Thanks for the response. Before now, we were feeding at least every 3 hrs now we don't even have our first meal till around noon and it's with struggle and singing. I don't have luxury of time for constant BF. Rejects formula too

I recently even tried august secret, it was rejected been trying everyday since Thursday also as morsel she no gree. I know it's a phase just can't help worrying

Dont feel too bad. Its because you havent discovered what she really likes.
My ds was like that too but since i discovered what he liked majorly, that was what i kept giving him o till much later.
first was apple puree (1 apple) then banana puree.(1 banana). Those two foods, he ate everyday for 5 good months. All other foods i tried including formula was just by luck and plenty prayer. Imagine being at work and receiving phone call almost every time, 'your son isn't taking his food o'. I just consoled myself that fruits too is a kind of food.

When he was about clocking 1yr, his eating improved a little and now at 18months, he will throw tantrums if i dont allow him feed himself.

it will get better, keep trying.

What to do naw this child of mine will keep protesting everytime I want to brush for him for no reason. That singing doesn't work for him

On days the protest gets out of hand, I lay him on the bed flat on his back holding his two hands. That way, he has little room to struggle cos i also stylishly pin his legs with my stomach. As he is protesting with that his mouth, the brush enters and fiam, I do what i have to do while laughing at him.

Lol... Remembering this as i type has thrown me into fits of laughter. Na for dis world he meet me

Help me o! My baby has been refusing to eat for sometime now. I have tried everything from cereal, pap, fruits, potato etc, nothing is working. Once food is sighted nah to shut mouth ni o. Been on for about 3 weeks and it's getting worse. How am worried cos she's losing weight. We are on just BM and 2-3 morsels of swallow taken max. twice daily.

P.S. We are 10 months. Cruising furniture, hyperactive and very healthy

That 2-3 morsels is still ok per feeding cos their stomach is still small in size. Just increase the number of times she feeds.
If you have discovered what she actually eats readily without hassles, keep giving her that. When she's less hungry, you can playfully try other foods.

Check if she's teething cos that may be causing her some slight pains.
If her lack of appetite persists, see a doctor. Meanwhile you can give her multivitamin to supplement what she's not getting at the moment.

Here's one from our iya alagbo que.en.snow

Depending on the quantity u can use ratio 40:30:30 yellow corn, guinea corn(preferably red) and soybeans or u can use equal ratio it doesn't matter cus all are nutritious u can even take it as a famly.
After u select all d ingredient soak dem over night after soaking the soybeans will swell up its fine don't fret Blend all and sieve then pour the derived ogi inside ur sieve, tie it and place it in a basket till all the water drain out pour in ur storage then place it ur fridge that's all u don't need to change water. U can blend ur gnut,plantain or sweet potatoes as powder then u add it while preparing as sweetner.
Note that some kids react to nut u might want to slow down with that.

A friend of mine who have been ttc for 15yrs has finally decided to adopt after 3 failed ivf.

She dose not want people to know it's adoption so she is faking been pregnant. All the necessary paper have been signed. The baby will be given to her January /February by the grace of God

The problem now is she has to submit for pregnancy leave and the only accept letter from a government hospital. Is there any one here who can help or knows anyone that can help. Or any advise or suggestion. Pls it's urgent .

Awww....I wish she embraced her decision without having to fake her pregnancy. There will still be many things she would have to cover up and it will make her feel uneasy later.
It takes a lot of courage to decide to adopt and she owes nobody any explanation.

Anyways, the deed has been done.

About your need, approach the officers in the registry of the govt hospital. They should be able to assist but will most likely ask for the maternity leave certificate issued by the private hospital or ask that she brings copies of her private hospital case file for verification. Not so easy i must confess , just pray the doctor that will sign it will not request for it.

She's not scared. It's more like a reflex action once she hears a sound.
As she grows older, she will be able control it once she gets familiar with the various kinds of sound.

The throwing is driving me nuts!

My mum bought him one tiny pankere to call him to order lol..she said he should not kill her daughter. Once she shows him the cane, he adjusts for a minute and then repeats his action.

Once i get tired of shouting, i kukuma lock both of us inside the room. The bed is big enough as a play yard. We scribble, sing, jump and then sleep..Tomorrow is anoda day niyen.

I only hope it will get better when he starts talking very well.

Let the younger lady be o jare. It's not everyone that finds it easy to warm up to people. She may even be struggling within on how she should relate with you that will not bring about any misunderstanding.

Infact enh...you just described my ds o. Apart from rearranging, the manner with which he throws things drives me nuts. I scold him but then he will just look at me and start smiling like someone who won an award.

For the past one month now,I expect my son to get bigger but he is becoming like me(lepa) but this is a boy that weighed 4kg at birth.He is 5 months old and he is on exclusive breastfeeding .We discovered that nowadays that he sucks his fingers a lot and put anything he lays his hand on into his mouth.All these leave us to worry may be he is tired of breastfeeding alone .And besides,he likes breastfeeding every time and after being fed ,he start cyring and making moves to suck again .Please,I want him chubby and I don't want him to be too slim like me .Can we start giving him all these tinned formulae or what is it called ?If yes,can you tell me which is the best for a 5-month old baby ?I mean the one that can change his weight .Lest I forget ,he weighed 4kg at birth and he is still 6.8 kg at five months!!!

Typically a baby should have doubled his birth weight by 5-6months even when exclusively breastfed.

Have you ever tried checking the quantity of breastmilk he consumes by expressing? He may not be getting enough milk. If he isn't then you may need to start him on age appropriate complimentary feeding.

If you are still in the hospital, have him checked by the doctor.

Instead of doing trial and error, It is better to go to the hospital and have it treated.

Whitlow is an infection and can be soooo painful to the extent of getting your nail disfigured/removed if not treated on time.

The home remedy for it is not 100% guaranteed sef. Few times i've had it, i treated using dry heat and avoided dipping hands in water. At another time, that didnt work and i had it treated with antibiotics.
