible I read and even your Op says only Judas of all Jesus' disciples betrayed Jesus, but TB Joshua who instead of making disciples for Christ was making for himself, is being betrayed by many of his disciples as foretold by TB Joshua according to your post.

That's not usual except there's something he's not telling us.

Note: TB Joshua is not the first world famous, popular or controversial preacher to die unexpectedly. Many have, including Benson Idahosa, but it's hard to find many of their followers reveal such damning stories of rape, abuse, maltreatment, torture, abortions, etc., against them before or after their deaths. That why I asked, "why always TB Joshua" because they all can hardly be lying at the same time.

Why TB Joshua Deserves A Post-Humous Oscar

Many don't know that "the Synagogue, church of all nations" which was showing on all "Emmanuel TVs" for many years was actually a movie with TB Joshua as the lead actor and director.

That's because TB Joshua was so good in the role he played in the movie, many, including myself initially, couldn't believe he was only acting a movie, but thought it was truly happening in real life.

We fell for the movie tricks, special effects, scripted miracles, rehearsed lines, premeditated prophecies, make-belief stunts, arranged audience, staged reactions, and everything that contributed to making the movie so compelling, irresistible and consequently such a huge hit that people couldn't stop but kept going back for more.

That's how TB Joshua succeeded in deceiving so many, that even when his co-actors who also delivered their roles so well to make it the huge "success" it was, began to reveal what was actually going on behind the scenes of the movie years later, many were still refusing to accept the fact that it was only a movie script both they and TB Joshua were acting out.

They're still so convinced, they're attacking his co-actors for revealing the truth about what was going on behind the scenes, despite the irrefutable evidence they provided to back their claims, including video footage.

They don't just want to believe it's possible for TB Joshua to be have been acting or faking it. They're ready to defend him to the last or place a bet with their lives that TB Joshua was doing it for real.

I don't blame them much though because it's a testament of how good TB Joshua delivering his role in the movie, I myself also fell for it for a long time despite being a serious Christian.

I can remember how a close relative of mine who resided in Lagos and close to the Synagogue was telling me the same truth severally about him over 20 years ago.

Although I never followed TB Joshua or Emmanuel TV closely, as i still had some reservations about him concerning some his methods and primary focus which made me question him and his motives a bit, it still wasn't enough to convince me that he was fake.

I had a slight feeling he was being targeted out of jealousy, because of what I thought God was using him to do despite being illiterate and the kind of vessel that is often seen as foolish in men's sight. I even made a couple of threads here about him as a result at the time.

So i also fell for his deceit but it took God Himself revealing things concerning him to me via a dream for me to be able to see beyond the facade and come to realize the truth about TB Joshua.

I believe if it could happen to me, it could happen to anyone else.

It's because of how good TB Joshua was in the art of deception. He had mastered the art so well and made it almost impossible to detect just like his master the devil.

His innocent appearance also worked to his advantage, as it was the perfect casting for the image he wanted to portray of himself to the world.

Then his acting skills was next to none. I can remember seeing a video of him shedding tears, while a song he supposedly composed for Africa's unity during the xenophobic attacks in South Africa was being sung, and i was amazed at his acting skills. I don't think previous Oscar winners could have done a better job than that.

Finally his public display of philanthropy which he ensured got as much coverage as possible.

It was the perfect smokescreen to distract men from the real TB Joshua. It's no surprise it what won the hearts of most people as that's what many are still using to defend him today despite overwhelming evidence of his many atrocities.

The man TB Joshua really knew how to attract public sympathy.

He exploited the power of the camera to the fullest using it to create a totally different image of TB Joshua for the public from the real TB Joshua which was known in secret (behind the scenes).

Hence it's understandable why even some true Christian were still finding it hard to believe TB Joshua was faking it and not real.

Jesus said something about the false prophets and christs being so good at deception, they may deceive some elect of God, so this might be a hint of that. Matthew 24:24

Therefore we ought to be brace ourselves for more of such false prophets and false christs arising because these are last days that Jesus spoke about.

I believe however that just as God revealed the truth to me about TB Joshua at His appointed time, that He will also reveal the the truth to all those who were truly His where and when necessary.

They should just ensure they stay on His narrow path and they'd be fine at the end.

God bless.

Yes, although he's not here himself, the outcome would affect whatever he built upon such atrocious crimes.

For the BBC to commit fully to the issue, it means he's been completely nailed on the side of the law.

This though would also be a consequence of the spiritual outcome, because considering how diabolic he was, he would have used all the spiritual powers at his disposal to shield himself from indictment, so it would have required his defences being nullified spiritually for him to be possibly indicted in the physical.

It's doubtful anything will come of it.

Nothing came out of 116 people dying in his collapsed hostel, and you can bet in a country where rape is the culture and seen as something debatable to the extreme, they will say these people are trying to bring him down because he was rich. It's the usual defense for such allegations.

The focus will shift to his wealth. Jurors will prefer to get that wealth anyhow they can rather than face the allegations. Otherwise how were they not prosecuted with that many deaths?
I get your point about Nigeria and have already touched that concern on the Op, however what I speak of is beyond Nigeria. As you can see, the BBC is not Nigeria so if the time comes, even the Nigerian flawed system will not be able to save the wicked.

I saw this coming, however it not over yet. The Synagogue Tb Joshua built upon his atrocities will eventually go down because in the spirit realm it was only standing on one leg. So it's only a matter of time before it crumbles. I don't know how long it will take though.

Guessing this is the aspect that he can be held accountable for from a secular perspective with the law.

Wonder what spiritual accusations will crop up. The BBC wouldn't want to delve into that unknown. Maybe coercive control.

What's The Difference Between TB Joshua And Reverend King?

For me, i don't see any telling difference, except that TB Joshua was like a rich and more famous version of Reverend King, hence the different treatment being meted out to each of them by the authorities and security operatives.

It's obvious the degree of segregation that exists between the rich and poor in this nation with regards the implementation of the law.

The same crime that the poor would be penalised for and made to suffer till they've paid fully for, the rich would be allowed to get away with, and that without much ado.

Imagine if it was Reverend King whose building collapsed instead of TB Joshua's. Do you think he would be given the same preferential treatment?

The evidence of atrocities committed by both have been overwhelming and undisputable, however only one of them was deemed deserving of facing prosecution for his crimes.

It appears TB Joshua who is also very cunning despite his innocent looks, took full advantage of the major flaw in the system using it to his benefit hence evading any form of arrest while yet alive.

So at the end of the day, the laughing stock is actually the Nigerian flawed system, because had it been in others part of the world, including South Africa, TB Joshua would have long been thrown into jail just as his counterpart, Reverend King.

That's why it often takes for criminals to leave this country to pay for their crimes.

God bless.
