helen4: If the hospital has conducted a test to make the conclusion then follow the medication prescribed to you. The major thing I observed during teething is slight rise in temperature which could sometimes be accompanied with swollen gums and can cause baby discomfort. Paracetamol takes care of this and baby is fine. No need of any kind of teething drugs, soap, bracelet and all sorts. A lot times, mothers associate teething with stooling and this is likely to happen as a result of baby putting fingers in the mouth or picking dirts from the floor. You can curb this with teething rings and ensuring hygiene around your home and where you keep baby is top notch. 1 Like |

rabluk: If you are using ori(shea butter) for her face. Stop it for now because we have been experiencing too much heat recently. Its not compulsory to rub their face with oil/cream. When you stop the ori, observe again, if the rashes persist even with administering tribotan then her bathing soap may be the culprit. Cheers |

julieeni: Daycare will help. Just make sure you do proper checks before registering him in one. At least while he is there, you can breathe with ease, pamper yourself and rest your body. It's a phase though and some babies remain clingy for a long time despite enrolling them in creche. Once they sight you again during pick up, they resume being clingy. Go easy on yourself... |

realpearl: Was a lab test carried out before the prescription? If no, its better you see another doctor and insist on a test. 17ml is threemuch in my opinion. I want to believe it is a typographical error and a costly one at that. It is usually 5ml for that age. I yamu not a doctor so please see another doctor. In the meantime, administer paracetamol syrup to bring the temperature down. 1 Like |

eolowu1: Stop the dove soap and Ori you are using. If you are in Lagos, check healthplus or medplus for sebamed body wash. Big stockists of baby items usually have it too. You also check there for jimpo ori. It has good recommendations from mamas here. Aveeno baby soap have also worked for dry skin but go with the dermatologist's recommendations first. |

IreDara: What soap do you use presently? I believe any of the baby range of products in the market will be ok as they are mild on the skin. Just make sure you get the original of whatever you decide to buy. I have enjoyed using sebamed baby soap for my almost 2yrs baby. For body cream, original coconut oil does a good job for us. Make sure her daily meals are balanced too. 1 Like |

DollyBig: With all you described especially the bolded, your baby is very alright. All babies cannot be fat. Genetic factor has a role to play as well. A healthy and lively baby should be your focus. Continue to feed your baby well, maintain good hygiene, stay healthy as a mum and watch your baby hit his milestones without stress. Modified: To put your mind at rest especially if your instincts tells you something is not right, please take your baby for a check with a paediatrician. Cheers. 7 Likes |

Towerofgrace, God remains faithful. He is the mountain mover, waymaker, miracle worker and even much more than we can fathom. His grace is sufficient for you. Bask in the comfort only Him can give and keep praising Him for what He will yet do. Keep the hope in sight and hold firmly to faith. Everything is turning around for your good. plenty hugs mama Oluwashindara, Eriayo etc etc. |

Funmi2510: If you are doing EBF, improve your own intake of foods rich in fibre, vegetables and fruits. If you are not doing EBF then increase the quantity of water he drinks. You can even make the water lukewarm especially first thing in the morning. As per the poo color being somehow black, is it greenish black or black as in black? if you are taking iron supplements, it may be the cause. 1 Like |

ijesuloba: Welldone mama and congratulations. As regards your questions, 1) it is ok for baby to poo up to 3 times or even more in a day. 1a) the poo consistency of your baby is normal and very ok. read more about it here: https://www.babycenter.com/baby-poop-photos 2. Be sure to keep baby away from direct breeze from fan/ac. Wrap him well depending on the weather to prevent baby from having cold. You mentioned catarrhh, is the baby's nose runny? If yes you may need to do steam inhalation or drop some quantity of olbas oil/eucalyptus oil around the corners of the room. A lot of times, the sneezing from baby is just to show they are clearing their airways. If it bothers you so much, please see a doctor. 1 Like |
